Wear is one of the most influential factors in profile grinding. The measuring of grinding wheel wear is costly and time consuming. We introduce a new online wear measuring method in a wet profile grinding for the inner ring groove of ball bearing. The advantage of this method is the reduction of electromagnetic influence of workpiece as well as the impact of grinding debris and cutting lubricant. Two pneumatic gauging probes are positioned at two different locations with the biggest gap in the wear value on the curved edge surface of the grind stone. When the compressed air flow is blown onto the working surface of the grinding wheel, the back pressure in the measuring chamber corresponding to the gap between the probe and the working surface of the grinding wheel can be measured. Therefore, the radial wear value of grinding wheel can be determined. Based on theoretical calculations and the establishment of its dynamic characteristic curve, it is demonstrated that the first probe measuring wear at the top of the curved edge surface of the grinding wheel with the parameters of the probe d 1 = 0.85; d 2 = 1.5; P = 4 Bar has a measurement range of 200 µm, a maximum speed ratio of 0.01 Bar/µm. The second probe used to capture wear at the margin of the curved edge surface of the grinding stone with the parameters of the probe d 1 = 0.65; d 2 = 1.6; P = 4 Bar has a measurement range of 140 µm, a maximum speed ratio of 0.03 Bar/µm. The experimental results show that the grinding wheel wear value varies at different points of the curved edge surface of the grinding wheel. In profile grinding for the inner ring groove of the 6208 ball bearing, the wear value at the edge of the curved edge surface of the grinding wheel is usually bigger than that at the top of the curved edge surface of the grinding wheel.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>With the aim of reducing the weight of structures, functionally graded materials (FGM) plates with variable thickness have been widely used in various engineering applications such as aeronautical, mechanical and ocean structures. However so far, the analytical approaches for analyzing the instability behaviors of FGM plates with variable thickness are still somehow limited in the literature. The paper hence presents an analytical approach to investigate the influences of variable thickness on buckling and postbuckling behavior of imperfect sigmoid FGM (S-FGM) plates resting on elastic medium subjected to compressive loading. The material properties of S-FGM plates are assumed to be graded in the thickness direction according to a simple power law distribution in terms of the volume fractions of the constituents. Governing equations are based on the classical plate theory with von Karman-type geometric nonlinearity. The initial geometrical imperfections of plates are also accounted. By using the Galerkin procedure and the Airy stress function, the resulting equations are solved to obtain the closed form expressions for nonlinear equilibrium paths. The effects of power-law indices, coefficients of foundation, initial geometrical imperfections and geometrical parameters on nonlinear stability of plates are comprehensively investigated. The results reveal that the variable thickness of plate has a significant effect on the buckling behavior of S-FGM plates under compression loading.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The aim of this research paper is to present the elastic buckling and free vibration analyses of porous-cellular plates based on the first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT). In the porous-cellular plate model, porosities are dispersed by uniform and non-uniform (symmetric and asymmetric) distribution patterns. The material properties, such as Young's modulus and mass density of the porous-cellular plates are assumed to vary along the thickness direction in term of porosity coefficient. First, the dynamic version of Hamilton's principle is applied to derive the Euler–Lagrange equations. Then, in the case of simply supported boundary condition, the critical buckling load and natural frequency of the porous-cellular plates are obtained using the Navier procedure. Furthermore, the reliability of the current formulation is validated by several examples. Finally, a comprehensive examination into the influence of porosity coefficient, porosity distributions, and the geometric parameters on the buckling behavior and vibration response of the porous-cellular plates are performed. Numerical results indicate that the effect of porosity distributions on the structural performance and provide the useful insights into the porosity design to achieve appropriately natural frequency and buckling resistance.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In the present article, static response and free vibration of functionally graded carbon nanotube reinforced composite (FG-CNTRC) rectangular plate resting on Winkler–Pasternak elastic foundations using an analytical approach are studied. The rectangular plates are reinforced by single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) which are assumed to be graded through the thickness direction with four types of distributions. The mathematical model of the FG-CNTRC plate is developed based on the first-order shear deformation plate theory (FSDT) and Hamilton principle. By using Navier solution, the governing equations are solved to obtain the central deflection and the natural frequency parameters. Several examples are verified to have higher accuracy than those from the previous method in the literature. Also, the effects of different parameters on static response and natural frequency of FG-CNTRC plate are highlighted by solving numerous examples. Finally, these new results may serve as benchmarks for future investigations.</P>

Relationships between Real Estate Markets and Economic Growth in Vietnam

This study analyses the relationship between the real estate market and economic growth in Vietnam, a country with a fledgling real estate market. Research data included economic growth rate and growth rate of the real estate market in Vietnam. The research used quarterly data for the period from 2005: Q1 to 2018: Q1. With the characteristics of Vietnam, there has been no real estate index up to now; therefore, the research used data on growth rates of the real estate market. In addition, the real estate market in Vietnam is still young, so the data series is very short, which is a limitation of this research. With qualitative and quantitative methods especially with the Vector Auto Regressive (VAR) model; the results of the study indicate new findings, unlike previous studies, including: (1) The real estate market positively impacts Vietnam's economic growth, most noticeably in the second quarter lag and the fourth quarter lag, and then its trend impacts inversely; (2) The real estate market and economic growth in Vietnam have fluctuated over time with many risks that are affected by the past shocks of these factors. From these ndings, we proposed some managerial implications for managing the real estate market with economic growth in Vietnam sustainably.
