• Exploring the Factors Affecting Behavioral Intentions of Spectators: Case Study of 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup

( Shihao Huang ),( Yinggang Chen ),( Xia Xu ),( Yingying Gong ),( Bin Xu ) 아시아스포츠융합과학회 2021 Asia Pacific Journal of Applied Sport Sciences Vol.2 No.3

PURPOSE In this study, The event-destination image transfer model was used to predict and test the behavioral intention of spectators watching major sports events. Based on The Event-destination image transfer model, this study added place attachment as a new variable to investigate The influencing factors of audience decision-making process. METHOD This study sampled 500 spectators of the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup held in Beijing, China. The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup was held in Beijing, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Foshan and Dongguan on September 15, 2019. RESULT After spectators attend a mega-event held in a tourism destination, the event image positively affected the destination image. Destination image directly and positively affected spectators' behavioral intentions toward the destination. Tourists' overall attitude toward the destination was influenced positively by both the destination image and event image. CONCLUSION There are three significant antecedents factors for the behavioral intention of the destination, namely the image of the destination, tourists' overall attitude towards the destination and place attachment. The destination image directly and positively affects place attachment. Place attachment directly and positively affects tourists' behavioral intentions toward the destination.

      • Red, green, and blue fluorescent folate-receptor-targeting carbon dots for cervical cancer cellular and tissue imaging

        Li, Shihao,Jiang, Jie,Yan, Yinan,Wang, Ping,Huang, Gang,Kim, Nam hoon,Lee, Joong Hee,He, Dannong Elsevier 2018 Materials science & engineering. C, Materials for Vol.93 No.-

Abstract

Folate receptor targeted photo-luminescent quantum carbon dots (Fr-CDs) were successfully prepared from folic acid and phenylenediamine isomers through hydrothermal approaches. Fr-CDs were spherical particles smaller than 10 nm, and emit stable green, blue and red luminescence under ultraviolet region excitation (λex = 365 nm) with maximum emissive lengths at 530, 429, and 612 nm. And the corresponding photoluminescence quantum yield as 15.4%, 12.6% and 16.2% respectively. Up-converted photoluminescent properties in near infrared 800 nm spectral region located in green, blue and yellow region. In-vitro studies showed Fr-CDs had almost none cytotoxicity (cell viability over 80%) and high affinitive to the Hela celline highly-expressed-folate-receptor membranes, and lighted on cytoplasm as the fluorescent marker. It displayed long luminescent-stability with PL intensity above 90% in ultraviolet illuminant exposure over 24 h. In in-vivo studies, Fr-CDs were internalized and accumulated in targeted cancer tissues of cervical carcinoma and the emitting fluorescence maintains over 30 min.

Highlights

Multicolor carbon dots was prepared from folic acid and phenylenediamin isomers.

These carbon dots exhibit targeting abilities with high affinity to ovarian cancer cells and tissues.

Ultra-violet and near-infrared light excited photo-luminescent spectrums were investigated, and related quantum yield was calculated.

Graphical abstract

FA-doped CDs can effectively target ovarian cancer cells and aggregate in ovarian tumor tissue in a short 15 min.

[DISPLAY OMISSION]

      • Structural Relationship between Motivation, Involvement, Satisfaction and Loyalty of University Basketball Participants in China

( Qiwei Yang ),( Xin Qi ),( Shihao Huang ),( Chuan Yi ),( Yinggang Chen ) 아시아스포츠융합과학회 2021 Asia Pacific Journal of Applied Sport Sciences Vol.2 No.2

PURPOSE The main purpose of this study is to test the structural relationship between motivation, involvement, satisfaction and loyalty of university basketball participants in China. METHOD The study took the participants of basketball clubs from five universities in Hunan Province as the subject. 846 questionnaires were collected and 800 were used in this study. SPSS24 and AMOS were used for this research. RESULT The results show that the motivation of basketball club’s participants has a significant positive impact on involvement, satisfaction and loyalty; Involvement has a significant positive effect on satisfaction and loyalty; Satisfaction has significant positive influence to loyalty. Finally, involvement and satisfaction can play a partial mediating role between motivation and loyalty. CONCLUSION This study verifies the structural relationship between motivation, involvement, satisfaction and loyalty of Chinese college basketball club participants. Motivation is the most important factor affecting participants’ loyalty, while involvement has the least impact on participants’ satisfaction and loyalty. Consequently, the PE management staff in university should attach more importance the motivation of participants in order to attract more students to participate in basketball activity and maintain their interests.
