      • A case of Davener`s dermatosis

( Wonjoo Kwon ),( Jimin Ha ),( Eunbyul Cho ),( Eunjoo Park ),( Kwangho Kim ),( Kwangjoong Kim ) 대한피부과학회 2015 대한피부과학회 학술발표대회집 Vol.67 No.1

Davener’s dermatosis is a variant of frictionhypermelanosis first described by Naimer et al. in 2000. Davener’s dermatosis is characterized by an elongated, vertical, midline, hyperpigmented patch with indistinct borders, which was distributed along the skin overlying bony protuberances of inferior thoracic and lumbar vertebrae. Repeated rubbing of the lower back against a rigid backrest in subjects with a lean body type was considered to induce changes that promote hyperpigmentation. A 30-year-old male presented several ill-defined, elongated, vertical, hyperpigmented dark brownish patches on the back. He had a 2-year history of skin lesions on the lower back which spread gradually. He did not have any medication history nor underlying disorders. Biopsy specimen from the hyperpigmented patch showed diffuse hyperkeratosis, acanthosis, elongation and fusion of rete ridges, and marked basal hyperpigmentation in epidermis. Thus we diagnosed Davener’s dermatosis and treated with Q-switched neodymium: yttrium- aluminum-garnet laser. Davener’s dermatosis has been reported rarely and only one case was reported previously in Korea. Also, reports on treatment of the disease are sparse. Herein, we reportan uncommon case of Davener’s dermatosis.

      • A case of nevus spilus with congenital melanocytic nevus

( Wonjoo Kwon ),( Yosup Shin ),( Eunbyul Cho ),( Eunjoo Park ),( Kwangho Kim ),( Kwangjoong Kim ) 대한피부과학회 2016 대한피부과학회 학술발표대회집 Vol.68 No.1

Nevus spilus is a relatively common skin lesion characterized by multiple pigmented macules or papules within a pigmented patch. It is controversial whether NS is congenital or acquired. Congenital melanocytic nevus is defined as a cutaneous lesion appeared at birth, containing melanocytic nevus cells. It is characterized by the diffuse infiltration of melanocytes in the deepest reticular dermis and subcutis, and by the presence of melanocytes around skin appendages. A 16-year-old female patient presented with a congenital pigmented skin lesion on the left upper arm. Speckled brownish to black colored macules with background light brown patch was noticed. Skin biopsy was performed on her left upper arm, and showed pigmentation over dermal-epidermal junction. It also showed mild elongated rete ridge over diffuse junctional nest and nevus cell of upper dermis, with proliferating melanocyte along elongated rete ridge. Nevus cells were also present around hair follicles, sweat glands and vessels in the deep dermis. Immunohistochemical staining showed melanocytes on upper dermis which is positive in HMB-45 staining and basal layer cells with positive in S-100 protein staining. Therefore, the lesion was diagnosed with a nevus spilus combined with congenital melanocytic nevus. This case presents the evidence for the congenital nature of nevus spilus. Herein, we report a case of nevus spilus with congenital melanocytic nevus.

The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the awareness survey on the experience of fire fighting safety education and living safety consciousness of college students in the department of noncommissioned officer. Additionally, making provision of basic references and the effective fire fighting safety education is another important purpose of this study. In order to evaluate the awareness, the survey consist of 43 queries based on 6 queries for general characters, 9 queries for experiences of fire fighting safety education and 30 queries for living safety consciousness. The collected data from survey was analyzed using SPSS 20.0 win program. The interrelationship for general characters was confirmed using analysis of frequency, percentage, independent T-tset, ANONVA analysis, and regression analysis. The results show that the experience of fire fighting safety education and living safety consciousness of students from the combatant branch and ordnance corps are higher than those students from quartermaster corps. This may be attributed to the presence or absence of safety relevant courses on a curriculum. Therefore, the presence of safety courses on a curriculum should be one of important points for improving the experience of fire fighting safety education and living safety consciousness of these college students.

      • A case of cellulitis-like foreign body reaction after hyaluronic acid dermal filler injection

( Minseok Kim ),( Wonjoo Kwon ),( Eunbyul Cho ),( Eunjoo Park ),( Kwangho Kim ),( Kwangjoong Kim ) 대한피부과학회 2016 대한피부과학회 학술발표대회집 Vol.68 No.1

A 58-year-old female presented with 3 weeks history of painful skin lesion on the right cheek. The lesion was erythematous and edematous patch on the right cheek. Impression at first visit was cellulitis based on the clinical manifestation and mild elevated ESR and CRP levels in laboratory test. But her symptom and skin lesion were not improved with antibiotics so that biopsy was performed on her right cheek. Histologic examination showed diffuse inflammatory cells infiltration dominantly lymphocytes and some histiocytes. Multiple, clear vacuoles were remarkably observed forming “Swiss cheese” appearance, which is the histologic feature of foreign body reaction. Based on these findings, additional information of previous intradermal filler injection on both cheeks was obtained from the patient after biopsy. Since the treatment with oral antibiotics, systemic steroid, intralesional steroid and hyaluronidase injection, her cutaneous lesion and symptom have been improved. Previously reported foreign body reactions induced by hyaluronic acid dermal filler were typically manifested as nodular lesions at injection site, but cellulitis-like cutaneous manifestation as seen in this case has not been reported. Therefore, we report this interesting case of cellulitis-like foreign body reaction after hyaluronic acid dermal filler.

Effect of Complexing/Buffering Agents on Morphological Properties of CuInSe2 Layers Prepared by Single-Bath Electrodeposition

        Hana Lee,Wonjoo Lee,Kyungwon Seo,Doh-Kwon Lee,Honggon Kim 한국태양광발전학회 2013 Current Photovoltaic Research Vol.1 No.1

For preparing a device-quality CuInSe2 (CISe) light-absorbing layer by single-bath electrodeposition for a superstrate-type CISe cell, morphological properties of the CISe layers were investigated by varying concentrations of sulfamic acid and potassium biphthalate, complexing/buffering agents. CISe films were grown on an In2Se3 film by applying a constant voltage of -0.5V versus Ag/AgCl for 90 min in a solution with precursors of CuCl2, InCl3, and SeO2, and a KCl electrolyte. A dense and smooth layer of CISe could be obtained with a solution containing both sulfamic acid and potassium biphthalate in a narrow concentration range of combination. A CISe layer prepared on the In2Se3 film with proper concentrations of complexing/buffering agents exhibited thickness of 1.6~1.8 μm with few undesirable secondary phases. On the other hand, when the bath solution did not contain either sulfamic acid or potassium biphthalate, a CISe film appeared to contain undesirable flake?shape Cu2-xSe phases or sparse pores in the upper part of film.

Effect of Complexing/Buffering Agents on Morphological Properties of CuInSe2 Layers Prepared by Single-Bath Electrodeposition

        Lee, Hana,Lee, Wonjoo,Seo, Kyungwon,Lee, Doh-Kwon,Kim, Honggon Korea Photovoltaic Society 2013 Current Photovoltaic Research Vol.1 No.1

For preparing a device-quality $CuInSe_2$ (CISe) light-absorbing layer by single-bath electrodeposition for a superstrate-type CISe cell, morphological properties of the CISe layers were investigated by varying concentrations of sulfamic acid and potassium biphthalate, complexing/buffering agents. CISe films were grown on an $In_2Se_3$ film by applying a constant voltage of -0.5V versus Ag/AgCl for 90 min in a solution with precursors of $CuCl_2$, $InCl_3$, and $SeO_2$, and a KCl electrolyte. A dense and smooth layer of CISe could be obtained with a solution containing both sulfamic acid and potassium biphthalate in a narrow concentration range of combination. A CISe layer prepared on the $In_2Se_3$ film with proper concentrations of complexing/buffering agents exhibited thickness of $1.6{\sim}1.8{\mu}m$ with few undesirable secondary phases. On the other hand, when the bath solution did not contain either sulfamic acid or potassium biphthalate, a CISe film appeared to contain undesirable flake-shape $Cu_{2-x}Se$ phases or sparse pores in the upper part of film.
