무수푸탈산의 에스테르화 반응에 관한 반응속도론 및 열역학적 크기

The reaction condition of n-butyl alcohol and phthalic anhydride were determined at reaction temperatures from 60℃ to 175℃. With an excess of alcohol, the conversion of MBP was proportional to the concentration of monoester up to about 62%. Chemical kinetics study for the esterification of monoester was carried out to find the reaction mechanism without the catalyst. Experimental results gave a rate equation which was second order with respect to the manoester and first order with respect to the alcohol. Activation energy value of about 17Kcal/mole was obtained by the Arrhenius plot. By using infrared spectrophotometer, the most characteristic feature in the spectra of monoester and diester was found. Thermodynamic investigations have been carried out for predicting the reaction state. Apparant equilibrium constant were obtained in consideration of that mole fraction in the presence of ice water to stop the reaction. Thermodynamic parameter, ΔH^≠, ΔG^≠ and ΔS^≠ for the formation of diester were calculated from experimental data.
경연 대회를 통한 초ㆍ중고생의 창의력 신장 효과에 관한 연구

미래 사회를 대비하기 위한 개인의 개성을 존중과 창의적인 능력을 지닌 인간을 양성을 목적으로 충청남도 지역의 초 ㆍ 중고등학생들을 대상으로 한 창의력 경연대회가 공주대학교 과학교육연구소에서 개최되었다. 충청남도 초 ㆍ중 ㆍ 고등학생들을 대상으로 실시한 창의력 경연대회는 창조적 아이디어를 내어 스스로 문제를 해결해 나갈 수 있는 교육 프로그램을 제공하는 좋은 기회였음이 확인되었으나, 일부의 팀에서만 참신하고 재미있는 아이디어들이 제안되었다. 여학생의 참가자 수가 상당히 증가하였으며, 대체적으로 입상권의 학생들의 상당 부분이 여학생이라는 것이 특이할만하다. 학년이 올라감에 따라서 창의적인 아이디어를 내는 양이나 질에 있어서 뒤떨어지는 것으로 분석되었으며, 토론 학습의 적응력이 미흡하고 발표력 및 청취력에 있어서도 떨어지는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 중 ㆍ고등학교의 학교교육에서도 학생들에게 프로젝트형 탐구학습 프로그램의 적용은 물론 토론식 수습을 통한 학생들의 사고의 전환의 기회를 제공해야 할 것으로 사료된다. The creativity competition was held to foster the creativity of elementary and secondary school students in the Institute of Science Education, Kongju national University. It was found that the creativity competition effected on the improvement of inventing creative ideas and problem solving activities. But, only some competitors participated in semifinal and final contests, presented original and interesting ideas. More female students participated in competition than last year. More female participants were awarded a prize than males. Totally, participants were defective in discussion and communication, and presentation and listening ideas. Increasing grades correlated inversely with creativity and originality. There is need of inquiry project teaming programs and presenting opportunities of conversion of thinking by discussing instructions in school

PDLC 필름을 제작하는 데는 여러 방법들이 있으나 그중 하나로서 에멀젼 기술에 기반을 둔 NCAP필름 제 조방법이 있다. 이러한 에멀젼 기술은 물에 부분적으로 용해될 수 있는 PVA, PVP와 같은 고분자로 NCAP를 제조할 수 있고, 또한 안정제 없이도 안정한 액정 에멀젼을 형성할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 물에 녹는 것과 물에 녹지 않는 부분을 가지고 있는 분자로 구성된 공중합체에 대하여 에멀젼의 안정성과 계면장력, 표면장력이 공중합체의 구성, 농 도, 소수성 체인 등에 의존한다는 것도 연구하였다. Acrylamide-styrene(AA-ST)계 공중합체는 같은 농도조건에서 사용 한 다른 공중합체보다 낮은 계면장력을 나타낸다. 낮은 계면장력 때문에 AA-ST 공중합체는 액정분자들과 좋은 친화 성을 갖는다. 또한 액정표면에 쉽게 흡수되는 분자들이 액정 에멀젼 시스템을 더 안정화하다는 것과 형태학적 분석을 통한 액정의 안정성도 논의하였다. There are several methods to fabricate Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal(PDLC) films. One of them, so-called Nematic Curvilinear Aligned Phase(NCAP) film, is based on emulsion technology. To produce NCAP systems various water soluble polymers, such as partially hydrolyzed polyvinylalcohol(PVA) and polyvinyl pyrrolidone(PVP), which can form stable emulsion of liquid crystal(LC) without any stabilizers were used. In this work, we studied the dependence of emulsion stability on nature and composition of copolymers composed of water-soluble and water-insoluble moiety. We found that interfacial surface tension depends on the composition of comonomer, the copolymer concentration in the water, and the nature of hydrophobic chain. The Acrylamide -styrene(AA-ST) copolymer showed the lowest interfacial surface tension among the tested copolymers at the same concentration. Since the interfacial surface tension decreases with increasing the compatibility of copolymer with LC phase the AA-ST copolymer has the best compatibility with LC molecules. It is believed that molecules adsorbing easily on the surface of LC droplets allows the LC emulsion system to be more stable.

N/A Clinical observation was performed of 229 cases of acute cholecystitis who admitted to Department of Internal Medicine Korea University Hospital for 5 years from Jan. 1980 to Dec. 1984. The following results were obtained: 1) The total number of cases of acute cholecystitis was 229 which was 0.46% of total admission cases during the same period. 2) The age incidence was the highest in 6th decade. The ratio of male and female was 1: 1.3. 3) On admission the most common clinical symptom was pain in the R.U.Q. and epigastrium(75.5%), the remainders were fever(40.2%), chill(36.2%), indigestion (34.1%), and nausea with vomiting(28.0%) in order of frequency. 4) The most common physical finding was tenderness on the R.U.Q ((81. 2%), and the remainders were tenderness on the epigastrium(33. 6%), jaundice(27.l%), and fever with palpable liver(23.6%) in order of frequency. 5) Laboratory examination showed leukocytosis(45.4%), elevated E.S.R. (91.0%), elevated alkaline phosphatase(55.9%), and elevated serum total bilirubin(36.9%). 6) On the radiological examinations the gallstones were presented in 9.3% by plain abdomen. On the sonographic examination of abdomen gallbladder stones were noted in 54.2% common bile duct stone in 15.O%, and intrahepatic duct stone in 6.0% 7) The 46.3% percent were improved by the medical conservative treatment. The 49.8% percent were improved by the surgical treatment and the 1.7percent was expired. 8) The complications of acute cholecystitis were 3. 1 percent.
Helicobacter pylori의 위상피세포 유착에 관한 전자현미경적 고찰

Background : The purpose of this study was to investigate the ultrastructural relation of H. pylori and gastric epithelial cells in their adhesion. Methods : Endoscopic biopsy of gastric antrum and body was performed from 15 patients (9 men, 6 women) with chronic gastritis. These specimens were processed and observed by transmission electron microscope (Hitachi H-600). Results : On the basis of morphological appearances, the different types of adhesion of the organism with the epithelial cells were categorized as filamentous connection, adhesion pedestals, membrane fusion. Coccoid and intermediate forms were associated with filamentous connection whereas bacillary forms were associated with adhesion pedestals and membrane fusion. Conclusion : Various types of adhesion were associated with H. pylori and gastric epithelium. Further studies are needed to investigate biophysiologic influence to epithelial cells by ultrastructural relationship.(Korean J Med 60:16-21, 2001)

New one dimensional organic semiconductors of monomeric and polymeric Phthalocyaninatoiron (Ⅱ) and 2,3- Naphtalocyaninatoiron (Ⅱ) compound which is linked by axial ligands to form stacked arrangements were systematically synthesized and characterized ( Fig. 1 ). For all the systems, the variable coordination behaviors of iron-systems with aromatic and aliphatic isocyanides as axial ligands were researched, and spectral, structual and charge transport properties of the bridged compounds are discussed. The electroconducting behaviors of the polymeric metal complexes with bidentate isocyanobridging ligands ( L= 1,4=din, 9,10-dia, 1,2-die, 1.6-dihx, 1.12-didod, 1,12-dioxdod and 1,4-dichx ) as well as monomeric metal complexes with monodentat isocyanobridging ligands ( L= α-in, α-ia and dodNC ) were studied by using spectroscopic methods. The complexes show electrical conductivities up to 10<sup>-2</sup> S/cm without additional external doping. The selected polymeric compounds, (μ-1,4-diisocyanonaphthalene)- and (μ-9,10-diisocyanoanthracene) Phthalocyaninatoiron (Ⅱ) were doped with iodine and their doping was studied. This two materials are precursors for a new class of electrically conductive systems which can be doped on the bridging ligands, as reported for the first time here. The infrared and UV-Vis spectra of these doped compounds also reveal the formation of phthalocyanine π-radical cations species and iodine counter ions. The synthetic methods, structual characters, electrical conductivities and applications of one dimensional organic semiconductors prepared with Phthalocyaninatoiron (Ⅱ) and 2,3- Naphtalocyaninatoiron (Ⅱ) complexes will be reported.

Formaldehyde is a colorless irritating gas of pungent odor, which is used as a disinfectant, antiseptic, deodorant, tissue fixative and embalming fluid, It is used in the formation of resins, alcohols and acids, and in permanent press processes in the textile industry. If formaldehyde is swallowed, severe abdominal pain and vomiting is immediately noted. Corrosive gastritis can follow with diffuse ulceration, fibrosis and contracture of the stomach, resembling linitis plastica, which may be severe enough to require gastrectomy. We report a case of cicatricial contracted stomach due to the ingestion of formalin.
