This paper presents the generalized and explicit expressions for evaluating the performance of the multi-phase interleaved boost converter (IBC) operating in discontinuous inductor current mode (DICM). The full-order averaged model is derived. The generalized transfer functions of interest are presented and the dynamic characteristics are analyzed. The generalized analysis of converter performance is verified through the experimental and simulation results.

This paper presents the integrated magnetic circuit desgning method for phase shift full bridge(PSFB) converter. The integrated magnetic circuit is implemented on redesigned of EI core. The transformer windings are located on center leg and the two inductors are located on the outer legs with air gap. Based on the equivalent circuit model, the principle of operation of the PSFB converter is explained. The operation and performance of the proposed circuit are verified on a 1.2 ㎾ prototype converter. The analysis and design of the integrated magnetic circuit is verified through the experimental and simulation results.

본 논문에서는 3상 벅-부스트 DC-AC 인버터를 위한 단일 마이크로컨트롤러를 이용한 디지털 제어기를 설계한다. 회로특성상 동작점의 변화가 크므로 대신호 모델 기반으로 제어기를 설계하고 전류제어기와 전압제어기 모두를 디지털로 구성한다. 디지털 제어기는 Microchip사의 마이크로컨트롤러인 dsPIC33F를 이용하여 구현하였으며, 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통하여 이론에서 제시한 특성을 검증한다.

A multi-phase interleaved buck converter is used to reduce current ripples and filter size of a power supply. This paper addresses the modelling and steady-state analysis of the multi-phase interleaved buck converter operated in discontinuous inductor current mode. The model is derived using an averaging technique in steady state. The do voltage ratio and the range of the discontinuous inductor current mode(DICM) and the continuous output current mode(COCM) are derived from the averaged state-space model. In addition, the efficiency is investigated according to the number of phase.

The three-phase buck-boost DC-AC inverter generates three alternating output voltages as the differential voltage of three DC-DC individual buck-boost converters. Three converters are driven with three DC-biased and 120° phase-shifted sinusoidal references. The peak value of the inverter alternating output voltage can be larger or smaller than the value of the direct input voltage. In this paper, a three-phase buck-boost DC-AC inverter is designed and implemented on a prototype with digital controller using a microcontroller.

In the paralleled converter module with peak current mode control, current imbalance appears when the voltage controllers with integral control of converter module are not exactly identical. In this paper, the voltage controller is designed to equal the current command of each converter module using the current command bus. The current balance controller is also proposed to balance the average currents of converter modules with imbalaced inductance. It is designed to have good transient response. Proposed method is implemented with the paralleled 2-module and 4-module boost converters with imbalanced inductance. Experimental results verify the performance of current share during both steady and transient states of converter.
