Cultivation area of garlics is 9% of all cultivation area of vegetables. The amount of annual demand is increased in 1,000~1,5000ton Also, the amount of demand per person has a tendency to increase as above 10㎏, So, garlics has become important crops in agriculture. The purpose of this study is to acquire the basic information to design the garlic seeder attached power tiller. We used Working Model 3D program to design an automatic aligning device which is the most important part of the garlic seeder. The results are as follows; 1. The optimum depth of garlics seeding was shown as 3㎝. 2. The garlic seed has to be discharged from the garlic seeder at intervals of 0.75sec in order to seed at intervals of seeds of 15㎝ 3. The optimum design factors of the automatic aligning device were shown as cylinder diameter of 4㎝, cylinder gap of 1㎝, revolution of 36rpm and inclined angle of cylinder of 8.4˚.
상어 간유 흡인에 의한 급성 지방성 폐렴 1예 : 증례보고

저자들은 상어 간유를 과량 복용하고 기침, 호흡곤란을 주소로 내원한 48세 여자 환자에서 방사선 소견과 기관지 폐포 세척액 검사를 통해 급성 지방성 폐렴으로 진단하고 스테로이드에 불응하는 경과를 취하자 우측 전폐 기관지 폐포 세척술을 시행하여 폐 병변과 증상의 호전을 보인 1례를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Acute lipoid pneumonia is uncommon condition of the lungs that results from the aspiration of vegetable, animal, or mineral oils. Shark liver oil (so called Squalene) is taken as a traditional remedy in some Asian countries, and is used widely also in cosmetics. It results in foreign body type inflammatory reaction of the lung and can show various clinical presentations from asymptomatic incidental finding to severe pneumonia leading to acute respiratory failure. Although many cases have been reported, severe lipoid pneumonia requiring steroid or whole lung lavage for treatment is rare. We experienced a case of acute lipoid pneumonia of 48 year old female with dyspnea and cough caused by regular ingestion of large amount Shark liver oil, treated by whole lung lavage. We reported this case with a brief review of related literatures.

The susceptibility of weld metal(AWS, F76-EH14) on hot straining embrittlement has been examined. The sharp notch was machined on the weld metal of 1st bead and on coarse-grained HAZ transformed by next pass. After machining the notch, these specimens were bended at 250℃ to receive the hot straining embrittlement and they were done COD fracture toughness test by the three point bending, and then the change of plastic zone at notch tip was evaluated by microhardness test. The obtained results are summarized as follows. 1. Fracture toughness of weld metal was greater than that of base metal. 2. Fracture toughness of the coarse-grained HAZ was similar to that of weld metal. 3. Hardness of weld metal reheated by next pass was lower than that of weld metal owing to the effect of heat treatment. 4. Plastic deformation of the coarse-grained HAZ was less than that of weld metal.

Purpose: The optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD) measured by ultrasonography is among the indicators of intracranial pressure (ICP) elevation. However, whether ONSD measurement is useful for initial treatment remains controversial. Thus, this study aimed to investigate the relationship between ONSD measured by computed tomography (CT) and ICP in patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI). Methods: A total of 246 patients with severe trauma from January 1, 2015 until December 31, 2015 were included in the study. A total of 179 patients with brain damage with potential for ICP elevation were included in the TBI group. The remaining 67 patients comprised the non-TBI group. A comparison was made between the two groups. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was performed to determine the accuracy of ONSD when used as a screening test for the TBI group including those with TBI with midline shift (with elevated ICP). Results: The mean injury severity score (ISS) and glasgow coma scale (GCS) of all patients were 24.2±6.1 and 5.4±0.8, respectively. The mean ONSD of the TBI group (5.5±1.0 mm) was higher than that of the non-TBI group (4.7±0.6 mm). Some significant differences in age (55.3±18.1 vs. 49.0±14.8, p<0.001), GCS (11.7±4.1 versus 13.3±3.0, p<0.001), and ONSD (5.5±1.0 vs. 4.7±0.6, p< 0.001) were observed between the TBI and the non-TBI group. An ROC analysis was used to assess the correlation between TBI and ONSD. Results showed an area under the ROC curve (AUC) value of 0.752. The same analysis was used in the TBI with midline shift group, which showed an AUC of 0.912. Conclusions: An ONSD of >5.5 mm, measured on CT, is a good indicator of ICP elevation. However, since an ONSD is not sensitive enough to detect an increased ICP, it should only be used as one of the parameters in detecting ICP along with other screening tests.
Fractionated Stereotactic Radiosurgery for Brain Metastases Using the Novalis Tx<sup>®</sup> System

Objective : To evaluate the efficacy of fractionated stereotactic radiosurgery (FSRS) performed using the Novalis $Tx^{(R)}$ system (BrainLAB AG, Feldkirchen, Germany; Varian Medical Systems, Palo Alto, CA, USA) for brain metastases. Methods : Between March 2013 and July 2016, 23 brain metastases patients were admitted at a single institute. Twenty-nine lesions too large for single session stereotactic radiosurgery or located in the vicinity of eloquent structures were treated by FSRS. Based on the results obtained, we reviewed the efficacy and toxicity of FSRS for the treatment of brain metastases. Results : The most common lesion origin was lung (55%) followed by breast (21%). Median overall survival was 10.0 months (95% confidence interval [CI], 4.9-15.0), and median progression-free survival was 10.0 months (95% CI, 2.1-13.9). Overall survival rates at 1 and 2 years were 58.6% and 36.0%, respectively. Local recurrence and neurological complications affecting morbidity each occurred in two cases. Conclusion : FSRS using the $Novalis-Tx^{(R)}$ system would appear to be an effective, safe noninvasive treatment modality for large and eloquently situated brain metastases. Further investigation is required on a larger number of patients.

The paper establishes a policy classification system in order to classify and evaluate the science and technological innovation policies in Korea. We rebuild an innovation system model based on the national innovation system(NIS) concept. The model consists of human capital infrastructure(HCI), institutional infrastructure(II), technological infrastructure(TI), technology market(TM), industrial organization(IO), and innovation networks(IN). We give these 6 components of the modified system 1-digit number, respectively. Then we build the sub-systems according to these components, classify the policy categories in more detail, and finally complete the 3-digit policy classification table. This policy classification table may be useful in studying the science and technological innovation policy in both theoretical and empirical aspects. For example, the table can be the tool to examine the program portfolio profile(PPP) or to implement the questionary survey on the actual policies.

Al-brass is the raw material of manufacturing tubes for heat exchanger of vessel where seawater is used to coolant because it has high level of heat conductivity and excellent mechanical properties and high level of corrosion resistance due to cuprous oxide(Cu₂O) layer against seawater. However, damage of Al-brass tubes for heat exchanger of vessel is reported that local corrosion such as stress corrosion cracking occurred by synergism effect between mechanical factor and corrosion environment. In this study, to investigate on the effect of stress on the polarization characteristics of Al-brass. At the stress of 0% and 95% yield strength by constant displacement tester, in 3.5% NaCl + 0.1% NH₄OH solution, the polarization tests were carried out. And thus open circuit potential, corrosion current density, anodic polarization, cyclic polarization and dezincification behavior of Al-brass are investigated.
