Influence of Solution Concentrations on Surface Morphology and Wettability of ZnO Thin Films

        Jianguo Lv,Changlong Liu,Feng Wang,Zhitao Zhou,Zhenfa Zi,Yuan Feng,Xiaoshuang Chen,Feng Liu,Gang He,Shiwei Shi,Xueping Song,Zhaoqi Sun 대한금속·재료학회 2013 ELECTRONIC MATERIALS LETTERS Vol.9 No.2

ZnO thin films were grown on silicon substrates using a hydrothermal method. The XRD patterns show that all of the peaks can be attributed to the wurtzite structures of ZnO. The TC value of (002) plane and average crystal size increase first and then decrease with the increase of solution concentration. SEM and AFM results show that many dense hexagonal cylinder particles have been observed on the surface of the thin films, which grown at 0.08 and 0.10 mol/L. The surface roughness of the thin films deposited at 0.06,0.08, 0.10, and 0.12 mol/L are 24.5, 38.3, 32.0, and 39.4 nm, respectively. Surface wettability results show that the preferential orientation along c-axis and surface roughness contribute significantly to the hydrophobicity. The reversible switching between hydrophobicity and hydrophilicity is related to the synergy of the transition of wetting model, surface crystal structure, and surface roughness.

Facile Synthesis of Zn1-xCuxO Nanorods with a Very Broad Visible Band

        Jianguo Lv,Changlong Liu,Wanbing Gong,Zhenfa Zi,Xiaoshuang Chen,Kai Huang,Feng Liu,Tao Wang,Gang He,Xueping Song,Zhaoqi Sun 대한금속·재료학회 2012 ELECTRONIC MATERIALS LETTERS Vol.8 No.5

Zn1-xCuxO nanorods with different Cu concentrations are prepared by a hydrothermal method. Bent and aggregated nanorods are obtained, which is attributed to centripetal surface tension of the evaporation and coagulation processes of the water film on the ZnO nanorods. The broad visible band consists of one violet, three blue, and one green emission. The violet emission is due to the transition of electrons from zinc interstitial (Zni)levels to the valance band. The three blue emissions may be attributed to the transition from extended Zni levels, which are slightly below the simple Zni level, to the valance band. The change of the green emission may be the result of competition between oxygen vacancies (VO) and zinc vacancies (VZn).

Adaptive Control Based on Neural Network and Beetle Antennae Search Algorithm for an Active Heave Compensation System

Jianguo Liu,Xiyuan Chen 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2022 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.20 No.2

In harsh sea conditions, a shipborne stable platform is required for smooth offshore operations due to the serious sway of the ship. Aiming at this requirement, a new active heave compensation system consisting of an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and a Stewart platform is designed to compensate for the roll, pitch and heave motions of the ship. Firstly, the system is modeled in detail. Then, the task space controller is designed based on forward kinematics for the Stewart to eliminate the coupling errors of six links. To obtain accurate and real-time solutions of forward kinematics, a novel method based on Beetle Antennae Search (BAS) algorithm is proposed. In order to compensate for external disturbances, an improved adaptive control strategy based on Radial Basis Function Neural Network (RBFNN) with fading factors is designed. Finally, the effectiveness and rationality of the proposed method are validated by simulation and physical experiment. The maximum compensation errors of the proposed method are reduced by 70% in row/pitch and 40% in heave as compared to the traditional method.

A prospective randomized multicenter trial for lymphadenectomy in early- stage ovarian cancer: LOVE study

        Ting Deng,Kaijiang Liu,Liang Chen,Xiao-jun Chen,Hua Wen Li,Hongyan Guo,Huijiao Zhang,Libing Xiang,Xin Feng,Xiaoyu Wang,Hextan Y. S. Ngan,Jianguo Zhao,Dongling Zou,Qing Liu,Jihong Liu 대한부인종양학회 2023 Journal of Gynecologic Oncology Vol.34 No.3

Background: The Lymphadenectomy in Ovarian Neoplasms (LION) study revealed that systemic lymphadenectomy did not bring survival benefit for advanced ovarian cancer patients with clinically normal lymph nodes and was associated with a higher incidence of operative complications. However, there is no consensus on whether lymphadenectomy has survival benefit or not in early epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). Methods: We designed the LOVE study, a multicenter, randomized controlled, phase III trial to compare the efficacy and safety of comprehensive staging surgery with or without lymphadenectomy in stages IA-IIB EOC and fallopian tube carcinomas (FTC). The hypothesis is that the oncological outcomes provided by comprehensive staging surgery without lymphadenectomy are non-inferior to those of conventional completion staging surgery in early-stage EOC and FTC patients who have indications for post-operative adjuvant chemotherapy. Patients assigned to experimental group will undergo comprehensive staging surgery, but lymphadenectomy. Patients assigned to comparative group will undergo completion staging surgery including systematic pelvic and para-aortic lymphadenectomy. All subjects will receive 3–6 cycles of standard adjuvant chemotherapy. Major inclusion criteria are pathologic confirmed stage IA-IIB EOC or FTC, and patients have indications for adjuvant chemotherapy either confirmed by intraoperative fast frozen section or previous pathology after an incomplete staging surgery. Major exclusion criteria are non-epithelial tumors and low-grade serous carcinoma. Patients with severe rectum involvement which lead to partial rectum resection will be excluded. The sample size is 656 subjects. Primary endpoint is disease-free survival.

        Structural Characterization of Microwave-Assisted Solution-Synthesized Strontium-Substituted Hydroxyapatite

        Jianguo Liao,Yanqun Li,Xiali Guan,Jingxian Liu,Yongxiang Zhang,Yufen Xie,Zhengpeng Yang,Xingze Duan,Aiguo Zhou,Jiangnan Zhu 성균관대학교(자연과학캠퍼스) 성균나노과학기술원 2016 NANO Vol.11 No.10

Hydroxyapatite and strontium-substituted hydroxyapatite nanoparticles (n-HA and Sr-HA) were prepared by microwave-assisted solution synthesis with aqueous solutions of various Sr/(Sr+Ca) molar ratios ranging from 0% to 15%. The structural properties of the hydroxyapatite powders were investigated by X-ray powder diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and Raman spectra, field emission scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry and transmission electron microscopy. The results confirmed that strontium ions had been incorporated into the hydroxyapatite lattice. The synthetic n-HA and Sr-HA nanocrystalline consisted of hydroxyapatite crystalline phase with hexagonal structure, and the particle size was 30–40 x 60–70 nm and 40–50 x 70–80 nm, respectively. The calcined HA particle size ranged from about 120 nm to 150 nm, the calcined Sr-HA products were composed of spherical aggregates with a size of about 70–100 nm. The incorporation of Sr ions lead to the formation of vacancies in the crystal structure of the HA. The results indicated that the strontium substitution did not change the crystal structures. More Sr resulted in less calcined crystallites and formed agglomerates owing to the size effect.

Improved Mechanical Behaviour and Microstructure of Cemented Soil with Nanomaterials

        Jianguo Lu,Huayan Yao,Isam Shahrour,Qingyao Fang,Weilong Song,Guang Liu 대한토목학회 2024 KSCE Journal of Civil Engineering Vol.28 No.7

This paper presents an experimental study of nanomaterials' influence on improving the mechanical behaviour and microstructure of cemented soils. The strength characteristics were obtained through uniaxial compressive strength test. The influences of nanomaterials on the pore size distribution and micromorphology of cemented soil were investigated by nuclear magnetic resonance, scanning electron microscope, and X-ray diffraction. The results show that the uniaxial compressive strength of the cemented soil increases with the nano-SiO2content. When the content is 4%, the strength of the cemented soil increases by about 40%. Improvement with nano-Fe3O4 shows different trends. The strength of the cemented soil increases with the nano-Fe3O4 content, reaching a peak at 3% of the nano content, and then decreases with the increase in the content. The transverse relaxation time spectrum curve of the cemented soil is trimodal, and the main peak covers a dominant area. Adding nanomaterials improves the pore distribution, transforms large pores into small pores, and greatly reduces the pores of the cemented soil. The porosity of the cemented soil decreases exponentially with the increase of nano-SiO2 content. On the contrary, with the increase of nano-Fe3O4 content, the porosity of the cemented soil specimen first decreases and then increases, the porosity reaches the minimum at 3% content. Nano-SiO2 and nano-Fe3O4 can effectively fill the internal pores of the cemented soil and accelerate the hydration process. In addition, nano-SiO2 participates in the hydration reaction of cement and has a good promoting effect on the mechanical properties of cemented soil.

Multiphysical Design and Optimization of High-Speed Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor with Sinusoidal Segmented Permanent Magnet Structure

        Liu Chengcheng,Zhang Hongming,Wang Shaoheng,Wang Youhua,Lei Gang,Zhu Jianguo 대한전기학회 2024 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.19 No.3

High speed permanent magnet synchronous motor (HSPMSM) is an important driving motor for electric vehicles. Compared with the electric motor operated under normal speed, it is critical to reduce the torque ripple, vibration, and noise of the HSPMSM. Furthermore, The air-gap fux density total harmonic distortion and electromotive force total harmonic distortion determine by torque performance and vibration noise. This article uses analytical methods to analyze the infuence of permanent magnet sinusoidal segmentation (PMS) on the electromagnetic performance of surface-mounted HSPMSM. The fnite element method is used to calculate the infuence of diferent permanent magnet segmentation numbers, diferent adjacent permanent magnet decreasing thickness, and diferent center PM width on the electromagnetic performance of permanent magnet sinusoidal segmented surface-mounted high-speed permanent magnet synchronous motor (M2). Comparing the efectiveness of PMS in surface-mounted HSPMSM and interior HSPMSM. Furthermore, the rotor dynamics analysis and vibration noise analysis on M2 are performed, and the infuence of PMS on the stress and vibration noise of both motors’ rotors is summarized. This article proposes a parameter preprocessing grouping multiphysical multi-objective high-dimensional multilevel optimization method. Taking M2 as an example, a global optimization design was carried out for the high-dimensional structural parameters brought by PMS, which improved the electromagnetic performance of M2 and reduced the vibration noise and rotor stress.

Metabolome and Transcriptome Analyses Reveal Tissue‑Specifc Variations in Gene Expression and Metabolites of Olive

        Liu Xiaoxia,Zhang Jianguo,Luo Ying,Rao Guodong 한국식물학회 2020 Journal of Plant Biology Vol.63 No.1

Metabolome and transcriptional correlation analyses can be used to reveal the relationship between metabolites and gene expression in diferent tissues. Here, targeted metabolome and Illumina RNA-Seq analyses were used for the identifcation of co-regulated metabolites and genes from three diferent tissue of Olea europaea (fruits, new leaves, and old leaves). In total, 57.49 Gb of clean data from nine samples was obtained. The clean data of each sample reached 5.25 Gb, and the Q30 base percentage exceeded 88.44%. Through sequence alignments of clean reads from each sample with the olive reference genome, 3049 newly annotated genes were identifed, of which 2350 were functionally annotated. Diferentially expressed genes (DEGs) and metabolite correlation analysis showed that most of the up-regulated genes in fruits were enriched in fatty acid (FA) biosynthesis metabolic pathways; the up-regulated genes in leaves were mainly related to plant hormones, biotic (abiotic) stress tolerance, signal transduction, and secondary metabolite biosynthesis pathways. The current global gene expression and metabolite content profling exercise provides a comprehensive view of the combination of transcriptome and metabolome data, which provides valuable information for identifying DEGs in olives.

Weighted rank estimation for nonparametric transformation models with doubly truncated data

Liu Tianqing,원소휘,Sun Jianguo 한국통계학회 2021 Journal of the Korean Statistical Society Vol.50 No.1

Doubly truncated data often arise when event times are observed only if they fall within subject-specifc intervals. We analyze doubly truncated data using nonparametric transformation models, where an unknown monotonically increasing transformation of the response variable is equal to an unknown monotonically increasing function of a linear combination of the covariates plus a random error with an unspecifed log-concave probability density function. Furthermore, we assume that the truncation variables are conditionally independent of the response variable given the covariates and leave the conditional distributions of truncation variables given the covariates unspecifed. For estimation of regression parameters, we propose a weighted rank (WR) estimation procedure and establish the consistency and asymptotic normality of the resulting estimator. The limiting covariance matrix of the WR estimator can be estimated by a resampling technique, which does not involve nonparametric density estimation or numerical derivatives. A numerical study is conducted and suggests that the proposed methodology works well in practice, and an illustration based on real data is provided.
