As competitive pressures continue to intensify in the global marketplace, companies are demanding more from their business strategy and innovation such as performance measurement systems, TQM, JIT, reengineering, restructuring and benchmarking than ever before. Business strategy and management innovation techniques are closely related with each other. In this paper, we will examine new performance measurement system, Balance Scorecard, in view of strategy. Traditional financial performance measures largely ignore customer and competitive perspectives, so they fail to generate early warning signals of charges in the marketplace. Since companies can easily lose ground if they fail to react quickly to those changes, traditional financial performance measures tend to work against the optimization of shareholder value. In the mid-1980s, many companies began to overhaul their performance measurement systems because of their disillusionment with the results of relying on strictly financial performance systems. The balanced Scorecard, which is new performance measurement system, complements financial measures of past performance with measures of the divers of future performance. The objectives and measures of the scorecard are derived from an organization's view and strategy. The objectives and measures view organizational performance from four perspectives : financial, customer, internal business process, and learning and growth. In the future, the Balanced Scorecard will become the conner-stone of the strategic management system.

The Purpose of this Paper is to review critically the association of business strategy and innovations. During the 1980s, the field of management accounting was reborn, Increased global competition demanded that companies make changes in the technology and organization of their production processes and the effectiveness of decisions concerning pricing, product design, and product and customer mix. These demands required accurate information about production process and about the resources consumed to produce. products and sell them to customers, and also required new sustainable strategy and business innovations for survival in sharp competition, Business attempting for time-based management respond quickly and effectively to the changes in markes conditions such as new product introduction, JIT and customer complaints. companies trying to high quality products make enforcement quality control, and companies for pursuing new product development do their best in entering new markets and market share competitve position and competitve advantages are determined by excellent strategy and innovation. In these connection, we can see that business strategy and innovations are closely related each other.

조정식 Mg₁-χFe₂+χO₄(이하 Mg계)에서 x를 0.0, 0.025, 0.1, 0.2로 변화시키고, 소결온도를 1100°C~1250°C로 50°C간격으로 변화시켰다. 그 결과, NTC 서미스터의 특성을 잘 나타내었고, 저항온도계수 α는 Mg계일 때 -1.6%/°C로 높은 값을 나타내었고, B정수는 1500 [K]에서 2920 [K]의 범위를 나타내었다. 본 조성의 실험결과로써 Mn-Ni-Co계 서미스터를 Mg-Fe 산화물계 NTC 서미스터로 대체가 가능함을 확인할 수 있었다. Mg_{1-x}Fe_{2+x}O₄was prepared by sintering at from 1100℃ to 1250℃ with 50 C intervals, while x was varied from 0.0 to 0.025. 0.1, and 0.2. The results showed the typical properties of NTC(Negative Temperature Coefficient) thermistor. The best temperature coefficient of resistance, α was -1.6%/℃ in the Mg-based sample at 25 C. Thermistor parameter, B was in the range of 1500 [K]∼2920 [K]. As a result, the possibility that Mn-Ni-Co based thermistor could be substituted by the composition used in this study was confirmed.
B형 만성 활동성 간염 환자에서 Prednisolone 단기이탈 및 Alpha Interferon 병합요법의 효과

To evaluate the safety and efficacy of Pd withdrawal followed by recombinant alpha- Interferon 2b therapy. Nine patients were given a single daily subcutaneous injection of ^α-Interferon at a dose of 3 x 10 exp(6) units/day for first weeks and thrice weekly for next 15 weeks (maintenance) after pd tappered over 6 weeks. To evaluate the efficacy of therapy, we measured serum aminotransferase activities monthly during and after therapy, and also measured serm HBsAg, HBeAg and DNA probe before and after therapy. To evaluate the safety of therapy, all patients checked peripheral blood WBC, Hemoglobin, Platelet, BUN and Creatinine. The results were as follows : 1. In control group, the normalization of s-AST & ALT level, negative seroconversion of DNA probe & HBeAg were observed in 1/12(8%) & 7/10(17%), 0/10(0%) & 0/12(0%) at 6 months later, and maintained response in 1/11(9%) & 1/11(9%), 2/9(22%) & 2/11(18%) until 1 years later. 2. In treatment group, Serum AST and ALT returned to normal in 8/9 & 8/9 cases (89%) after 1 montns Tx. (mean serum AST : 33±8, ALT : 34±12 IU/ml) and maintained to normal response in 5/9(56%) & 6/9 cases(67%)after 6 months Tx. (mean s-AST : 55±43, ALT : 66±84 IU/ml), 3/9(33%) & 4/9 cases(44%) after 1 years Tx. It was statistically significant reponse except s-AST of after 1 years Tx. 3. In treatment group, s- HBeAg returned to normal in 3/9 cases(33%) after 1 months Tx., and maintained to normal response in 1/7 & 1/4 cases among follow up patients in after 6 & 12 months Tx. Serm DNA probe level were observed significantly negative seroconversion in 8/9 cases(89%) after 1 months Tx. (p<0.003), and maintained to negative response in 2/6 & 1/3 cases after 6 & 12 months Tx. 4. Serum AST, ALT, HBeAg and DNA probe were not significantly correlated with therapeutic response in relation to histologic diagnosis. 5. Fever and myalgia were noted in 9(100%) & 6(67%) cases. Headache, mild hair loss, anorexia, nausea, facial flushing & diarrhea were noted in few cases. Peripheral WBC(3cases) & platelet counts(3cases) were decreased transiently. This study shows that Pd withdrawal followed by recombinant alpha Interferon 2b therapy may be safe and effective in decrease the level of s-DNA probe, transaminase activity, loss of HBeAg and less adverse effect of clinical and hematologic examinations in patients with CAH type B. But it was necessary for study with large number of patients, more prolonged follow up duration and more strict control study.

가압 여과(Filter pressing)에 의한 Y-TZP/Mullite 세라믹 복합체의 제조를 위하여 슬러리의 분산거동을 살펴보았다. 각 조성에 해당하는 현탁액의 분산안정성을 살펴보기 위하여 분산제(NaHMP) 함량을 각각 0~1 wt.% 첨가시켜 pH 변화와 제타 전위를 측정하였다. 그 결과, Y-TZP, 그리고 Mullite는 분산제의 함량을 각각 0.5 wt.%, 그리고 0.8 wt.% 첨가하였을 때 최적의 분산 조건이 형성되었으며, 이 때의 pH 값은 8(±0.2) 이었다. 또한 Y-TZP/Mullite 혼합 현탁액에서 최적의 분산조건은 0.6 wt.% (pH 8.2)이다. 각 현탁액의 최적의 분산조건에서 고체함량을 20 vol.%로 한 Y-TZP/Mullite 현탁액에 결합제 함량이 약 0.15 wt.% 일 때, 가압 여과에 적절한 점도값인 100 cps를 나타내었다. Y-TZP/Mullite Slurries Stability by Filter Pressing were investigated. For the stable suspensions consisting of Y-TZP and Mullite. were examined dispersion behavior and viscosity measurement. A dispersing agent (NaHMP) was changed from 0 to 1 wt.%. and then pH and zeta potential was measured. As a result of examinations, the optimal contents of the dispersing agent for Y-TZP, and Mullite were 0.5 wt.%. and 0.8 wt.% respectively. and the pH values were around 8 (±0.2) . The optimal contents of the dispersing agent for Y-TZP/Mullite were 0.6 wt.%(pH 8.2). Optimal binder content of Y-TZP/ Mullite slurry for filter pressing was 0.15 wt.% and viscosity was 100 cps when the solid loading was 20 vol.%
Traction force microscopy for understanding cellular mechanotransduction

Under physiological and pathological conditions, mechanical forces generated from cells themselves or transmitted from extracellular matrix (ECM) through focal adhesions (FAs) and adherens junctions (AJs) are known to play a significant role in regulating various cell behaviors. Substantial progresses have been made in the field of mechanobiology towards novel methods to understand how cells are able to sense and adapt to these mechanical forces over the years. To address these issues, this review will discuss recent advancements of traction force microscopy (TFM), intracellular force microscopy (IFM), and monolayer stress microscopy (MSM) to measure multiple aspects of cellular forces exerted by cells at cell-ECM and cell-cell junctional intracellular interfaces. We will also highlight how these methods can elucidate the roles of mechanical forces at interfaces of cell-cell/cell-ECM in regulating various cellular functions. [BMB Reports 2020; 53(2): 74-81]
수술후 잔류담석에 대한 경피적 담도내시경적 제거술의 성적

Intrahepatic duct stones are frequent, and provide a quite different spectrum of problems to surgeons in the eastern hemisphere. Gallstones in both lobe of intrahepatic ducts may be more troublesome because sometimes they cannot be completely removed by conventional surgical procedures of stone extraction. The use of a flexible fiberoptic cholangioscope under fluoroscopic guidance combined with electrohydraulic lithotripter makes it possible to remove intrahepatic stones completely in the majority of cases. 59 patients with postoperative retained gallstones (intrahepatic stones in 52, extrahepatic stones in 4, intra and extrahepatic stones in 3) were treated with postoperative cholangioscopy and electrohydraulic lithotripter via T-tube tract. Complete extraction of stones were achieved in 55 of total 59 patients (93.2%), and in 51 of 55 patients with intrahepatic stones (92.7%). The numher of sessions of choledochoscopy required for complete removal of retained gallstones was from 1. to 9 (mean: 2.7), Failure of complete removal of retained gallstones were attributed to a the combination of stenosis and acute angulation in 3 patients with intrahepatic duct stones, and only acute angulation in 1 patient with intrahepatic duct stones. Complications occurred in 6 of 161 sessions (hemobilia in 4, bile duct perforation in 1, and loss of tract in 1), but no mortality related to this procedure occurred in any of the patients. The postoperative cholangioscopy combined with electrohydraulic lithotripter is considered to be a safe and satisfactory method for the treatment of retained gallstones, especially intrahepatic stones.
Repeat Vertebroplasty for the Subsequent Refracture of Procedured Vertebra

Vertebroplasty (VP) can effectively treat pain and immobility caused by vertebral compression fracture. Because of complications such as extravasation of bone cement (polymethylmethacrylate, PMMA) and adjacent vertebral fractures, some practitioners prefer to inject a small volume of PMMA. In that case, however, insufficient augmentation or a subsequent refracture of the treated vertebrae can occur. A 65-year-old woman visited our clinic complaining of unrelieved severe low back and bilateral flank pain even after she had undergone VP on the 1st and 4th (L1 and L4) lumbar vertebrae a month earlier. Radiologic findings showed the refracture of L1. We successfully performed the repeat VP by filling the vertebra with a sufficient volume of PMMA, and no complications occurred. The patient`s pain and immobility resolved completely three days after the procedure and she remained symptom-free a month later. In conclusion, VP with small volume cement impaction may fail to relieve fracture-induced symptoms, and the refracture of an augmented vertebral body may occur. In this case, repeat VP can effectively resolve both the persistent symptoms and problems of new onset resulting from refracture of the augmented vertebral body due to insufficient volume of bone cement. The stability of three different kinds of pUC-derived plasmids, pDsRed, pZsYellow, and pGFPuv, was investigated in Pectobacterium strains to utilize those plasmids as tracers. All three plasmids pDsRed, pZsYellow and pGFPuv showed their specific colors in Pectobacterium strains. Especially, the plasmid pDsRed conferred bright pink colonies on the Pectobacterium strains. When the bacteria lost the plasmid pDsRed, the colonies turned white, suggesting that the plasmid could be a good marker system for Pectobacterium strains on different environmental conditions. The effect of the antibiotic pressure on the stability of the plasmid was different depending on the host bacteria. P. carotovorum subsp. betavasculorum was more sensitive to the antibiotic pressure than P. carotovorum subsp. carotovorum Pcc21. However, temperature change significantly affected plasmid stability on both Pectobacterium strains. Almost all strains lost the plasmids with the shift in temperature from $28^{\circ}C$ to $37^{\circ}C$. Presence of the plasmids did not affect bacterial pathogenicity on their own host plants. Among three plasmids, pZsYellow was not useful as a marker because the yellow fluorescent proteins from pZs Yellow were interfered with the yellow natural fluorescence of the plant tissues induced by the defense system. Since the red color of DsRed can be seen with naked eyes, plasmid pDsRed was applicable as a marker. However, the color change was slow so that additional manipulation to increase the expression speed was necessary. Plasmid pGFPuv could serve as a perfect marker without any problem, tracing the reproduction and spread of the plant pathogens perfectly.
Effect of Platelet Activating Factor on Cardiovascular System and Blood in Rabbit

The platelet activating factor, i.e., 1-0-alkyl-2-acetyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine, is a potent phospholipid mediator for a variety physiologic alteration in vivo. This study was performed to clarify the effects of platelet activating factor or its derivative on cardiovascular system and blood in rabbits, especially the alterations of blood pressure, heart rate, serum electrolyte (Na, K), platelet and leukocyte level in blood depend on their chemical structure, dose and time course. The results obtained were as follows: 1. In intravenously-injected PAP group, blood pressure and heart rate were immediately decreased and recovered to the prechallenge level 60 minutes after injection. 2. Both leukocyte and platelet counts were decreased very rapidly and profoundly within 1 minute after PAF infusion. By 20 minutes, the leukocytes in experimental rabbits had returned to a 70% of prechallenge levels. By 60 minutes, the platelet had returned to a 70% of prechallenge levels. 3. The reduction in the all types of blood leukocytes except eosinophils was showed within 1 minute after challenge. The marked reduction in circulating levels of neutrophils and basophils was occured and lymphocytes showed little change during the experimental period. 4. No significant effect of the platelet activating factor on serum electrolyte (Na, K) was found. Between the hypotension, bradycardia and serum electrolyte (Na, K), no correlation was found in this study. 5. In the case of injection below lethal dose of platelet activating factor, there was no difference depend on the dosage of injection, all reactions were reversible. 6. The effect of cardiovascular system and blood on platelet actvating factor differed greatly according to the chemical structure and Lyso-platelet activating factor showed no biological activity. This study demonstrated that platelet activating factor responded to biological activity on cardiovascular system and blood. And the response was reversible and affected by the chemical structure.
