EFL Curriculum Designers’ Sense-Making Strategies in Revising a Technology-Based Language Curriculum

Language curriculum designers have developed and provided ESL/EFL teachers with various technology-based language curricula in order to promote ESL/EFL students’ learning, motivation, and participation. Researchers have argued that there is a gap between the intended and the implemented technology-based language curricula for various reasons, such as the differences between curriculum designers and teachers. This study aims at describing how EFL curriculum designers understood and developed a technology-based language curriculum (TBLC) which was designed for EFL Chinese, teachers and students in China. This study selected four EFL curriculum designers and examined their experiences while revising the curriculum. By analyzing field notes, online surveys, and interviews their strategies and challenges were examined. The analyzed data showed that the four curriculum designers understood and developed their knowledge of Chinese teachers and students, the new curriculum revision, and the gaps between the intended and the implemented curriculum by using their unique sense-making strategies. It was also found that the four curriculum designers challenged and modified their previous knowledge, ideas, or skills through their informal knowledge management process, which connects the curriculum revision process to their situated learning experiences. Based on the findings, this research makes some implications for new technology-based EFL curricula development and future research into curriculum designers' sense-making strategies.

This study was concerned, after the oxide films(50 [.angs.]) were grown in a furnace and the MOS capacitor fabricated, with experimental comparison and verification about the Interference Effect of Electronic Waves in the ultra thin oxide/silicon interface. The average error was about 0.8404[%] in n'gate/p-sub and about 0.2991[%] in p$^{+}$gate/p-sub. Therefore, it was predicted that the Interference Effect of Electronic Waves can overcome somewhat according to the gate polarity.
The Perceptions of Elementary School Teachers on Flipped Learning for Elementary English Instruction

Flipped learning has recently been noticed as an important and innovative teaching method which aims to make student-centered learning a reality in classrooms. It can increase the interaction between students and teachers which transforms traditional lectures into individual and group based activities. Thus, the purpose of this study is to examine how teachers perceive flipped learning and how flipped learning can be applied in an elementary English education setting, especially, in terms of output hypothesis. The survey method was conducted with 242 elementary school teachers. As a result of analysis, teachers who know flipped learning had more positive thoughts on the possibility of using flipped learning in the English classroom than teachers who do not know it. Many teachers also perceived that flipped learning can create enough time and various learning opportunities during class, such as output or interactive activities which can provide speaking or role-playing activities. However, teachers also perceived the difficulties of making videos, searching meaningful content and resources for English education, and learning new types of teaching methods which seem to be a burden for teachers. As this study shows the possibility of applying flipped learning to the English classroom, more research and professional development on flipped learning should be developed and provided.
강소성 유한요소해석에서 Hourglass Control

The finite element method, based on rigid-plastic formulation, is widely used to simulate metal forming processes. In order to improve the computational efficiency of the rigid-plastic FEM, one-point integration is used to evaluate the stiffness matrix with four-node rectangular elements and eight-node brick elements. In order to control the hourglass modes, hourglass strain rate components were introduced and included in the effective strain rate definition, Numerical tests have shown that the proposed one-point integration scheme reduces the stiffness matrix evaluation time without deteriorating the convergence behavior of Newton-Raphson method. Simulations of a ring compression, a plane-strain closed-die forging and the three-dimensional spike forging processes were carried out by using the proposed integration method. The simulation results are compared to those obtained by applying the conventional integraiton method in terms of the solution accuracy and computational efficiency.

최근 NFC(Near Field Communication) 기반의 통신 기능을 채용한 스마트기기 및 OS 등이 확산되면서, 기존의 RFID를 이용한 다양한 응용분야가 NFC로 대체되고 있다. Smart NFC 기술은 기존 서비스 및 기기와 쉽게 융·복합이 가능하며, 스마트폰을 활용한 결제·의료·인증 등 새로운 Network Communication 패러다임의 창출이 예상되고 있다. Smart NFC 보안 인증기기(Smart NFC Security Authenticator: SNSA)의 H/W와 S/W를 개발하고, 무선통신 시험결과 허용기준값 이내를 만족하고, 토폴로지 영향의 실험 및 분석 결과, Daisy Chain 토폴로지가 Star 토폴로지에 비해 신호성능이 우수함을 보였다. As smart devices and OS with communication capabilities based latest NFC (Near Field Communication) have been spreaded, many applications with using existing RFID are being replaced to NFC. Smart NFC technology and existing services and devices can be easily combined convergence and advantage of smart phones, such as authentication and billing, medical care, the creation of a new paradigm of Network Communication are to be expected. By developing H/W, S/W of the Smart NFC Security Authenticator(SNSA), satisfying with wireless communication test results within accepted reference value, analyzing and testing the impact of topology, the signal performance of Daisy Chain Topology was much better than Star Topology's.
