Analytical relationship between sound relaxational absorption and sound speed dispersion in excitable gases

Zhang Kesheng,Zhang Shigong,Ding Yi,Ding Kai 한국물리학회 2021 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.78 No.11

Whether sound relaxational absorption and sound speed dispersion can be used as two independent acoustic parameters for gas sensing or not is still uncertain. In this paper, the analytical relationship between the frequency-dependent sound relaxational absorption and sound speed dispersion in excitable gases is derived and analyzed. First, the coefficient of compressibility in the Newton–Laplace equation of sound speed is extended to an effective one for relaxing gas. Second, using the relationship between the effective coefficient of compressibility and the effective wave number, we obtain the analytical relationship between sound relaxational absorption and sound speed dispersion from the high-frequency and the low-frequency sound speeds, respectively. The derivation and the simulation results for gas mixtures, including carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrogen, demonstrate that the ratio of the high-frequency sound speed to the low-frequency sound speed determines the amplitude of acoustic relaxation absorption peak, that the inflection frequency of sound speed dispersion is consistent with the relaxation frequency of sound relaxational absorption, and that sound speed dispersion contains all molecular information carried by sound relaxational absorption and is more applicable to acquiring the molecular geometry, the vibration frequency, and other gas molecular characteristics. This paper provides a more theoretical basis on using acoustic speed dispersion for gas sensing.

Genome-wide DNA methylation analysis in schizophrenia with tardive dyskinesia: a preliminary study

        Zhang Ping,Lu Yongke,Li Yanli,Wang Kesheng,An Huimei,Tan Yunlong 한국유전학회 2023 Genes & Genomics Vol.45 No.10

Background Tardive dyskinesia (TD) develops in 20–30% of schizophrenia patients and up to 50% in patients > 50 years old. DNA methylation may play an important role in the development of TD. Objective DNA methylation analyses in schizophrenia with TD. Methods We conducted a genome-wide DNA methylation analysis in schizophrenia with TD using methylated DNA immunoprecipitation coupled with next-generation sequencing (MeDIP-Seq) in a Chinese sample including five schizophrenia patients with TD and five without TD (NTD), and five healthy controls. The results were expressed as the log2FC, fold change of normalized tags between two groups within the differentially methylated region (DMR). For validation, the pyrosequencing was used to quantify DNA methylation levels of several methylated genes in an independent sample (n = 30). Results Through genome-wide MeDIP-Seq analysis, we identified 116 genes that were significantly differentially methylated in promotor regions in comparison of TD group with NTD group including 66 hypermethylated genes (top 4 genes are GABRR1, VANGL2, ZNF534, and ZNF746) and 50 hypomethylated genes (top 4 genes are DERL3, GSTA4, KNCN, and LRRK1). Part of these genes (such as DERL3, DLGAP2, GABRR1, KLRG2, LRRK1, VANGL2, and ZP3) were previously reported to be associated with methylation in schizophrenia. Gene Ontology enrichment and KEGG pathway analyses identified several pathways. So far, we have confirmed the methylation of 3 genes (ARMC6, WDR75, and ZP3) in schizophrenia with TD using pyrosequencing. Conclusions This study identified number of methylated genes and pathways for TD and will provide potential biomarkers for TD and serve as a resource for replication in other populations.

The Wireless Network Optimization of Power Amplification via User Volume in the Microcell Terrain

( Guo Shengnan ),( Jiang Xueqin ),( Zhang Kesheng ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2018 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.12 No.6

The microcell terrain is the most common wireless network terrain in our life. In order to solve wireless network optimization of weak coverage in the microcell terrain, improve call quality and reduce the cost of the premise, power amplifiers in base stations should be adjusted according to user volume. In this paper, characteristics of microcell topography are obtained after analysis. According to the topography characteristics of different microcells, changes in the number of users at different times have been estimated, meanwhile, the number of scatter users are also obtained by monitoring the PCCPCH RSCP and other parameters. Then B-Spline interpolation method has been applied to scatter users to obtain the continuous relationship between the number of users and time. On this basis, power amplification can be chosen according to changes in the number of users. The methods adopted by this paper are also applied in the engineering practice, sampling and interpolation are used to obtain the number of users at all times, so that the power amplification can be adjusted by the number of users in a microcell. Such a method is able to optimize wireless network and achieve a goal of expanding the area of base stations, reduce call drop rate and increase capacity.
