        The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between job stress and job satisfaction of employees in private body-guard company. In order to achieve this purpose, the instrument for data collection was a questionnaire in which consisted of questions regarding job stress and job satisfaction. The questionnaire's validity was evaluated by a panel of experts, and its reliability was evaluated by computing the Cronbach alpha values. Since the values ranged from .664 to .816, the questionnaire was deemed to be highly reliable. 220 subjects was selected from several private body-guard companies in Seoul, 2003. Among these selected subjects, 200(90%) responded, and data analyses consisted of employing descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, standard multiple regression using SPSS/PC version 10.0. The following results were obtained: First, job stress factors differ statistically and partially according to socio-demographic variables of employees in private body-guard company. Second, job satisfaction factors differ statistically and partially according to socio-demographic variables of employees in private body-guard company. Third, job stress statistically and significantly influenced job satisfaction.

      • 가정 주부의 골프 참여와 생활 만족도와의 관계

        This study purpose for figuring out the influence on household life satisfaction of Golf participation of Married women. The target of this study is 350 married women who participate in playing golf, The survey tool was inspection sheet, The autonomous variable is social population(ages, incomes, school career) and extent of Golf participation (participation career, frequency of weekly participation, daily playing hour) and suboridinate varibles was Household life satisfactions, The result was Household life satisfactions. The result was followed by arranging the data. The date was collected by using spess 10.0 setting up technical statistics and one way-ANOVA. The result follows ; like these: First, There wasn't any difference between the ages of married women and Household life satisfaction(p>.05). Second, The household life satisfaction depended on their ducational careers(p<.001). Third, The household life satisfaction depended on their incomes(p<.001). Forth, The household life satisfaction depended on their golf participation careers(p<.05). Fifth, The household life satisfaction depended on the extent of weekly using golf field(p<.001). Sixth, The household Life satisfaction depended on ther daily hours at golf field(p<.05). From these results we concluded that the household life satisfaction was higher when their school careers incomes and intensity of participations.

      • 여중생의 식생활 습관과 운동습관이 B.M.I에 미치는 영향

        In order to analyze the effects of eating and exercising habits on B.M.I of middle school girls. a survey was conducted to 57a middle school girls in Chungnam provincial area. For the survey, the multiple regression analysis was used to determine B.M.I with eating and exercising habits assumed as independent variables. First, it was revealed from the analysis that sleeping hours, among Factors of living habits. have influence on BMI. Second, such habits of diet as eating speed and quantity are found to exert influence on BMI. Third, attitude and intensity of participation in exercise turn out to affect BMI as exercising factors. From the above results, it was made clear that the sleeping hours. eating speed and quantity and attitude and intensity of participation in exercise have influence on BMI of middle school girls who are at the growing stage. It is therefore advised to intensify the education for middle school girls in the most serious phase of physical growth to draw attention to the importance of proper eating and exercising habits for their care of health and harmonious development and growth. For this purpose. diverse ways of research should also be mobilized to access to better source of information in this regard.

      • 노인의 사회인구학적 배경에 따른 건강관리, 유형, 신체활동과 식습관에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to analyze on the health care patterns, physical activity and meal habits with sociodemegraphic background in older adults, The subject of the study was selected by multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling among the older adult college and older adult center to participate whose age were 65 and over year old among inhabitant the Joeon Buk area, The data were collected the statistics employed the study were frequency and Chi-square test, enzymes have significant difference between treatment group The results that were derived form these processes were as follows: 1. Health care patterns have significant difference of according to sex(P<.05), age(p<.01), occupation(p<.001) and scholarship(p<.001). 2. Physical activity have significant difference of according to sex(p<.001), age(p<.001), occupation(p<.001) and scholarship(p<.001). 3. Meal habit have significant difference of according to age(p<.001), occupation(p<.05) and scholarship(p<.001) but according to the sex(P>.05) have no significant difference.

        저혈청 배지에서 인간 전골수세포(HL-60)를 이용한 tPA 생산과 세포사멸기작에 관한 연구

        tPA 생산과 세포 사멸의 연구를 하기 위해서 인간 전골수세포가 배양되었다. 연속 관류 배양하에서 최대 tPA 생산량은 324 ng/ml이며 최대 세포 농도는 5.27×10 exp (6) cells/ml였다. Phorbol ester를 넣었을 때 tPA 생산량은 420 ng/ml까지 향상되었다. 형광 현미경으로 관찰했을 때, apoptosis는 세포 배양 초기부터 중반까지 우세했고 빠른 교반 속도에서도 우세했다. 그러나 necrosis는 세포배양 말기와 동결된 세포가 해동 되었을 때 우세했다. HL-60 was cultivated to produce tPA (tissue-type plasminogen activator) and study the mechanism of cell death. Maximum cell density and tPA production were obtained as 5.27×10 exp (6) cells/ml and 324 ng/ml, respectively under perfusion cultivation. tPA production was enhanced to 420 ng/ml in adding 160 nM of phorbol ester. The cells were gradually differentiated to granulocytes rather than proliferation. By Fluorescent microscope, apoptosis was prevailed except the death phase and in high agitation speed, but necrosis was prevailed in thawed cells and during the latter periods of the cultivation. It was also proved that tPA was most produced in apoptosis. To obtain higher tPA productivity, the cells must be maintained in apoptosis, not necrosis phase when the cells were dying.

      • Methoxsalen supplementation attenuates bone loss and inflammatory response in ovariectomized mice

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Methoxsalen (MTS) is a natural bioactive compound found in a variety of plants that has many known biofunctions; however, its effects on osteoporosis and related mechanisms are not clear. This study examined whether MTS exhibited preventive effects against postmenopausal osteoporosis. Female C3H/HeN mice were divided into four groups: Sham, ovariectomy (OVX), OVX with MTS (0.02% in diet), and OVX with estradiol (0.03 μg/day, s.c). After 6 weeks, MTS supplementation significantly increased femur bone mineral density and bone surface along with bone surface/total volume. MTS significantly elevated the levels of serum formation markers (estradiol, osteocalcin and bone-alkaline phosphatase) such as estradiol in OVX mice. Tartrate resistant acid phosphatase staining revealed that MTS suppressed osteoclast numbers and formation in femur tissues compared with the OVX group. Supplementation of MTS slightly up-regulated osteoblastogenesis-related genes (<I>Runx-2</I>, <I>osterix</I>, <I>osteocalcin</I>, and <I>Alp</I>) expression, whereas it significantly down-regulated inflammatory genes (<I>Nfκb</I> and <I>Il6</I>) expression in femur tissue compared with the OVX group. These results indicate that MTS supplementation effectively prevented OVX-induced osteoporosis via enhancement of bone formation and suppression of inflammatory response in OVX mice.         Heshouwu (Polygonum multiflorum Thunb.) Extract Attenuates Bone Loss in Diabetic Mice

        This study investigated the effects and mechanism of Heshouwu (Polygonum multiflorum Thunb.) water extract (HSW) on diabetes-related bone loss in mice. HSW was orally administered (300 ㎎/㎏ body weight) to high-fat diet and streptozotocin-induced diabetic mice for 10 weeks. HSW significantly alleviated mouse body weight loss and hyperglycemia compared with the control group, and elevated serum levels of insulin, osteocalcin, and bone-alkaline phosphatase. HSW supplementation also significantly increased the bone volume/tissue volume ratio and trabecular thickness and number, and decreased the bone surface/bone volume ratio and trabecular structure model index in the femur and tibia. Moreover, HSW significantly increased femoral bone mineral density. In addition, HSW down-regulated osteoclastogenic genes, such as nuclear factor of activated T-cells, cytoplasmic 1 and tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase 5 (TRAP), in both the femur and tibia tissue, and reduced serum TRAP level compare to those of control mice. These results indicate that HSW might relieve diabetes-related bone disorders through regulating osteoclast-related genes, suggesting HSW may be used as a preventive agent for diabetes-induced bone loss.
