Aneurysmal bone cyst, a benign non-neoplastic lesion of bone containing distened channels or cavities filled with blood, is rare in skull. The pathogenesis of this lesion remains obscure. Two cases of aneurysmal bone cyst of calvaria are presented. One affected the roof of orbit and extended intracranially. The other involved occipital bone as a peculiar cystic lesion containing herniated brain tissue. Diagnosis was made with. their blown- out findings of plain x-rays, surgical and pathological findings. Total surgical removal was accomplished in both cases in one stage. The postope-rative outcomes were uneventful in both cases. Angiograms, computerized tomography brain scans and tissue pathology were presented.

An XYθ stage for large area UV Nano-Imprinting Lithography (UV-NIL), which consists of linear actuators, translational/revolute joints, etc., has been modeled as flexible bodies. Multi-layer alignment control for the translation and angle offset cancellation has been performed in a virtual simulation environment using both ADAMS/Control and Matlab/SIMULINK. Furthermore, the vertical motions of three and four axis stages during the control action have been analyzed and compared to each other. The performed analysis can provide useful information for a high precision NIL stage development in the future.

In this paper, a computer simulation method for dynamic analysis of the hydraulic engine mount system is proposed. The hydraulic engine mount system controls the damping characteristics using the viscosity of fluid flow The complex stiffness of the main rubber of the hydraulic engine mount system is computed by finite element analysis for the viscoelastic materials and hydro-static elements. A numerical analysis method is presented to solve nonlinear equations of the hydraulic engine mount system. which is composed of an engine mass, fluid in inertia track and a vertical inertia force of reciprocating mass in the engine. Also. dynamic properties of the hydraulic engine mount system are analyzed in the frequency domain. Effects of the hydraulic engine mount system running over the rough road are investigated using a vehicle dynamic model. These results are compared with those of the rubber mount system.

In general low frequency vibration characteristics like an idleshake is mainly influeced by pillar section properties and joints. So the design technique development of vehicle pillar structures is required to initial design and vehicle development stage. In this paper to develop pillar structure design technique considering low frequency vibration characteristics, strain energy method, design sensitivity analysis method, and design optimization method using commercial finite element analysis program and optimization program are presented.
Evaluation of freezing and thawing damage of concrete using a nonlinear ultrasonic method
임홍재,박선종,김재홍,곽효경 국제구조공학회 2016 Smart Structures and Systems, An International Jou Vol.17 No.1
Freezing and thawing cycles induce deterioration and strength degradation of concrete structures. This study presumes that a large quantity of contact-type defects develop due to the freezing and thawing cycles of concrete and evaluates the degree of defects based on a nonlinearity parameter. The nonlinearity parameter was obtained by an impact-modulation technique, one of the nonlinear ultrasonic methods. It is then used as an indicator of the degree of contact-type defects. Five types of damaged samples were fabricated according to different freezing and thawing cycles, and the occurrence of opening or cracks on a micro-scale was visually verified via scanning electron microscopy. Dynamic modulus and wave velocity were also measured for a sensitivity comparison with the obtained nonlinearity parameter. The possibility of evaluating strength degradation was also investigated based on a simple correlation of the experimental results.
