      • 粉末 燻乾정어리 加工 및 貯藏中에 品質變化

        1976年 以來 우리나라에서 漁獲量이 急增하고 있는 정어리를 보다 效率的으로 食用化하기 위한 方法을 檢討하기 위하여 粉末燻乾정어리의 加工 및 貯藏에 관한 實驗을 하였다. 製品은 水分이 11.7%, 脂肪이 22.9%, 蛋白質은 61.7%였고, 原料 fillet에 대한 收率은 16.8%였으며, 담백한 맛과 燻乾品特有의 香氣가 있었다. 그리고 製品은 탄산가스 중에 貯藏하면 貯藏 중 酸化酸量의 變化가 거의 없고 品質을 安全하게 保藏할 수 있다는 結論을 얻었다. Since 1976 the catches of sardine have been increased rapidly in Korea. A processing method of smoked sardine meat powder and its quality changes during storage were studied. The fillets of raw sardine meat were boiled at 98℃ for 1 hour in a wire basket. After cooling at room temperature, the boiled fillets which small bones were removed were smoked at 60-70℃ for 8 hours. The second smoking was carried out under same conditions after 24 hours. The products were cleaned with brush and then powdered. The contents of moisture, lipid and protein were 11.7%, 22.9% and 61.7%, respectively. The yield of the product to the weight of raw fillet was 16.8%. According to the results of panel test, the product was well accepted having meaty taste and characteristic smoky flavor. The amount of oxidized acid in the product increased only a little during the storage in carbon dioxide gas.

        소아에서의 Garre 골수염

        Garre’s osteomyelitis is associated with bacterial infection and bone necrosis resulting from obstruction of blood supply. The most common cause for Garre’s osteomyelitis is odontogenic infection that originates from periodontal tissue or dental pulp. Subperiosteal abscess may also cause Garre’s osteomyelitis in the progress of the infection. Mandible is more often affected than maxilla, most commonly in the permanent first molar region of mandible. Clinically, it results in a hard swelling over the jaw, producing facial asymmetry. Meanwhile, radiograph shows a characteristic feature of irregular pulpal cavity, showing new periosteal proliferation located in successive layers to the condensed cortical bone on stimulated site. The treatment method for Garre’s osteomyelitis are removal of the infection source, root canal treatment, antibiotic medication, and incision and drainage. This report presents a case of Garre’s osteomyelitis under 15 years old. The patient was successfully treated by antibiotic medication accompanied with root canal treatment. Since the symptom of pediatric patients is less severe than adult, careful diagnosis with history taking and clinical examination is necessary. Furthermore long-term follow-up examination is needed to prevent recurrence even after the symptom disapears. Garre 골수염은 혈류 순환 및 영양 공급의 장애로 골이 괴사되거나, 세균 감염이 증가되면 발생한다. Garre 골수염은 치수 나 치주 감염에서 시작된 치성계 감염과 이의 진행에 따른 골막 하 농양이 주요 원인이 되며, 외상으로 인한 악골의 복합 골절 시 2차 감염, 국소적인 치은의 외상에 의해서도 발생할 수 있다. 상악에서보다 하악에서 많이 발생되며 호발 부위는 하악 제 1대구치이다. 임상증상으로 이환 부위의 하악골은 팽창되어 있으나 구강점막은 정상적 색조를 가지며 안면 불균형을 나타낸다. 방사선 사진 상 심한 우식증을 가진 치아의 치근단 병소를 관찰할 수 있으며, 자극을 받는 골조직 부위의 치밀골 증가로 골수강은 좁 아지거나 폐쇄되며 외양이 불규칙하게 나타난다. 치료 방법으로는 항생제의 투여, 원인치의 발치 또는 근관치료, 절개 및 배농술 등이 알려져 있다. 본 증례는 15세 이하의 소아환자에서 악골 골수염이 발생한 경우, 장기적인 항생제 투여나 항생제 투여 및 근관 치료를 병 용하여 성공적으로 치료된 증례이다. 소아 환자의 경우 성인에 비하여 증상이 경미하므로 주의 깊은 병력 청취와 임상 검사를 통한 진단이 요구되며, 증상이 사라진 경우에도 재발을 방지하기 위하여 장기간의 추적 검사가 요구된다.

        The main purpose of this study is to suggest the primary way of planning in north Kyonggy adjacent to DMZ. For this study, the current situations of north Kyonggy were surveyed and analyzed in terms of land use, economic-industry structure, SOC development etc. The results are as followed. ① The aspects of environment conservation and land use should be considered at the level of development strategies. ② The development of growth poles and the infrastructure should considered in accordance with the national strategy of unification.

      • 大豆油 高溫處理時 BHA, TBHQ, Silicone 및 시트르산 添加가 品質에 미치는 영향

        튀김할 때 식용유는 가열매체인 동시에 풍미나 영양원이 된다. 튀김용 식용유의 품질변화방지를 위한 기초자료를 얻을 목적으로 식용대두유로서 고온처리 및 튀김을 할 때 BHA, TBHQ, silicone 및 시트르산 첨가가 식용유의 품질에 미치는 영향을 실험하였다. 98℃이하의 열처리 결과 시트르산 1ppm, TBHQ는 50∼200ppm첨가한 것이 산화방지에 효과적이었으나 BHA와 silicone은 효과가 거의 없었다. 180℃ 가열처리 및 튀김시험에 있어서는 시트르산은 산화를 촉진하는 경향이 있었고 BHA 및 TBHQ는 별 효과가 없었으며 silicone이 가장 효과가 좋았다. silicone 1∼5ppm가지는 품질변화방지효과에 큰 차이가 없었으나 튀김할 때는 원료에 이행하는 양이 있으므로 첨가량이 증가할수록 효과가 좋았다. 그러므로 식용유 품질변화를 방지하는데 있어 100℃이하에서 처리할 때는 시트르산을 첨가하는 것이 효과적이고, 튀김처럼 고온처리하는 식용유에서는 1∼5ppm의 silicone을 첨가하는 것이 효과적이라는 결론을 얻었다. Edible oils serve both as a heat transfer medium and a source of flavor and nutrition since ,some of the fat is absorbed by the food being fried. In this paper, the effects of butyl hydroxyanisole(BHA), teritary butyl hydroquinone(TBHQ), silicone and citric acid on thermal stability of the soybean oil during heating and frying were evaluated. Judging from the results of swift stability test (active oxygen method) that the minimum effective concentration of citric acid and TBHQ for ,the thermal stability of soybean oil when heated at 98℃ was 1 ppm and 50 to 200 ppm, respectively. But BHA and silicone showed no effect. On the other hand, silicone seemed to improve the thermal stability of soybean oil during heating at 180℃ or frying with potato while BHA and TBHQ showed no significant effect.

        CASE REPORT : A Case of Drug-Induced Interstitial Pneumonitis Caused by Valproic Acid for the Treatment of Seizure Disorders

        Valproic acid is one of the most common antiepileptic drugs used for the treatment of several seizure disorders. A 20-year-old man presented with a sudden decline of consciousness. He had a neurosurgery operation for intracranial and intraventricular hemorrhage. Following surgery, antiepileptic medication was administered to the patient in order to control his seizure events. On valproic acid treatment, he began to complain of fever and dyspnea. His symptoms persisted despite receiving empirical antibiotic treatment. All diagnostic tests for infectious causes were negative. A highresolution computed tomography scan of the chest revealed predominantly dependent consolidation and ground-glass opacities in both lower lobes. The primary differential was drug associated with interstitial lung disease. Therefore, we discontinued valproic acid treatment and began methylprednisolone treatment. His symptoms and radiologic findings had significantly improved after receiving steroid therapy. We propose that clinicians should be made aware of the potential for valproic acid to induce lung injury.

        Human Turbinate Mesenchymal Stromal Cells as a Potential Option for Cartilage Tissue Engineering

        To produce alternate cell sources for the regeneration of cartilage, human turbinate mesenchymal stromal cells (hTMSCs) were tested by culture for their differentiation potential in three-dimensional scaffolds with conventional chondrogenic ingredients. We also evaluated the effects of co-culture with human septal chondrocytes (hSCs) on the chondroinduction of hTMSCs. We isolated hTMSCs from discarded human inferior turbinate tissue. The expression of mesenchymal stem cell surface markers was assessed by fluorescence-activated cell sorting. hTMSCs were cultured in an open-cell polylactic acid sponge with TGF-β and IGF-1. hSCs were co-cultured with hTMSCs at a 1:1 ratio. Chondrogenic hTMSC differentiation and the efficiency of co-culture with hSCs were analyzed histologically by toluidine blue O staining. Cartilage-specific gene expression and matrix production were evaluated quantitatively by real-time PCR and Western blotting. Surface epitope analysis revealed that the hTMSCs were negative for CD14, CD19, CD34, and HLA-DR, and positive for CD29, CD73, and CD90. hTMSCs cultured in the OPLA scaffold showed high cell expansion and a chondroblastic phenotype, demonstrated by the expression of cartilage-specific genes. The chondroinduced hTMSCs exhibited much higher cartilage-specific matrix production and gene expression than characteristic of hSCs or a 1:1 co-culture of hTMSCs and hSCs. These findings indicate that hTMSCs may be redirected towards a chondrogenic phenotype by in vitro culture when cultured in three-dimensional scaffolds with growth factors such as TGF-β and IGF-1.
