This paper presented to develop a multimedia MUD(Muti User Dimension) game engine for multiuser through the information superhighway. The role of MUD engine is to control data obtained such as keyboard and mouse by input device. And MUD engine transformed the data into data suitable for output device. It displays monsters, items, player on screen in order to play the game. It also control background music and sound effect used in this game. In our research, Multimedia engine is make which is use to API function and WinG based on windows NT. It also needs database management module to supply data based on multimedia environment.

Because multimedia data contain high dimensional property,it is important to construct indexing structure to express data's own nature efficiently. And based on this indexing structure,fast query processing strategy to retrieve multimedia data is needed. In this paper, first we illustrate several high dimensional indexing methods and many kind of highdimensional queries. Next, in terms of nearest neighbor query, the most frequently used high dimensional query,we describe query processing strategy for efficient and fast query processing and propose new direction for further research.
PC-DBMS에서의 질의어 QDECOMP알고리즘에 관한 연구

In this paper, the following components are included: Data Definition Language (DDL), Data Manipulation Language (DML), Query Language for stand alone, graphic, and reporting facilities in PC-DBMS. We tried to design a menu-driven RDBMS so that can support DECOMP algorithm for query language and the users, unfamiliar with the computers, can easily use the databases. This system catalog file consists of RELCATA including information about the database files and FIDCATA including information about the database fields. DDL is provided to creat, modify and delete the structure of database files. DML is provided to update, delete, and modify a record, and Query Language is provided also. Graphic and Reporting facilities are used to provided graphs and reports, respectively.

Indexing strategy to save and retrieve multimedia data efficiently and main memory database technology to handle data fast are important part of processing multimedia data. In main memory database, all or a major portion of the database is placed in main memory. This concept is very important to process multimedia data fast. In this paper, we illustrate this two field and propose connection concept of the two field.

In Recently, the method of design needs the work to transform existing drawing made by hands into computer system environment.Most of drawing processing system until nowday is organized only to be able to store or load then information.We should know what contents is in drawing and whenever we want to know where some specific part is we should be able to find it through database. In this paper, DIRS(Drawing Information Retrieval System) construct based on relational data model.We consider to manage drawing information and to retrieval easily the drawing data.

In recent years the availability of databases and computer networks has given rise to a new field: distributed databases. The data which constitude the database are stored at the differnt sites of the computer network. In this paper, we explore failure handling for distributed DBMS. We propose how to extend recovery techniques for system failure. We must incorporate the distinction GR(Global Recover)and LR(Local Recover)into the Database Recover.
하이브리드 데이터베이스 기반의 4단계 레이어 계층구조에서 메타규칙을 적용한 질의어 수행 모델에 관한 연구

웹을 통한 생물 데이터 접근 방식은 많은 과학자들에게 대화식으로 서로 다른 형식의 생물 데이터베이스 내용을 검색할 뿐만 아니라, 한 데이터베이스에서 다른 분자생물 데이터베이스로의 연결을 위한 강력한 도구를 제공한다. 본 논문에서의 생물 개념 모델은 생물 데이터 제어를 위한 4가지 통합 레이어를 기반으로 각 생물 데이터 소스 간의 연관성에 따른 규칙 속성을 적용하고 데이터 소스 중에 관심 대상이 되는 개체를 표현하여 하이브리드 생물 데이터 모델을 구성하였다. 특정 사용자의 응용 서비스 요구가 발생하면 해당 생물 데이터베이스와 웹 서비스를 통한 데이터 소스로부터 정보를 획득한다. 본 논문에서는 통합 레이어를 기반으로 웹 데이터 소스 상에서 정보를 탐색하기 위해 메타 규칙을 적용한 질의어 처리 모형과 수행구조를 정형화하였다. A biological data acquisition based on web has emerged as a powerful tool for allowing scientists to interactively view entries form different databases, and to navigate from one database to another molecular-biology database links. In this paper, the biological conceptual model is constructed hybrid biological data model to represent interesting entities in the data sources to applying navigation rule property for each biological data source based on four biological data integrating layers to control biological data. When some user's requests for application service are occurred, we can get the data from database and data source via web service. In this paper, we propose a query processing model and execution structure based on integrating data layers that can search information on biological data sources.
