A novel process for the green chemistry approach of drug nanocarriers using sustainable conditions, and chemical methods involving one-pot synthesis of polymers and surface modification of SWCNTs is reported. Firstly, the polyampholytic alternating polymers were prepared with functional monomers by using thiol-ene chemistry in sustainable conditions. Then, the obtained polymers were applied for a direct functionalization onto the surface of SWCNTs in aqueous media with ultrasonication support through Diels-Alder click reaction. The synthesized hybrid was characterized by TGA, FT-IR, UV-vis, Raman spectroscopy and TEM. These hybrids were used as drug-nanocarriers to improve the drug loading capacity up to 150%. Finally, the in-vitro drug release profiles showed that there was a burst release of DOX at pH 5.5 when compare with the lower release rate at pH 7.4 in the physiological condition.
Molecular and Clinicopathological Features of Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors in Vietnamese Patients

Background: Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are the most frequent mesenchymal neoplasms of the gastrointestinal tract. Management of GIST patients is currently based on clinicopathological features and associated genetic changes. However, the detailed characteristics and molecular genetic features of GISTs have not yet been described in the Vietnamese population. Methods: We first identified 155 patients with primary GIST who underwent surgery with primary curative intent between 2011 and 2014 at University Medical Center at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. We evaluated the clinicopathological features and immunohistochemical reactivity to p53 and Ki-67 in these patients. Additionally, KIT genotyping was performed in 100 cases. Results: The largest proportion of GISTs was classified as high-risk (43.2%). Of the 155 GISTs, 52 (33.5%) were positive for Ki-67, and 58 (37.4%) were positive for p53. The expression of Ki-67 and p53 were correlated with mitotic rate, tumor size, risk assessment, and tumor stage. Out of 100 GIST cases, KIT mutation was found in 68%, of which 62 (91.2%) were found in exon 11, two (2.9%) in exon 9, and four (5.8%) in exon 17. No mutation in exon 13 was identified. Additionally, KIT mutations did not correlate with any clinicopathological features. Conclusions: The expression of Ki-67 and p53 were associated with high-risk tumors. Mutations in exon 11 were the most commonly found, followed by exon 17 and exon 9. Additionally, KIT mutation status was not correlated with any recognized clinicopathological features.

This paper reports a green and direct functionalization of poly(ethylene glycol)-graft-[furfuryl-graft-(poly(styrene-alt-maleic anhydride))] (PEG-PSMF) on the surface of single walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs)in aqueous media through Diels-Alder (DA) click reaction. Firstly, novel PEG grafted, furfurylfunctionalized copolymers were prepared by RAFT polymerization followed by ring opening reactions. The functional copolymer was simply grafted on SWCNTs by DA reaction at room temperature underultrasonication. The resulting hybrid materials were characterized by 1H NMR, GPC, UV–vis, FT-IR, TGA,TEM, and DLS. The hybrid materials possessed a high drug loading capacity (DLC) of doxorubicin (DOX),which could reach up to 279.9 wt.% of DLC. Moreover, in vitro drug release profiles showed that drugrelease rate at pH 5.5 under an acidic condition of tumor cell microenvironment was much higher than atpH 7.4 of the physiological condition. MTT assays demonstrated that the hybrid materials did not haveany practical cytotoxicity against the normal HEK293 cell line, while drug loaded hybrids displayed a highantitumor activity towards HeLa cancer cells. This strategy offers a promising SWCNT-based drug carrierfor tumor-targeted chemotherapy.
The Hedonic Method in Evaluating Apartment Price: A Case of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

The study examines factors affecting apartment prices in the real estate market of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The study uses primary data based on surveys of customers who have traded successfully, and collects transaction data from real estate trading companies that are the top investors in Ho Chi Minh City real estate market. The collected data include 384 observations in a total of 24 districts, detailing that each district surveyed on a minimum of four projects, each project carried out a survey on a minimum of four apartments. The survey collected 339 valid questionnaires for analysis and model testing. This study employs multivariate regression with the data of 339 observations. The research results reveal that five significant factors affect positively the price of apartments in Ho Chi Minh City - apartment area, toilet and bedroom, apartment floor, reference price, and apartment interior. Besides, there are three significant factors affecting negatively the price of apartments - next price trend, distance to city center, and potential building. From the results, the research proposes solutions in the pricing of apartments in the real estate market in Ho Chi Minh City - better information system, a real estate transaction index, and stricter management of small brokerage activities.
An overview bioactive compounds on the skin of frogs (Anura)

The robust development of frog farming offered high economic benefits but created a large waste residue of frog bones and skin that received little attention. Over the years, inedible by-products have often been processed into biomolecules of potential value and environmental benefits, such as collagen, gelatin, and bioactive peptides. An overview of bioactive compounds on frog skins from various countries indicated that brevinin was the most abundant biological peptide found in frog skin. Other remaining compounds also possessed their highlighted activities, including antibacterial, stimulating insulin release and gastric hormone release, anti-cancer, and neuroregulatory. Notably, various components have been analyzed in the structure and sequence to give meaningful insight into clustering components related to their biological activity. This review may create a source of raw materials for the developmental research of by-products from frog skin and concomitantly reduce environmental pollution.
