        영어능력으로 입학한 외국인유학생들의 한국어에 대한 태도변화 연구

        This study sets out to investigate whether English skills-based international students' attitudes toward Korean have changed after studying Korean language over the last one semester. Twenty-eight international students who entered into the university based on English skills participated in two questionnaire surveys in March and September 2019, respectively. The results showed that their attitudes toward Korean changed positively, particularly in the interest in learning Korean and favoritism of Korean people. In addition, the fear of learning Korean had been weakened over the last six months, which can be a good sign in improving Korean proficiency. The degree of exposure to Korean, Korean people and Korean culture, including the number of students who had a part-time job increased. When the level of English skills was applied to the attitude changes as a variable, the attitudes toward Korean did not change proportionally as per the level of English skills. However, it was noticeable that attitudes of the group in the highest level of English skills changed in the most positive degree. Looking at the results of this study, it is possible to suggest that the attitudes can change positively after taking a Korean language study, which is likely to affect the degree of exposure to Korean, Korean people and Korean culture. In addition, the results of the study may strengthen the belief that the international students who entered into the university based on English skills are able to complete their studies in Korea successfully as long as they are learning Korean language in the university.

        Language Ideology as an Intervening Process in Language Shift: The Case of Bilingual Education in Guatemala

        In Guatemala, language planning efforts have been formulated in order to decelerate the language shift from the Maya language to Spanish. Although many studies of bilingual education have been conducted to understand its benefits and limitations, ideological intervention in language shift has rarely been dealt with. By exploring the discourses used by education practitioners and parents in Momostenango, a bilingual Mayan community, this study illuminates the ways in which language ideology about the K’iche’ Maya language and language learning plays an intervening role in the on-going language shift in Guatemala. The language ideology can be summarized as follows: 1)the K’iche’ Maya language is “naturally” learned without schooling; 2)home is not where language is learned; and 3) students recognize the K’iche’ Maya language as a second language. I argue that language ideology’s role needs to be taken into consideration for more effective language planning in Guatemala.

        영어강의에 대한 대학생들의 태도변화 연구

        Choi, Jin-sook, 2012, A study of changes in attitudes towards English medium instructions among university students. This study examines Korean university students`` attitudes towards English medium instructions (EMI), how their attitudes change after participating in EMI, and whether their attitudes are related to English skills. In attempting to investigate the issues concerned, data collection has been carried out with a questionnaire with 84 EMI takers both at the beginning and the end of the semester. The overall results on surveys were as follows; the participants`` English skills were improved and the degree of exposure to English was also increased for one semester. Further, although their attitudes towards EMI did not show big changes for one semester, the anxiety and fear of EMI have been reduced and the perception that they acquired English skills and academic knowledge through EMI has been strengthened. Also, the level of English skills did not significantly affect their attitudes towards EMI at the beginning, but favoritism to EMI and anxiety and fear of EMI have been affected by the level of English skills at the end of semester; the more higher English skills, the more favorable attitudes to EMI and the less anxiety and fear of EMI in general, Additionally, it was notable that the lowest group of English skills showed more higher anxiety and fear of EMI at the final survey than the first survey`s. Therefore, this study suggests that original attitudes can change after taking EMI and English skills can affect the attitudes towards EMI after one semester, but EMI is effective to only those who are in high English skills.

        디지털기술을 기반으로 한 교육문화혁신

        Fundamental questions have been raised about the efficiency and usefulness of traditional university education due to rapid development of information technology and widespread of digital devices. Digital education like MOOCs, which has emerged as a possible alternative, seems to have potential to disrupt the existing way of campus education. Considering these, we discuss the characteristics of digital education revolution and the roles of platforms (YoutubeEDU, iTunesU, and mooc.org), contents provider (Khan Academy), and supplemental devices such as social media and augmented virtual technology. An open-platform mooc.org, which is called as “Youtube for MOOCs”, is expected to be one of the pivotal driving forces to move digital education forward even further, where anyone can upload or download educational material freely. Augmented virtual technology employed in Google glass or the SCARLET Projects improve learners’ understanding greatly. In addition, we find out that this digital education not only improve educational productivity, but also contribute to educational democracy as well as to pedagogical progress by tracking the entire learning processes of learners. These findings imply to which direction Korean university education reform should lead. 최근 십여 년간 정보통신기술의 급속한 발전과 디지털기기의 확산으로 전통적인 교육방식의 효율성에 대한 근본적인 의문이 제기되어 왔다. 이에 대한 대안으로 떠오른 것이 무크(MOOC)와 같은 디지털교육이고 이는 기존 교육의 근간을 뒤흔들 잠재력을 지닌 혁명으로 평가받고 있다. 이에 우리는 이러한 교육혁명을 주도하고 있는 유튜브에듀, 칸아카데미, mooc.org, 증강현실 기술 등을 중심으로 혁신적 교육문화의 특성을 규명하고, 디지털 교육혁명을 초래한 정보통신기술의 역할을 플랫폼 기술과 콘텐츠 공급자 그리고 보조도구 등으로 대별해 디지털교육혁명이 지닌 잠재력과 한계점을 파악함으로써 급변하는 교육환경이 향후 우리 교육에 미칠 시사점을 도출해보고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 누구나 강좌를 올릴 수 있는 개방형 플랫폼형태로 “ 무크용 유튜브”라 불리는 mooc.org가 향후 온라인 학습서비스시장의 비약적인 발전의 핵심 동력 중 하나로 예상되는 가운데, 스칼렛 프로젝트나 구글글라스에서처럼 증강현실기술의 교육적 활용사례가 급증할 것으로 기대된다. 한편, 디지털기술을 이용한 교육개혁은 전통적인 교육에 비하여 산출시점의 품질관리, 교육의 생산성향상, 콘텐츠 정보전달 및 교육기회 제공의 측면에서 교육민주화의 달성에 기여할 수 있음도 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 디지털기술을 기반으로 하는 교육은 학습자의 전 학습과정을 추적함으로써 학습과정별 데이터를 근거로 하여 교수법을 과학적으로 향상시킨다. 이러한 디지털교육개혁 노력은 유사한 문제를 안고 있는 한국대학교육개혁이 지향하여야 할 방향을 제시한다.

Pour enrichir lect vocabulaires publicitaires, la derivation et l'imbrication des mots-notamment le mot-valise et le deplacement de frontieres de mots-jouent un role preponderant. De meme la grammaire parlee nous permet d'avoir plus de slogans interessants. A travers l'analyse de la reclame sur les cosmetiques, nous remarquons la frequence de 1'utilisation du vocabulaire scientifique, surtout medical. Soit par la repetition, soit par l'operation syntaxique ou la substitution, l'ambiguite qui est une source de slogans entre en vigueur. En cas d'ambiguite un terme recoit uneo interpretation liee au registre familier, en meme temps qu'une interpretation technique ou specialisee. Pourtant il faut signaler que l'ambiguite n'est pas toujours passe-partout. Il est vrai que le langage publicitaire est une des ressources fondamentales pour l'enrichisse ment des vocabulaires.

      • 코로나 플라즈마 처리에 의한 HDPE 표면의 개질에 관한 연구

        We are able to generate the stable plasma in open air and nitrogen using a corona plasma treatment system(CPTS) with a high voltage. This was applied to treat the surface of rather non-polar HDPE(High Density Polyethylene) intended for the improvement of adhesion of over-coated layers such as coatings, printing inks. The surface tension of HDPE was significantly improved by the CPTS. The characteristics of surface layer were evaluated by means of contact angle measurement, ATR-FT/IR spectroscopy, and it was found that functional groups were introduced into the surface layer of the HDPE. The use of nitrogen was increased the surface tension of the HDPE from 33.8 mJ/m^2 to 66.56 mJ/m^2, and highly effective method of HDPE surface modification could be realized.
