<P>The purpose of this study was to investigate the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of the combined extract of Rhei rhizoma and Coptidis rhizoma (RC-mix) in experimental model of acute reflux esophagitis. The antioxidant activity was assessed by<I> in vitro</I> 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2′-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) assays. RC-mix was given at 100, 200, and 400 mg/kg body weight 2 h prior to induction of reflux esophagitis (RE). After 5 h, the effects of RC-mix treated rats were compared with those of normal and control rats. The representative flavonoid contents of RC-mix, such as sennoside A, epiberberine, coptisine, palmatine, and berberine, were detected using HPLC. The elevated esophageal mucosa damage was markedly ameliorated by RC-mix treatment in a dose-dependent manner. Furthermore, the administration of RC-mix reduced the increase of serum reactive oxygen species (ROS) and peroxynitrite (ONOO<SUP>−</SUP>). The improvement of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) levels were marked in the group given RC-mix. Moreover, the elevation of inflammatory mediators and cytokines by nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-<I>κ</I>B) activation in control rats decreased by RC-mix pretreatment. These results indicate that RC-mix treatment reduces the pathological states of esophagitis<I> via</I> regulating NF-<I>κ</I>B mediated inflammation related to oxidative stress. </P>
전자재료인 리드 프레임의 구조에 따른 이종재료간의 열응력해석과 접합부의 신뢰성

This paper discusses distribution of thermal stress, strain at near the joint and investigates the reliability of solder joints of electronic devices on a printed circuit board. As Electronic devices are composed of different materials, thermal stresses generate at near the interface, such as solder joints and interface between IC device and lead frame pad due to the differences of thermal expansion coefficients. As results of thermal stress-strain, micro crack often occurs thermal fatigue fracture at the interface of different materials, The initiation and propagation of micro crack depend on the environmental conditions, such as storage temperature and thermal cycling. Finally, this paper experimentally shows a way to supress micro cracks by using Fe-Ni alloy clad lead frame, and investigates crack and thermal fatigue fracture of TSOP(Thin small outline package) type on printed circuit board.
펜싱경기의 규칙변경이 전술에 미치는 영향 : 사브르 경기를 중심으로 Focus on fencing sabre

This study intents to understand how effective changing rules in saber is to tactics of fencers. Rules of sports have been changed and modified for various reasons in own history and it has regarded that these changes and modifications have occurred because of improvement of commercialization, advent of gigantic organizations, overheated vying, and intervention of political authorities. Because modernization and automation of equipment, and commercialization of sport mainly affected to sport, fencing rules also have affected certain effects to athletic tactics causing changes in traditions, and rules and regulations. Furthermore, in order to be remained in Olympic programs, rules and regulations of fencing should be changed and modified even faster. Studies which have done by FIE and overseas researchers report that the importance of simple attack skills is increasing while the importance of Parry & ripost, one of the most important defense skills, is decreasing in sabre. Concerning efforts of cutting down the competing time of foil and saber, they report that it is affirmative in rising understandings about fencing and reducing subjective judgements of referees. For this study, forms of tactics of internal fencers in domestic major competitions and forms of tactics of internationally high-ranked fencers are compared and the results are shown below. A. Simple attacks are given a great deal of weight. Due to shortened competing time, excessive arm movements are limited while the importance of simple attacks by initial actions of legs and final actions of arm. Then relatively, the usefulness of complex attacks has reduced. B. In defense, the importance of progressive counter attacks using competing time is raised than importance of defense using Parry & ripost. Increase of simple attacks and counter attacks cause increase of concentration and tension in matches while giving full attention for not making a little mistake in initial and final actions. C. Fast movement of legs is still used. Fleche has been forbidden and replaced by saut volant. By saut volant has been trained to make almost same speed as fleche, the proceeding time of saber shows not much difference. Rather, speed and rhythm of leg movements such as advance and retreat became more important, the importance of legs is highly increased than before. With results of mentioned above, addition of one-minute break rule and continuous cut down of competing time, which has been discussing in international fencing world, are expected to affect highly to fencing tactics. Compulsory use of transparent masks and introduction of wireless electronic scoring equipment also ask modification in operational ways of matches of fencers in saber.

Laser surface hardening is an effective technique used to improve the tribological properties and also to increase the service life of automobile components such as camshafts, crankshatfs, lorry brake drums and gears. High power CO₂ lasers and Nd:YAG lasers are employed for localized hardening of materials and hence are of potential application in the automobile industries. The heat is conducted rapidly into the bulk of the specimen causing self quenching to occur and the formation of martensitic structure. In this investigation, the microstructure features occurring in Nd:YAG laser hardening SM45C steel are discussed with the use of optical microscopic and scanning electron microscopic analysis. Moreover, This paper describes the optimism of the processing parameters for maximum hardened depth of SM45C steel specimens of 3mm thickness by using CW Nd:YAG laser. Travel speed was varied from 0.6m/min to 1.0m/min. The maximum hardness and case depth fo SM45C steel are 780Hv and 0.4mm by laser hardening.

오늘날 현대사회는 빠른 속도로 변화하고 있다. 컴퓨터가 등장하여 청소년들의 놀이문화와 가치관 등의 변화를 가져왔고, 우리가 살고 있는 지구환경도 과학의 발전속에서 파괴되어 우리인간이 살 수 없는 곳이 생겨나고 있다. 인간의 도덕성이 상실되어 가는 현대 사회속에서 육체적, 정신적으로 건강하면서 인간이 생활하는 사회도 건강하기 위해서는 스스로의 생활속에서 이루어지는 생활체육의 필요성이 대두된다고 보며, 보다 인간다운 삶을 위해서는 삶의 질 향상도 중요하지만 도덕과 질서가 살아있는 밝은 인간사회를 추구하는데 생활체육의 필요성을 미흡 하지만 본 논문에서 살펴 보았다.
