The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes of hardness and microstructure of Dongchimi cooked with various source of water(distilled water, purified water, Cho Jung Carbonated Natureal water). This study was conducted to observe the change of pH, total acidity, salt content, turbidity, texture and microstructure. Dongchimi cooked with source of water of water was fermented at 10℃ for 46 days. The changes of pH on Dongchimi cooked with various source of water decreased in all samples during fermentation period, and then showed a slowly decrease after 12 days of fermentation. The total acidity of Dongchimi cooked with Cho Jung Carbonated Natural water was arrived slowly at best tasting condition 0.3~0.4 point compared with other conditions. So Dongchimi cooked with Cho Jung Carbonated Natural water was continued to the best tasting condition for end of fermentation. At early stage of fermentation, the changes of turbidity of Dongchimi used Cho Jung Carbonated Natural water showed highly as compared with other test condition for 12th days of fermentation. The maximum cutting force of chinese radish of Dongchimi showed the highest value among all at the 25th day of ripening and then decreased gradually. The maximum cutting force of chinese radish of Dongchimi used Cho Jung Carbonated Natural water was the highest compared with other conditions at 25th day of fermentation. The calcium content of Dongchimi juice used Cho Jung Carbonated Natural water was observed high at the early stage of fermentation and showed the highest value at 25th day of ripening. The calcium content of chinese radish and Dongchimi juice of Dongchimi cooked with water purifier was lower than that of Dongchimi cooked with Cho Jung Carbonated Natural water, and was higher than that of Dongchimi cooked with Distilled water at the early stage of fermentation. The magnesium content in all samples increased gradually from the early stage of fermentation. The microstructure showed disintegration appearance of middle lamella and cell wall during fermentation period.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the level and effect of stress on physical and mental health. Based on that result, we offer the basic research to lessen students' stress and make a program to promote health condition effectively. Subjects were 526 university students. (male: 232(44.1%) female: 294(55.9%). composed of 7 majors: human studies&social science, management, Science&technology, education. law, medicine, entertainment. freshman 108(20.5%), sophomore 140(26.6%) junior 148(28.1%), senior 130(24.7%)) Subjects were filled with 127 questionnaires. T test and ANOVA were used to evaluate each stress levels. The .05 level of significance was the critical for this research. Also used the correlation to know the relation between stress levels and effects. The result of the study were as follows: 1. According to gender, male students got 2.37, female students got 2.46 on the stress level(p=.05). And also the belonging items showed female students got higher stresses than male students. 2. According to grade, the average score of stress level was 2.42. sophomores got the highest stress and freshmen got the lowest stress level. But that was not meaningful difference. freshman and sophomore got higher stress on studying. and except the freshman, all grades got severe stress on employment. 3. According to major, there were differences on university life and surroundings. On university life, the students who majored management got highest stress and the students who majored Education got the least stress. And on surroundings, the students who majored Law got highest stress. 4. According to gender, female students suffered from more stress effects than male students.(male 2.3725 female 2.4657 t:-1.968 p:.050) 5. According to grade, the average score of stress was 2.2285. sophomore got 2.3042 and junior got 2.2148 on stress effects. 6. According to major, The students who major in law got more stress effects caused by family than any other students. The students who major in entertainment and gymnastics got more stress effects than any other students in surroundings. 7. There were significant correlations between the stress level and effects(r.=847, p=.000).

Recently single port access laparoscopic surgery has been reported since it has lower incisional morbidity and better cosmetic outcome compared to conventional laparoscopic surgery. We performed transumbilical single port access laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy, myomectomy and appendectomy at the same time in one patient using a specially designed single three-channel port that left virtually no scar. We used an Alexis(R) wound retractor (Applied Medical, CA, USA) and a surgical glove as the single three-channel port. The single port access laparoscopic gynecologic operation can be used feasibly in variable gynecologic condition without complication.

목적: The aim of this study was to identify the effective regimen of gonadotropin combined with clomiphene citrate (CC) or letrozole in ovulation induction for intrauterine insemination (IUI). A retrospective comparative study in University hospital was performed. A total of 196 cycles were included in this study. The patients were divided into two groups, CC group (n=113) or letrozole group (n=83). Clomiphene citrate 100mg/day was given on days 3-7 menstrual cycles. Letrozole 5 mg/day was given in the same manner as CC. Each group was further divided based on two different regimen of gonadotropin (human menopausal gonadotropins (hMG, IVF-M®), 150 IU administered on days 6 and 8 (two alternate day regimen) or 150 IU administered on days 5, 7 and 9 (three alternate day regimen). There were no significant differences in clinical characteristics including age, duration of infertility and basal serum FSH levels. In both CC and letrozole groups, diameter of leading follicle on the hCG day (19.7 ± 2.2 vs. 20.1 ± 2.6, p=0.318; 20.8 ±2.3 vs. 20.1±2.4, p=0.194, respectively), clinical pregnancy rates (22.7% vs 15.4%, p= 0.293; 13.3% vs. 13.2%, p= 1.000, respectively) were not significantly different regardless of regimen of gonadotropin. In CC group, endometrial thickness on the hCG day was significantly thicker in patients with three alternate day regimen (8.8± 2.2 vs. 9.8 ± 1.9, p= 0.017). In both groups, although the number of follicles ≥ 16 or 18 mm was not different, the number of follicles ≥11mm and <16mm (1.4±1.3 vs. 2.2±1.9, p=0.030; 1.0±1.2 vs. 1.5±1.4, p=0.077, respectively) was greater in the three alternate day regimen compared to the two alternate day regimen. The two alternate day regimen of gonadotropins combined with CC or letrozole was as effective as the three alternate day regimen in ovulation induction for IUI. The three alternate day regimen seemed to result in more medium sized follicles without difference in the number of large follicles.

<P>DJ-1 has been reported as a gene linked to early onset familial Parkinson's disease, and is functionally involved in transcriptional regulation and oxidative stress-induced cell death. To understand the role of DJ-1 in cellular stress, this study investigated DJ-1's effect on stress-activated protein kinase signaling and H<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB>-induced activation of apoptosis signal-regulating kinase 1 (ASK1). According to the results, the overexpression of DJ-1 inhibited H<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB>-induced activation of ASK1 as well as the activation of downstream kinases in the p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling cascade. The results of both in vivo binding and kinase studies have revealed that ASK1 is the direct target of DJ-1, whereas it has shown no effect on either MKK3 or p38. DJ-1 blocked both the homo-oligomerization of ASK1 and inhibited ASK1 activity. Taken together, our data strongly suggest that DJ-1, by directly inhibiting ASK1, may act as a negative regulator in ASK1 signaling cascades. J. Cell.
