        Structural Relationship between Brand Personality of Winter Olympics and Host Nation, Image Fit, and Loyalty

        The current study assumes that positive brand personality of host nations would be transferred to the brand personality of mega sport events, and thereby affecting consumer behaviors. Additionally, such transferred effects would be amplified depending on the perceived image fit between host nations and mega sport events based on the principle of cognitive congruence effects. Therefore, the purpose of the current study was to examine the effect of the brand personality of host nations on consumer loyalty through the brand personality of mega sport events depending on the perceived image fit between host nations and mega sport events. The results showed that brand personality of host nation did not only positively influenced brand personality of mega sport event, but it also indirectly affected consumer loyalty. Additionally, the image fit between host nations and mega sport events was found to moderate the effect of brand personality of host nations on brand personality of mega sport events. Accordingly, we suggest that practitioners should develop positive brand personality of host nations and mega sport events while considering their image fit.

        First-principles investigation of V2CSe2 MXene as a potential anode material for non-lithium metal ion batteries

        The electrochemical performances of the V2CSe2 MXene as anode materials for Na, K, Mg, Ca, and Al-ion batteries have been systematically investigated by the first-principles method. The adsorption energies of metal atoms show that Na, K, and Ca atoms can effectively adsorb on the V2CSe2, except for Mg and Al atoms. The large diffusion constants for Na, K, and Ca atoms calculated by the diffusion energy barriers (0.098 eV for Na, 0.066 eV for Ca, and 0.24 eV for Ca) indicate the high mobility on the V2CSe2 surface. Significantly, the maximum theoretical capacities of V2CSe2 reach up to 394.12 mA h/g for Na and Ca ions. Furthermore, the low average open-circuit voltage (OCV) (0.150 V for Na, 0.175 V for K, and 0.072 V for Ca) indicates the V2CSe2 is a suitable anode material. These results provide fundamental guidance for the V2CSe2 monolayer as anode materials of non-lithium metal-ion batteries.

        The Effect of Service Quality on Consumer Satisfaction and Loyalty Depending on Consumption Motivations in the Context of Fitness Centers

        The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of service quality on consumer satisfaction and loyalty and to examine the moderating effect of consumption motivations in the relationship between service quality and consumer satisfaction in the context of fitness centers. The present study targeted 648 fitness center goers in the city of Busan and the province of Gyeongnam in South Korea, and 606 cases were employed in the final analysis. To test the research hypotheses, the authors conducted descriptive a statistical analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and latent moderated structural equation modeling. The results showed that overall service quality positively influenced consumer satisfaction, which enhanced consumer loyalty. Additionally, social motivation was found to positively moderate the relationship between service quality and consumer satisfaction, whereas psychological change motivation was found to negatively moderate the relationship. Fitness center managers should enhance diverse service quality components in order to satisfy their consumers, and they should develop strategies for service quality perceptions targeting a high-level group of social motivation and low-level group of psychological change motivation.

        Analyzing Research Trends in Marine Sport Industry and Future Directions

        The purpose of the present study was to analyze research articles on marine sports depending on research time period, research types, research topics, and research methods and to discuss future research directions in the field of marine sports based on the analysis. The current study collected 338 research articles related to marine sport, which were published in domestic academic journals from 2012 to 2021. Bibliometric analysis was performed to analyze the collected research articles. The major results were as follows. First, the overall temporal trend of publications indicated linear increase. Second, the majority of research was conducted by a single or two authors in marine sport research. Third, with respect to research type trends, the present study found that descriptive research took the greatest portion of research types. Meanwhile, researchers tend to rely on regression analysis, structural equations modeling (SEM), and analysis of variance to test their research hypotheses. In terms of research tier trends, the present study found that the majority of research had been published in academic journals indexed by Korean Citation Index (KCI). The results of analysis of research areas indicated that the number of publications in humanities and social sciences was greater the one in sport sciences. Lastly, the current study found that the majority of research pay tremendous attention to the topics of overall marine sport industry rather than specific marine sport activities. Based on the discussion on the results, several future directions for marine sport research were suggested.
