이 연구의 목적은 제대군인에 대한 효율적인 전직지원을 위해서 현행 전직지원 프로세스에 대한 개선 안과 이에 따른 국방부, 국가보훈처 등 제대군인 전직지원관련 기관 간의 역할분담 및 연계방안에 대해서 제안하는 것이다. 연구는 크게 세 가지 과정을 거쳤다. 첫째, 국내 군 전직지원 실태를 분석하여 문제점과 시사점을 도출하였다. 둘째, 이러한 문제점과 시사점, 군 전직지원 선행연구를 종합하여 효율적인 군 전직지원 프로세스 안을 제시하였다. 셋째, 구축한 군 전직지원 프로세스 안에 따라 주요 군 전직지원 관련 기관인 국방부, 국가보훈처의 역할 분담 안을 제안하였다. This study aims to suggest an improvement plan for the support process of effective occupation change for discharged soldiers and then role assignments among related institutions for supporting discharged soldiers such as Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, Ministry of Labor and the cooperation plan among the institutions. The study was made in three steps. First, after analyzing currents support facts and status for discharged soldiers, it induced its problems and implications. Second, integrating the findings of previous studies related to support plan on occupation changes for the discharged soldiers, Problems and implications mentioned above, it constructed effective occupation change process for discharged soldiers. Then, according to the established process, it suggested role assignments such as Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, Ministry of Labor.

정신과에 대한 의대생들의 태도를 조사하기 위해서 정신과 임상실습을 마친 S대학교 의과대학 본과 4학년 학생들 중에서 본 연구의 설문조사에 자원응답한 70명의 자료를 분석하였다. 의대생들의 56%는 정신과가 비과학적이고 애매한 학문이라는 견해를 부정하였다. 또한 90%는 환자의 감정적 문제를 다룰 필요가 있다고 보았다. 타과의사들과 수입을 비교할 때 반수정도가 보통이라고 하였다. 83%의 의대생들은 정신과에 매력을 느끼고, 69%는 지적 성취를 할 수 있다고 보았다. 그러나, 정신과 의사의 역할과 임상심리학자나 사회사업가의 역할을 구분하는데 혼동이 있었다. 결과는 대부분의 의대생들이 정신과 의사와 직업으로서의 정신과에 대해 긍적적인 태도를 가진 것으로 나타났다. The attitudes of medical students towards psychiatry are important as they influence recruitment to psychiatry and clinical practice. In order to evaluate the attitudes of medical students towards psychiatry, the authors administered a questionnaire to 70 senior student volunteers of College of Medicine, Seoul National University. The results are summarized as follows; Psychiatrists are .not regarded by most medical students as unclear thinkers. Medical students don't think that psychiatrists abuse patients' legal rights, treat only relatively healthy patients. Most medical students affirm the importance of dealing with their patients' emotional problems. But, the roles of psychiatrists are confused with those of psychologists and social workers. Psychiatry, as a vocation, is not regarded by most medical students as unscientific, imprecise, ineffective and low in status. Most medical students don't agree that stigmatization or pressure to choose another field are common. This study showed that most senior medical students are favorable about psychiatrists and psychiatry.

In our previous study, we manufactured a composite poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) bone cement by the impregnation of 3 wt.% of the surface-modified ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) powder using methyl methacrylate (MMA)/xylene solution into conventional PMMA bone cement. However, the xylene which remains in the composite hybrid PMMA bone cement could induce chemical cellular necrosis due to its toxicity. In this study, various ratios of methyl methacrylate (MMA) (mL)/PMMA (g) solutions were used for the surface modification of UHMWPE powder to overcome xylene toxicity. The surface modification of UHMWPE powder had two steps; (1) UHMWPE powder was surface-treated by MMA/PMMA solution and (2) the surfacetreated UHMWPE powder was surface-precoated with polymerized PMMA from MMA monomer (polyMMA). The aims of the present study were to observe the surfaces of the surface-modified UHMWPE powder with MMA/ PMMA solution using a scanning electron microscope (SEM), to analyze the changes in the chemical composition of the surface-modified UHMWPE powder using a Fourier transform infrared-attenuated total reflectance (FTIRATR), to measure the tensile strengths for mechanical properties and the curing temperatures for thermal properties of the composite PMMA bone cements which were manufactured by the impregnation of 3 wt.% of the surfacemodified UHMWPE powder into conventional PMMA bone cement, and to sketch a possible interfacial bonding mechanism between the surface-treated UHMWPE powder and polyMMA. It was confirmed that the tensile strengths of the composite PMMA bone cements were similar to that (44.5 MPa) of conventional PMMA bone cement and a litter higher than that (33.8 MPa) of 3 wt.% of intact UHMWPE powder impregnated PMMA bone cement. Also, it was found that 3 wt.% of the surface-modified UHMWPE powder with the ratio of 40 (mL) to 0.5 (g) of MMA to PMMA impregnated PMMA bone cement revealed the maximum tensile strength. The curing temperatures of the composite PMMA bone cements decreased from 103oC to 88~95oC. From the above results, we confirmed that the surface-modified UHMWPE powder can use as reinforcing agent to improve the mechanical and thermal properties of conventional PMMA bone cement.
S-534 A case of acute pyelonephritis due to Finegoldia magna

Background:?Finegoldia magna is one of the normal human flora which colonizes skin and mucous membranes. It has been usually reported in bone and joint infection. This is the first report of acute pyelonephritis (APN) due to Finegoldia magna in Korea.?Case:?A 74-year-old diabetic woman had received both total knee replacement arthroplasty 15 years ago. She was admitted to the hospital because of fever, dysuria and flank pain, which had been attributed to sepsis by APN. Her vital signs were as follows: blood pressure 74/45 mmHg; heart rate 102 beats/min; respiratory rate 22 breaths/min; body temperature 38.9℃. The following findings were observed on admission: white blood cell count 7,780/μL; hemoglobin 10.9 g/dL; platelet count 222,000/μL; blood urea nitrogen 51.6 mg/dL; creatinine 2.06 mg/dL; C-reactive protein 4.91 mg/dL. Urinalysis showed bacteriuria with many WBC casts. Abdomen pelvis computed tomography showed that bilateral hydronephrosis and infiltration at the paracolic gutter area, whitch suggested urinary tract infection (Fig. 1). Finegoldia magna was isolated in blood culture (Fig. 2). She became asymptomatic and was successfully treated with antibiotics.?Conclusions: This is the first report of APN and septic shock due to Finegoldia magna in Korea. Even though it was uncertain to demonstrate the association between Finegoldia magna infection and knee prostheses (Fig. 3), the importance of identifying a pathogen and searching for the source of infection considering all of the possibilities should not be dismissed.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the survival and success rates of Korean Osstem implants US II Plus, GS II following loading period. Materials and Methods: Dental records were obtained in total 201 patients who were treated with Korean Osstem implants US II Plus, GS II on both maxillary and mandibular anterior and posterior areas in six different clinics for 2 years from January 2007 to December 2008. Total 430 implants were evaluated clinically and radiographically using predefined success criteria prospectively and following results were obtained. Result: US II Plus, GS II implants showed high survival rates of more than 99% and high success rates more than 90% independent of loading period. As a result of cross analysis to evaluate clinical significance between implant loading period and success rate, the P-value of US II Plus was 0.10 (P>0.05), and the P-value of GS II was 0.17 (P>0.05), which showed no statistical significance. Bone quality, smoking, and edentulous state are factors that can affect the survival and success rates following differently loaded implants, but did not significantly affect in this study. Conclusion: These results suggest that selection of loading period of Korean Osstem implants US II Plus, GS II would be done carefully considering implant install area, the quality alveolar bone, the state of edentulous ridge and experience of operator, though they showed clinically good results on both maxillary and mandibular anterior and posterior areas.

Rothia muciliaginosa (R. mucilaginosa) is a facultative, Gram-positive coccus that is considered to be part of the normal flora of the mouth and respiratory tract. There are sporadic reports of the organism causing endocarditis in patients with heart valve abnormalities, as well as meningitis, septicemia, and pneumonia associated with intravenous drug abuse. However, it is an unusual pathogen in cases of peritoneal dialysis (PD)-associated peritonitis. Although R. mucilaginosa is generally susceptible to penicillin, ampicillin, cefotaxime, imipenem, rifampicin, and glycopeptides, there are no guidelines for the treatment of PD-associated peritonitis. Herein, we report a case of PD-associated peritonitis due to R. mucilaginosa that was resolved with intraperitoneal antibiotic treatment.
Design and Analysis of Sub-10 nm Junctionless Fin-Shaped Field-Effect Transistors

We design and analyze the n-channel junctionless fin-shaped field-effect transistor (JL FinFET) with 10-nm gate length and compare its performances with those of the conventional bulktype fin-shaped FET (conventional bulk FinFET). A three-dimensional (3-D) device simulations were performed to optimize the device design parameters including the width (Wfin) and height (Hfin) of the fin as well as the channel doping concentration (Nch). Based on the design optimization, the two devices were compared in terms of direct-current (DC) and radio-frequency (RF) characteristics. The results reveal that the JL FinFET has better subthreshold swing, and more effectively suppresses short-channel effects (SCEs) than the conventional bulk FinFET.
