Colon cancer is one of the most lethal and common malignancies worldwide. STK899704, a novel synthetic agent, has been reported to exhibit anticancer effects towards numerous cancer cells. However, the effect of STK899704 on the biological properties of colon cancer, including cancer cell migration and cancer stem cells (CSCs), remains unknown. Here, we examined the inhibitory effect of STK899704 on cell migration and CSC stemness. In the wound healing assay, STK899704 significantly inhibited the motility of colon cancer cells. Furthermore, STK899704 downregulated the mRNA expression levels of the cell migration mediator focal adhesion kinase (FAK). STK899704 also suppressed mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase and extracellular signal-regulated kinase, which are downstream signaling molecules of FAK. Additionally, STK899704 inhibited stemness gene expression and sphere formation in colon cancer stem cells. These results suggest that STK899704 can be used to treat human colon cancer. Gastric volvulus is an uncommon condition which is difficult to diagnose and treat. It designates abnormal rotation of the stomach along its longitudinal (organoaxial) or transverse (mesenteroaxial) axis. When the rotation exceeds 180˚, gastric obstruction or strangulation may occur. The classical presentation of acute gastric volvulus is the triad of severe epigastric pain, vomiting followed by retching without the ability to vomit, and difficulty or inability to pass a nasogastric tube. Delay in diagnosis and treatment of gastric volvulus can lead to fatal complications such as gastric ischemia, perforation, and hemorrhage. Gastric volvulus is a true emergency which should be treated immediately either surgically or by upper endoscopy. We report a case of an acute incarcerated gastric volvulus due to a left-sided diaphragmatic hernia in an adult male patient, which was treated successfully by operation. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationships between life style, menstrual attitude and premen-strual syndrome in nursing students. Methods: the study participants were 246 nursing students of a university in Gyeunggi province. Data werecollected by a self-administered questionnaire from may to june, 2012. Collected data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 20.0 program with descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, t-test, one-way ANOVA and Scheffe test. Results: Students who had undesirable alcohol habits (r=.15,p=.020) and negative menstrual attitude (r=.17, p=.009) experienced more a severe premenstrual syndrome (PMS). Students with dysmenorrheal had more severe PMS (F=12.41, p<.001) and a negative menstrual attitude (F=6.18 ,p<.001). Conclusion: These finding suggest that PMS would be alleviated by nursing interventions to improve alcohol habits and decrease negative menstrual attitudes, and nursing interventions for dysmenorrheal would be helpful in PMS management in nursing students. Further studies on the development of nursing interventions related to these factors are needed for PMS management.
Maximum Torque Control of IM Drive using AIPI Controller

The maximum output torque developed by the machine is dependent on the allowable current rating and maximum voltage that the inverter can supply to the machine. Therefore, to use the inverter capacity fully, it is desirable to use the control scheme considering the voltage and current limit condition, which can yield the maximum torque per ampere over the entire speed range. This controller is controlled speed and current using artificial PI (AIPI) controller and estimation of speed using ANN. Also, this paper is proposed maximum torque control of induction motor using slip angular speed and current condition at widely speed range. The performance of the proposed induction motor drive with maximum torque control using AIPI controller is verified by analysis results at dynamic operation conditions.

This paper proposes the multi-level (ML) PO MPPT control of the photovoltaic (PV) system considering shadow influence. The output characteristics of the solar cell are a nonlinear and affected by a temperature, the solar radiation and shadow influence. Particularly, PV module integrated converter (MIC) system is very sensitive to the shadow influence because the capacity is very small. In order to increase an output and efficiency of the solar power generation, the maximum power point (MPP) control are necessary. Conventional constant voltage (CV) perturbation and observation (PO) and incremental conductance(IC) are the method finding MPP by the continued self-excitation vibration. The conventional MPPT control is unable to be performed when output is rapidly changing by shadow influence. To solve this problem, the new control algorithm of the MLPO in which the step value changes by output change is presented. The proposed algorithm compares the output error of the conventional control algorithm with the solar radiation, a temperature and shadow influence. In addition, the validity of this algorithm is proved through the response characteristics of the output error.
Tumescent local anesthetic technique for inguinal hernia repairs

Purpose: We evaluated the adequacy and feasibility of a tumescent solution containing lidocaine and bupivacaine for inguinal hernia repairs. Methods: The medical records of 146 consecutive inguinal hernia patients with 157 hernia repairs using the tumescent local anesthesia technique performed by a single surgeon between September 2009 and December 2013 were retrospectively reviewed. Results: The mean operation time (±standard deviation) and hospital stay were 64.5 ± 17.6 minutes and 2.7 ±1 .5 days. The postoperative complication rate was 17.8%. There were four cases of recurrences (2.5%) at a mean follow-up of 24 ± 14 months. Conclusion: Our results suggest that local anesthesia with the tumescent technique is an effective and safe modality for inguinal hernia repairs.
Synthesis of $^{99m} Tc$-tricarbonyl Precursors for Labeling of Bioactive Molecules

To radiolabel bioactive molecules, we synthesized $^{99m}$Tc-tricarbonyl precursor, [$^{99m}$Tc(CO)$_3$($H_2O$)$_3$]$^{+}$ with a low oxidation state ( I ). The [$^{99m}$Tc(CO)$_3$($H_2O$)$_3$]$^{+}$ was prepared by low pressure carbonylation (1 atm of CO) of [$^{99m}$Tc $O_4$)]$^{[-10]}$ in the presence of NaB $H_4$ resulting in higher than 98% of labeling yield and stability up to 8 hrs. We evaluated the characteristics of $^{99m}$Tc- tricarbonyl labeled bioactive molecules by carrying out in vitro and in vitro study. Prepared [$^{99m}$Tc(CO)$_3$($H_2O$)$_3$]$^{+}$ was then reacted with some ligands of significance in modem diagnostic nuclear medicine and some amino acids. Labeling yields were checked by HPLC and found to be usually high, excluding $^{99m}$Tc-tricarbonyl-MDP, -EDTMP and -mIBG. And the biodistribution properties of $^{99m}$Tc-tricarbonyl complexes applied in rabbit showed different appearance comparing with that of the $^{99m}$Tc-labeling by conventional means. From these results, we conclude that [$^{99m}$Tc(CO)$_3$($H_2O$)$_3$]$^{+}$ is a potential precursor for development of radiopharmaceuticals, especially for labeling of biomolecules.

At the Jangheung multipurpose dam, which is on the Tamjin River, a trapping and trucking operation was established to maintain continuous upstream migration of fish,. To facilitate fish gathering, installation of an effective fishing trap was required. In this study, we evaluated the fish trap, established at the Jangheung dam, using PIT (Passive Integrated Transponder) telemetry. A total of 254 individuals from 15 species were monitored. Among these tagged species, 36 individuals from 6 species (Carassius auratus, C. cuvieri, Zacco temminckii, Z. platypus, Pungtungia herzi, and Pseudobagrus koreanus) were detected; a 14.2% detection rate. C. auratus recorded the highest detection rate of 44.2% while P. herzi was 14.3%. Z. temminckii and Z. platypus showed relatively low detection, 5% and 7.7% respectively. Some of individuals from C. auratus and Z. platypus did not pass through the antenna at the first attempt but were continuously detected on multiple days. There were no statistical differences in body size (total length, standard length and body weight) of individuals that did or did not swim into the trap (Mann-Whitney U test, p>0.05). Fish mainly swam into the trap during outflow of water from the dam (Mann-Whitney U test, p<0.001) and showed a higher detection frequency in daytime than nighttime (Mann-Whitney U test, p<0.001). Thus, for fish movement into the trap, external factors such as outflow from dam and time of day have important roles. Based on detection rate, not all fishes showed upstream migration but represented selective migration. Consequently, the establishment of flexible outflow strategies that take into consideration ecological characteristics of fishes should required for improving the efficiency of fishway.
