Since modern attacks against information system utilize large-scale and distributed network, they become more versatile and complicated. We propose a new model of intrusion detection system, IDSS that can effectively detect multiple resource attack from to the inter-system and intra-system. IDSS (Intrusion Detection System for Seoul women's university) is optimized in agent unit to detect multiple attacks on network effectively and designed to and respond to them in real time.

Tuberculous pleurisy is a relatively common form of extrapulmonary tuberculosis. To evaluate whether prednisolone treatment can prevent pleural adhesion and result in early absorption of effusion in tuberculosu pleurisy, we studied 51 cases of exudative tuberulous pleurisy patients from Dec. 51 to Aug. 1987 by prospective randomized trials. Prednisolone was administered 5㎎/㎏/day for 3 wks in the steroid group. The results obtained were as follows: 1) At 3 months after treatment, the effusion was nearly absorbed in 6 of 18(33.3%) patients of steroid group, in 4 of 33(12.2%) patients of the non steroid group, and in 10 of the total 51(19.6%) patients. 2) At 9 months after treatment, pleural adhesion above the minimal degree was observed in 17 of 33(51. 5%). patients of the steroid group, in 8 of 18(44.4%) patients of non steroid group, and in 25 of 51(49.0%) patients in total. Among those patients, severe adhesion was developed in 2 of 51(4%) patients. 3) Pleural adhesion was developed in 14 of 33(42.4%) patients of the small amount group and 11 of 18(61.1%) patients of the large amount group. 4) Pleural adhesion was developed in 7 of 15(46.4%) patients of the early treatment group(<10 days of symptom onset), and 18 of 36(50%) patients of the late treatment group(>10 days). In conclusion, pleural adhesion was observed in a relatively large number of patients with tuberculous pleurisy after chemotherapy. Prednisolone resulted in early absorption of fluid, but could not prevent pleural adhesion significantly.

<P>We investigated the correlation between the flavonoid content and NO production inhibitory activity of fruit peel extracts using 20 citrus plants. The contents of seven flavonoids (naringin, naringenin, hesperidin, hesperetin, rutin, nobiletin, and tangeretin) were determined by HPLC analysis. Each citrus peel extract varied in flavonoid content, but the contents of nobiletin and tangeretin, which were contained in all 20 fruit peels, showed a positive and significant correlation with each other (<I>r</I>=0.879, <I>p</I><B><</B>0.0005 for immature fruit peels; <I>r</I>=0.858, <I>p</I><0.0005 for mature fruit peels). All citrus peel extracts dose-dependently inhibited LPS-induced NO production in RAW 264.7 cells. This inhibitory effect was significantly and positively correlated with the content of nobiletin and tangeretin. Nobiletin showed a more potent NO production inhibitory activity (IC<SUB>50</SUB>=26.5 μ<SMALL>M</SMALL>) compared to tangeretin (IC<SUB>50</SUB>=136.6 μ<SMALL>M</SMALL>). This result supports the premise that nobiletin-rich citrus may provide protection against disease resulting from excessive NO production.</P>

Background :The aim of this study is to investigate the hematological manifestations of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, the risk factors for cytopenia, and the effect of highly active anti-retroviral therapy (HAART) on cytopenia. Methods :Medical records of patients treated for HIV at the Seoul National University Hospital from January 2005 to March 2010 were retrospectively reviewed. To determine the impact of HIV itself, we excluded HIV patients who had other conditions that could have resulted in hematological manifestations. Multiple logistic regression analyses were performed to identify risk factors for cytopenia. Results :A total of 621 cases were investigated, and after exclusion, data of 472 patients were analyzed. The frequency of cytopenia was anemia, 3.0% (14/472); neutropenia, 10.0% (47/472); thrombocytopenia, 2.4% (12/472); lymphopenia, 25.7% (121/470); isolated cytopenia, 11.2% (53/472); and bicytopenia, 2.1% (10/472). The leading risk factor for cytopenia identified by multivariate logistic regression methods was AIDS status at initial presentation. After HAART, cytopenia was reversed in the majority of patients (thrombocytopenia, 100%; neutropenia, 91.1%; and anemia, 84.6%). Conclusion :This study isolated the impact of HIV infection alone on hematologic manifestations and confirmed that these changes were reversible by HAART. Control of the HIV infection will have the main role in the management of hematological manifestations of the virus.

LED 렌즈의 형상에 따른 배광곡선의 변화를 광학설계 프로그램인 LightTools를 이용하여 분석하였다. 이를 위해 Lambertian 배광의 백색 LED를 모델링 하였으며, 그 위에 실리콘 렌즈를 씌워 배광을 조절하여, 다양한 지향각에 대응하는 렌즈형태를 제시하고자 한다.

LED를 조명용으로 사용하기 적합하도록 Lambertian Type 의 백색 LED에 1차 렌즈를 씌어서 일정거리의 작업 면에서 균일한 조도를 얻고자, 광학 설계프로그램인 LightTools 를 이용하여 렌즈의 형태를 모델링하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 LED 광원의 배광분포 등의 광학적 특성을 비교분석함으로써 조도 균제도가 우수한 렌즈의 형태를 얻었다.
