In-Situ Heat Cooling using Thick Graphene and Temperature Monitoring with Single Mask Process

In this paper, in-situ heat cooling with temperature monitoring is reported to solve thermal issues in electric vehicle (EV) batteries. The device consists of a thick graphene cooler on top of the substrate and a platinum-based resistive temperature sensor with an embedded heater above the graphene. The graphene layer is synthesized by using chemical vapor deposition directly on the Ni layer above the Si substrate. The proposed thick graphene heat cooler does not use transfer technology, which involves many process steps and does not provide a high yield. This method also reduces the mechanical damage of the graphene and uses only one photomask. Using this structure, temperature detection and cooling are conducted simultaneously using one device. The temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) of a 1×1mm(2) temperature sensor on 1-im-thick graphene is 1.573×103 ppm/°C. The heat source cools down 7.3°C from 54.4°C to 47.1°C.
지방우세 딕슨기법을 이용한 슬관절 자기공명영상 지방신호분율과 골밀도 간의 상관관계 분석: 예비 연구

목적 MRI Dixon method (이하 DIXON) 기법을 이용하여 슬관절 지방우세 골조직의 지방신호분율(fat signal fraction; 이하 FF)을 구하고 골밀도(bone mineral density; 이하 BMD)와상관관계 분석을 시행하였다. 대상과 방법 본원 슬관절 DIXON 영상을 촬영한 환자들 중 일 년 이내의 dual energy X-ray absorptiometry가 있는 환자 93명을 후향적으로 분석하였다. DIXON 영상에서 원위부 대퇴골 골간단(femur metaphyseal; 이하 Fm)과 근위부 경골 골간단(tibia metaphyseal; 이하Tm)의 FF를 계산하였다. FF와 BMD 간 상관관계를 분석하였다. 또, 요추(lumbar spine; 이하 L), 대퇴경부(femoral neck; 이하 FN), 총대퇴골(femur total; 이하 FT)의 BMD 별로 나누고 FF에 대하여 Kruskal-Wallis H test를 시행하였다. 결과 전체 환자군에서 TmFF와 FN-BMD 사이에 유의미한 음의 상관관계를 보였다(r = -0.26, p < 0.05). 여성 환자에서는 TmFF가 FN-BMD, FT-BMD 및 L-BMD와 음의 상관관계를 보였다(r = -0.38, -0.28과 -0.27,p < 0.05). 남성 환자에서는 FmFF가 FN-BMD 및 FT-BMD와 음의상관관계를 보였다(r = -0.58과 r = -0.42, p < 0.05). 여성 환자들을 세 군으로 나누었을 때TmFF에 유의한 차이를 보였다(p < 0.05). 남성 환자들을 두 군으로 나누었을 때, FmFF이 군간에 유의미한 차이를 보였다(p < 0.05). 결론 슬관절 주변의 FF와 BMD는 음의 상관관계를 보였으며, DIXON을 이용한 FF 측정이BMD 스크리닝에 사용될 수 있는 가능성을 보였다.

<P>Toxicometabolomics of urinary biomarkers for human gastric cancer in a mouse model was investigated using (1)H-nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. A human gastric adenocarcinoma cell line (1 × 10(7) cells/ml) was grafted onto the skin of the back of intact male BALB/c-nu/nu mice. After the xenografted tumors developed, urine was collected and analyzed for endogenous metabolites. Global profiling combined with principal components analysis (PCA), partial least squares-discriminant analysis (PLS-DA), and orthogonal projections to latent squares-discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) showed distinct separation of clusters between control and tumor-bearing mice. Targeted profiling revealed significant changes in trimethylamine oxide (TMAO), 3-indoxylsulfate, hippurate, and citrate levels in mice carrying human gastric cancer cells compared to normal mice. The levels of TMAO (0.41-fold) and hippurate (0.26-fold) in tumor-bearing mice were significantly decreased, whereas the levels of 3-indoxylsulfate (3.39-fold), 2-oxoglutarate (2.32-fold), and citrate (1.9-fold) were significantly increased in urine samples of tumor-bearing mice. Data suggest that TMAO, hippurate, 3-indoxylsulfate, 2-oxoglutarate, and citrate may serve as useful urinary biomarkers for gastric tumorigenesis in a mouse model.</P>

Objective This was a prospective study to compare anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) using a synthetic bioactive glass-ceramic spacer (NOVOMAX®) and allograft spacer by evaluating the clinical and radiologic results. Methods In total, 51 patients were prospectively enrolled with cervical degenerative disc disease who requiring ACDF. Seventeen patients were enrolled who underwent ACDF with NOVOMAX® spacer (Group 2) study group, and 34 patients were enrolled who underwent ACDF with allograft spacer (Group 1). Both groups were fixed with a cervical locking plate. Plain X-ray and computed tomographic scans were performed 12 and 24 months later after surgery to evaluate the status of bone fusion. Clinical outcome was assessed using the neck disability index (NDI) and the Visual analogue scale (VAS). Results The 32 levels (100%) in Group 2 and 46 levels (97.8%) in Group 1 were confirmed as fused at 24 months. There was no significant difference between the fusion rates observed in both groups (p=0.82). In Group 1, allograft spacer related complications occurred in 34 cases (74%), whereas in 6 cases in Group 2 (19%). There was no significant difference in NDI, or VAS scores at 24 months follow-up. Conclusion ACDF using NOVOMAX® spacer well maintains the height of the intervertebral space of the operative segment as well as the decompression of neural structure and is recommended as surgical treatment of safe and efficient degenerative cervical disc disease which can expect stable radiological results.
High-level Expression of Human Immune Interferon in Escherichia coli by using tac Promoter

인간의 면역 인터페론을 코딩하는 유전자를 tac 프로모터와 rrnBT1T2 전사중지서열을 갖는 프라스미드 pKK223-3에 클론닝하여 체세포 유전자에 lacIq 제한차서열을 갖는 대장균 JM105와 체세포 유전자에 lacIq 제한자서열을 갖는 대장균 MM294와 대장균 YMC9에 각각 형질전환시켰다. 생성된 형질전환주를 immunoblotting과 생물학적 역가분석, 전기영동 그리고 전자현미경을 사용하여 확인했다. 면역 인터페론의 발현은 대장균 JM105에서 효율적으로 조절되었으며, 대장균 MM294와 대장균 YMC9에서는 IPTG의 처리없이도 생산됨을 발견하였다. 또한 면역 인터페론이 용해된 형태와 불용성 상태인 inclusion body로 생성됨을 알았다. 이때 생산성은 $9.7{\times}10^9IU/l$이며 면역 인터페론 단백질이 대장균의 전체 단백질중 약 30%에 해당함을 알았다. Their productions were efficiently regulated in E. coli JM105, but not in E. coii MM294, and E. coli YMC9 by using the IPTG.
