Influencing factors of low-altitude unmanned aircraft navigation using AHP
SungKwan Ku,HyoJung An,DongJin Lee 국제문화기술진흥원 2020 International Journal of Advanced Culture Technolo Vol.8 No.1
This study examines whether unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) operated in the context of UAS traffic management (UTM) can be properly operated in its flight environment. In detail, this study examines the influencing navigation factors affecting UASs during flight and examines factors affecting the navigation of UASs under UTM. After deriving various factors affecting navigation, their importance are determined by applying the analytic hierarchy process technique, and the important influencing factors are examined. For low-altitude UAS navigation, errors are classified into navigation-system and flight-technical errors, and a hierarchy is constructed for their sub-factors affecting the influencers. Through this, influencing factors for precise navigation of low-altitude UAS are analyzed, and high importance items are identified
Runway visual range prediction using Convolutional Neural Network with Weather information
SungKwan Ku,Seungsu Kim,Seokmin Hong 국제문화기술진흥원 2018 International Journal of Advanced Culture Technolo Vol.6 No.4
The runway visual range is one of the important factors that decide the possibility of taking offs and landings of the airplane at local airports. The runway visual range is affected by weather conditions like fog, wind, etc. The pilots and aviation related workers check a local weather forecast such as runway visual range for safe flight. However there are several local airfields at which no other forecasting functions are provided due to realistic problems like the deterioration, breakdown, expensive purchasing cost of the measurement equipment. To this end, this study proposes a prediction model of runway visual range for a local airport by applying convolutional neural network that has been most commonly used for image/video recognition, image classification, natural language processing and so on to the prediction of runway visual range. For constituting the prediction model, we use the previous time series data of wind speed, humidity, temperature and runway visibility. This paper shows the usefulness of the proposed prediction model of runway visual range by comparing with the measured data..

Background: Kinetin is a plant hormone that regulates growth and differentiation. Keratinocytes, the basic building blocks of the epidermis, function in maintaining the skin barrier. Objective: We examined whether kinetin induces skin barrier functions in vitro and in vivo. Methods: To evaluate the efficacy of kinetin at the cellular level, expression of keratinocyte differentiation markers was assessed. Moreover, we examined the clinical efficacy of kinetin by evaluating skin moisture, transepidermal water loss (TEWL), and skin surface roughness in patients who used kinetin-containing cream. We performed quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction to measure the expression of keratinocyte differentiation markers in HaCaT cells following treatment. A clinical trial was performed to assess skin moisture, TEWL, and evenness of skin texture in subjects who used kinetin- containing cream for 4 weeks. Results: Kinetin increased involucrin, and keratin 1 mRNA in HaCaT cells. Moreover, use of a kinetin-containing cream improved skin moisture and TEWL while decreasing roughness of skin texture. Conclusion: Kinetin induced the expression of keratinocyte differentiation markers, suggesting that it may affect differentiation to improve skin moisture content, TEWL, and other signs of skin aging. Therefore, kinetin is a potential new component for use in cosmetics as an anti-aging agent that improves the barrier function of skin. (Ann Dermatol 29(1) 6∼12, 2017)

This study investigates non-native speakers(NNS) of English use of backchannels with beginner-intermediate learners’ use of ‘uh’, ‘um(uhm)’, ‘and’ and ‘hm’ suggesting a view as a possible pedagogical implication. The initial aim of this study was to learn this phenomenon and observe their conversation patterns to compare with previous studies. Based on the previous findings, the analyzed data using conventional Conversation Analysis (CA) methods indicate the possible presence of L1 topic markers, ‘-un’ and ‘-nun’ in the form of L2 backchannel tokens when uttered by beginning and intermediate level speakers of English and the presences of L2 backchannel tokens appear only in front of noun phrases. Additionally, these same words with these tokens and when translated back to Korean also require topic markers of ‘–un’ and ‘–nun.’ Finally, This study discusses possible pedagogical implications with the initial analysis of backchannel tokens for Korean EFL learners. In addition, the ultimate goal of this study is to refine this analysis with follow up experiments to validate this investigation into a working hypothesis generating discussions of this backchannel phenomenon from being viewed as a hindrance to as an positive influence that needs to be understood.

As the emission regulation is getting more stringent all over the world, it is requested that the conditions of a test vehicle on road are exactly simulated on a chassis dynamometer. An existing twin roll is replaced with a single roll on a chassis dynamometer for this request. Especially in the nations using CVS-75 mode as an emission regulation, road load is increased 10% for considering air conditioners. But it is not clearly described about 10% up condition on road load for CVS-75 mode using a single roll chassis dynamometer. We studied on the effect of road load on fuel economy of CVS-75 mode according to road load setting conditions on a single roll chassis dynamometer.

The goal of this research is to investigate an application of naming effects to improve reading abilities in extensive reading. In an early childhood learning, the three types of language developments are analyzed: labeling, packing and network-building processes. These three stages of language acquiring phenomena were the theories that explained a linkage between knowledge of words and knowledge of the world. The first theory, labeling or naming objects is an ability to match pre-linguistic knowledge with words. The next two theories are packaging and network-building stages allowing the learners to experience widening vocabulary leading to gain the knowledge of collocational links. In the final section, this paper proposes some possible applications and suggestions for further studies.
