Recently, the countdown signal was introduced to enhance the pedestrian environment of crosswalk. However, research is still insufficient as to how comfortable and safe it is compared to existing signals as well as the most suitable location for installment. The statistical significance of the extent of change of pedestrian moving time on the graph was analyzed through a paired t-test, a before-after study on pedestrian crossing patterns and χ^(2)-test of both groups. Results form the application of the proposed analysis of the study showed that on introduction of the countdown signal, pedestrians will cross more amiably and comfortably than before.

The purpose of this study os to analyze the elderly's travel behavior and to measure the factors affecting their travel mode choice. Questionnaire survey was conducted for this study. It is assumed that the elderly is over 65 years old for this study. The major results of this study are as follows:(1) Because driving alone is very expensive travel mode, bus is considered as main travel mode for the elderly over 65 years old. (2) The friendship, recreation, an medical treatment are significant travel purpose. It was showed that the elderly's travel pattern is irregular. (3) Going up and down of stairs are the most important restriction for the elderly's travel.

Busan city experienced that its central business function moved from Nampo-dong to SeoMyeon largely due to the relation of city Hall on 1998 and the opening of subway 2nd line on 2001. Moreover, The urban redevelopments enhance the central business function of SeoMyeon. The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristic of Consumers' Shopping-around Behaviors and to analyzing the Shop-around Effect by the concept of Markov Chain Model.

After 1960, investment in transportation was preponderated in special area for the urban basis expansion with macro economic development strategy. Because of this, such social problems occurred in Pusan Metro - Area as enormous economic loss, excessive induction of transportation accident, too many energy consumption and quality deterioration of residential area with environmental debasement. To solve this problem essentially, it demands establishment of comprehensive, transportation policy by the government, consideration of relative importance of national transportation mixing in regional transportation, establishment of investment priority and securing financial resources in investment. This study considered financial resources for the investment of future transportation as the main theme of transportation policy in the main street. This study figures out the method for the appropriation of shortage in ninty eight billion won for construction and expansion of urban main street from 1991 to 2010 in the Pusan metropolitan area.
