건강한 양어관리를 위한 Weissella confusa DD_A7 균주의 유익효과

In the last few decades, the attempts to sustain an environmental friendly aquaculture have encouraged the usage of beneficial bacteria, including probiotics, as feed enrichment or added in the formulation of commercial diets. Probiotics constitute a different approach to prevent diseases in fish and shows numerous of beneficial impacts, on the development, survival, immunological responses, and on the enhancement of general well-being of the host. The dietary supplementation of Weissella confusa (DD_A7) has not been evaluated in zebrafish model, thus, the objective of the study was to evaluate its effect on the growth, and innate immune responses. In this study, the toxic effect of the ESBL positive E. coli has been proved in-vivo (6 dpf zebrafish larva model). The morphological changes, increase in the inflammatory factors, and H2DFFDA staining validate the toxic effect of the pathogens, which was further shown a significant reduction upon treatment with DD_A7 in-vitro (RAW 264.7 cell line). The so far obtained results clearly demonstrated the beneficial effects of DD_A7 on the zebrafish; upon feeding of probiotic to the fish, the immune system was observed to be significantly modulated (p < 0.01, p < 0.001), and the observed protective characteristic of the probiotic has shown some correlation with reduction of host inflammation response. Moreover, the fish has found to be resistance towards the stress compared to the control after treatment. This brings the interest for the usage of DD_A7 as an alternative strategy for the management of a healthy fish Farming and the prevention of culture environment from the infection.
