The orthognathic surgery for esthetic and functional improvement has developed for 150 years. Today, we can expect the better prognosis which is based on the early trial & error and advanced analysis technique. However, conservatism which advocates upholding of traditions and passive changes has been obstacle to scientific modernization as a contemporary co-worker. IVRI, ILRO, IVSRO, IVRO-SSRO, SSRO have been used to orthognathic surgery variously. In this article, we are going to compare IVRO, ILO with SSRO and advocate superiority of SSRO.

<P>The objective of this study is to develop a high-efficiency double effect absorption cycle using multi-heat sources for tri-generation (trigen) application. The trigen system produces electricity, heating and cooling loads at the same time. The double-effect absorption refrigeration system consists of two generators, condensers, solution heat exchangers, expansion valves, an absorber and an evaporator. The cycle simulation is carried out for the H2O/LiBr double effect absorption cycle with multi-heat sources for parallel, serial, reverse, revised serial and revised reverse flow patterns. The absorption refrigeration system uses the high temperature steam and hot water as the multi-heat sources. A new high-efficiency cycle is selected depending on the arrangements of additional heat exchangers. This study recommends HX 2-2 cycle with two additional heat exchangers (SDHHX and DHX) as the best candidate for trigen application. It is concluded that T-Hotwater has much more significant effect on the COP and (Q) over dot(E) than T-steam, in the HX 2-2 cycle. It is also found that the most important UA to affect the COP is UA(LG) while that to affect (Q) over dot(E) is UA(A). (C) 2016 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.</P>
Relationship between Neck Length, Sleep, and Cardiovascular Risk Factors

Ba ckground: Neck circumference, as a predicator of obesity, is a well-known risk factor for obstructive sleep apnea and cardiovascular diseases. However, little research exists on neck length associated with these factors. This study explored the association of neck length with sleep and cardiovascular risk factors by measuring midline neck length (MNL) and lateral neck length (LNL). Me thods: We examined 240 patients aged 30 to 75 years who visited a health check-up center between January 2012 and July 2012. Patients with depressive disorder or sleep disturbance were excluded from this study. MNL from the upper margin of the hyoid bone to the jugular notch and LNL from the mandibular angle to the mid-portion of the ipsilateral clavicle were measured twice and were adjusted by height to determine their relationship with sleep and cardiovascular disease risk factors. Re sults: Habitual snorers had shorter LNL height ratios (P = 0.011), MNL height ratios in men (P = 0.062), and MNL height ratios in women (P = 0.052). Those snoring bad enough to annoy others had shorter MNL height ratios in men (P = 0.083) and women (P = 0.035). Men with objective sleep apnea had longer distances from the mandible to the hyoid bone to the mandible (P = 0.057). Men with metabolic syndrome had significantly shorter LNL height ratios (P = 0.021), and women with diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and metabolic syndrome had shorter MNL height ratios (P < 0.05). Co nclusion: This study shows that a short neck by measuring the MNL is probably associated with snoring. In addition, MNL is related to cardiovascular disease risk factors in women.
Optimization of Self-Powered Time Temperature Indicator for the Operation and Performance

A self-powered time-temperature indicator (TTI) was optimized to enhance the performance of the TTI by modifying a biofuel cell using different immobilization, redox mediators, and status of electrode. The performance of the TTI was measured by output voltage of the TTI. The enzymes and combinations of lacasse mediators (HBT (1-hydroxybenzotriazole), Rupy (Bis-(bipyridine)-(5-aminophenanthroline) ruthenium bis (hexafluorophosphate)), MB (Methylene blue), SDP (4,4- sulfonyldiphenol)) and glucose oxidase mediators (FA (Ferroceneboxaldehyde), DBQ(2,5-dihydroxybenzoquinone), HQS (8-hydroxyquinoline-5sulfonic acid hydrate), FHFP (Ferrocenium hexafluorophosphate)) were immobilized with stabilizers (pyrrole) on a glassy carbon electrode by electrodeposition by applying a square wave, cross-linking and physical immobilization. MWCNTs were used to modify glassy carbon electrodes. MWCNTs coated electrodes produced higher output voltage than uncoated electrodes. The optimum and stable performance of the self-powered TTI was that the output voltage of 64 mV and duration time was 3hr at 25°C, when the combination of Rupy, MB for laccase mediators and HQS, FHFP for glucose oxidase mediators were immobilized on MWCNTs coated electrodes by applying a square wave method. In the application, the concentrations of enzyme and glucose were adjusted to prolong the shelf-life of TTI at much lower output voltage.
