최대/최소 경계 스키마 추출 기법을 이용한 XML 문서의 DTD 추출

XML이 인터넷상의 데이터 교환의 표준으로 대두되면서 데이터 모델이나 플랫폼에 관계없이 데이터의 전송이 가능하게 되었다. 특히 데이터 중심의 XML 문서의 경우 전송시의 부하를 줄이기 위해 DTD없이 전송되는 경우가 일반적이다. 그러한 이유로 전송받은 XML 데이터의 저장 효율을 높이고 질의를 최적화하며 사용자에게 편의성을 제공해주기 위해서는 XML 데이터로부터 DTD 추출이 필수적으로 요구된다. 이 논문에서는 이러한 DTD를 추출하기 위해 반구조적 데이터의 스키마 추출 기법을 적용한다. 특히, 반구조적 데이터의 최소 경계 스키마를 추출하는데 데이터로그를 이용하는 기존의 방법보다 효율적인 방법인 시뮬레이션을 적용함으로써 보다 향상된 DTD 추출 기법을 제시한다. XML makes it possible for data to be exchanged regardless of the data model in which it is represented or the platform on which it is stored, serving as a standard for data exchange format on the internet. Especially, It is natural to send XML data without DTD on the internet when XML is data-centric XML. Therefore it is needed to extract DTD to store XML data efficiently, to optimize queries, and to help users browse XML data. In this paper, Techniques for upper/lower bound schema extraction are applied to extract DTD from XML data. Especially we propose an efficient technique for extracting DTD by using simulation which is better than datalog as a lower bound schema extraction method.

<P>Although N-glycosylation has been known to increase the stability of glycoproteins, it is difficult to assess the structural importance of glycans in the stabilization of glycoproteins. APA (Antheraea pernyi arylphorin) is an insect hexamerin that has two N-glycosylations at Asn196 and Asn344 respectively. The glycosylation of Asn344 is critical for the folding process; however, glycosylation of Asn196 is not. Interestingly, the N196-glycan (glycosylation of Asn196) remains in an immature form (Glc1Man9GlcNAc2). The mutation of Asn196 to glutamine does not change the ecdysone-binding activity relative to that of the wild-type. In the present study, we determined the crystal structure of APA, and all sugar moieties of the N196-glycan were clearly observed in the electron-density map. Although the sugar moieties of the glycan generally have high structural flexibility, most sugar moieties of the N196-glycan were well organized in the deep cleft of the subunit interface and mediated many inter- and intrasubunit hydrogen bonds. Analytical ultracentrifugation and GdmCl (guanidinium chloride) unfolding experiments revealed that the presence of the N196-glycan was important for stabilizing the hexameric state and overall stability of APA respectively. Our results could provide a structural basis for studying not only other glycoproteins that carry an immature N-glycan, but also the structural role of N-glycans that are located in the deep cleft of a protein.</P>

Crimes committed in a campus can threaten the safety of students, resulting in their quailed school life and troubled school activities. The victimized experience can also have adverse effects on victims for a long time. Hence, attention should be paid to the development of safe campus environments from crimes. This study aims at suggesting the underlying materials to develop physical environments in a campus in preventing criminal incidents and reducing the fear of crimes, while collecting and analyzing materials on the victimization status and fear of crimes for students. Majority of the crime victimization cases in a campus involves theft. The crime victimization happens the most in the classroom and library buildings in reality. However, the place with the fear of crimes is not consistent with the place with the crime victimization as students have the highest fear of crimes around pedestrian passages. The greatest fear of crimes is felt because of lacking lightings and lower illumination. The method of natural surveillance was suggested the most among designs to remove the fear of crimes. Based on these findings, this study suggested environmental designs for safety from crimes for each space in a campus.
Grading and Interpretation of White Matter Hyperintensities Using Statistical Maps

<P><B>Background and Purpose—</B></P><P>We aimed to generate rigorous graphical and statistical reference data based on volumetric measurements for assessing the relative severity of white matter hyperintensities (WMHs) in patients with stroke.</P><P><B>Methods—</B></P><P>We prospectively mapped WMHs from 2699 patients with first-ever ischemic stroke (mean age=66.8±13.0 years) enrolled consecutively from 11 nationwide stroke centers, from patient (fluid-attenuated-inversion-recovery) MRIs onto a standard brain template set. Using multivariable analyses, we assessed the impact of major (age/hypertension) and minor risk factors on WMH variability.</P><P><B>Results—</B></P><P>We have produced a large reference data library showing the location and quantity of WMHs as topographical frequency-volume maps. This easy-to-use graphical reference data set allows the quantitative estimation of the severity of WMH as a percentile rank score. For all patients (median age=69 years), multivariable analysis showed that age, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, and left ventricular hypertrophy were independently associated with increasing WMH (0–9.4%, median=0.6%, of the measured brain volume). For younger (≤69) hypertensives (n=819), age and left ventricular hypertrophy were positively associated with WMH. For older (≥70) hypertensives (n=944), age and cholesterol had positive relationships with WMH, whereas diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia, and atrial fibrillation had negative relationships with WMH. For younger nonhypertensives (n=578), age and diabetes mellitus were positively related to WMH. For older nonhypertensives (n=328), only age was positively associated with WMH.</P><P><B>Conclusions—</B></P><P>We have generated a novel graphical WMH grading (Kim statistical WMH scoring) system, correlated to risk factors and adjusted for age/hypertension. Further studies are required to confirm whether the combined data set allows grading of WMH burden in individual patients and a tailored patient-specific interpretation in ischemic stroke-related clinical practice.</P>
