Most of the software development projects bear risks that need analysis and management. Risk management plays a critical role for the success of software project management. In this study, we have used delphi method to delineate critical risk factors. The study pulls out 20 project risk factors from 21 project managers. It is certainly clear that certain features are more risky than others. Our study shows that unrealistic cost estimation and changes in scope and objective are more risky than other features.

ARINC 653 applications using event synchronization may result in behaviors unexpected by the programmers when concurrency errors, such as race conditions, occur due to their non-deterministic executions. The errors can be debugged by means of previous visualization tools, such as System viewer, provided by ARINC 653 IDE. However, these tools do not consider race conditions, which require the programmers to analyze the process state transition considering event synchronization and to ratiocinate the occurrence of accesses to shared resources from source codes. This paper presents a visualization tool, called ConpathView that intuitively shows the aspect of the process execution with race conditions and the accesses to the shared memories based on the event services in ARINC 653 applications. The ConpathView enables to reduce visual complexity as well as to provide effective understanding of the aspect of the process execution. It provides concrete and practical information for debugging ARINC 653 applications by locating the accesses to the shared resources on the source code.

To evaluate the performance of concentrating solar cookers, a parabolic solar cooker have been designed and constructed. Tests were carried out to define the performance characteristics of concentrating cookers under ambient conditions. The performance and test of the solar cooker were measured and conducted using the international standard procedure that was proposed at the Third World Conference on solar cooking. Stagnation temperature and water heating tests were carried out to determine the maximum temperature attained by the cooker and to evaluate the thermal performance of the cooker. The analysis showed that the solar cooker has maximum cooking power and efficiency 474W, 420W and 41%, 40%, respectively.

We report the development of a semi-VLBI observation system operating at 21 cm and present the measurement of visibility function toward the sun using this system. The system consists of two 2.3 meter antennas with a maximum separation of 35 meter, a conventional high speed data acquisition system, and a set of programs for software correlation. Since two local oscillators of receiver modules are independent, data had to be fringe-fitted to yield the visibility amplitude. It is found that the visibility amplitude decreases and then bounces back as baseline increases. We confirm that solar disk with brighter limb best explains the measured visibility amplitude.

The Dish/Stirling system with the Stirling engine is currently used to convert solar energy directly to electrical energy. Successful operation of dish/Stirling system is supported by hybrid system, which will allow continuous operation driven by solar and combustion heating. The hybrid Receiver has to be provided with an additional combustion system. The heat pipe receiver and conbustion system were manufactured and tested for thermal characteristics of receiver. Maximum temperature difference along the heat pipe surface is 200?C. Emission measurements showed low NOx values of 28 to 46 ppm and very high CO values of 18 to 201 ppm.

The accelerated thermal aging of a CSPE were carried out for 0, 80.82, 161.63 days at 100℃, which are equal to 0, 40 and 80 years, respectively. The volume electrical resistivities of the non-accelerated thermally aged CSPE and the accelerated thermally aged CSPE for 40y and 80y were 9.620×10<SUP>12</SUP>∼1.246×10<SUP>13</SUP>Ω?cm, 5.066×10<SUP>12</SUP>∼7.576×10<SUP>12</SUP>Ω?cm and 7.195×10<SUP>12</SUP>∼9.208×10<SUP>12</SUP>Ω?cm at room temperature, respectively. The dielectric constant of the non-accelerated thermally aged CSPE and the accelerated thermally aged CSPE for 40y and 80y were 3.355∼4.030, 2.996∼3.963 and 3.020 ∼4.776 at room temperature, respectively. After seawater and freshwater flooding, the volume electrical resistivity of the CSPE trend slightly upward according to drying day at room temperature. After seawater flooding, the dielectric constant of the accelerated thermally aged CSPE were not measured. After seawater flooding, bright open pores of the accelerated thermally aged CSPE were partly transferred to dark close pores due to salinity. After freshwater flooding, dark close pores of the accelerated thermally aged CSPE were partly transferred to bright open pores because salinity of them is decreased. An insulation property of a cable in NPPs was decreased because of the seawater flooding, and an insulation property of them was recovered through the freshwater flooding. As a result, it is considered that an insulation property of a contaminated cable through Tsunami can be recovered if it is cleaned quickly.
