이 논문에서는 사각장애인이 웹 상의 정보에 접근하고자 할 때 장애가 되는 요소를 분석하여 별다른 보조 하드웨어나 소프트웨어에 의존하지 않고 텍스트 정보를 적응적으로 검색하는데 요구되는 시스템의 틀을 개발하고자 한다. 특히, 웹 상에서 제공되는 사전을 검색하고자 할 때 발생하는 문제점을 해소하여 음성 안내, 화면의 확대 축소, 화면 색 조합 제공, 음성인식, 단축키 서비스 등을 적응적으로 제공함으로써 사각장애인들의 웹 서비스 접근성을 향상시키고자 한다. 프로토타이핑 결과를 제시한다.

Vehicle pull is one of the most important problem at the initial stage of vehicle development. It is generally known that the vehicle pull is a phenomenon occurred by the residual force and moment. To minimized vehicle pull in this paper introduces the analysis method of vehicle pull simulation which makes it possible to consider matching factors between a vehicle and tires using design of experiments. Therefore, it has analyzed the correlation between factors using ADAMS/CAR S/W including PAC2002 Tire model.

Since the software program has been developed rapidly, there have been born a lot of computer aided programs in field of industrial complex for design validation such as CAD, CAE, CAM, DMU, Virtual Manufacturing and so on.. This paper presents case studies of verifying design quality for automotive interior parts by dynamic DPA simulation - as similar as DMU, but a little difference it has. While the static DPA simulation is too limited to verify design quality, the dynamic DPA make it possible to detect design error and dynamic crash between parts more effectively when the products are assembled. We focused on how to make DPA more effective, fast, reliable, quantitative and support to make a decision for designer before the product development period finished. Because of such reasons, we introduced dynamic DPA simulation based on CAE, assembly criteria for valuation, optimization of assembly path. Those make dynamic DPA more effective, fast, and reliable. Through these studies, we could reduce not only simulation verification time, but also improve reliable result for supporting developers.
Haptoglobin Concentration in the Cord Blood of Uninfected Korean Newborns

Objective: Highly sensitive haptoglobin measurement should be used in neonates because the haptoglobin concentration in neonates is lower than that of adults. The aim of this study was to establish the reference values of haptoglobin levels in the cord blood of uninfected neonates. Methods: The cord blood of 29 preterm and 51 term babies was collected, and data from the mother and the newborn were recorded. The haptoglobin concentrations of 80 cord blood samples were simultaneously measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA; Assaypro, St Charles, MO, USA) and immunoturbidimetry assay (Roche Diagnostics, Basel, Switzerland). C-reactive protein (CRP) was also measured by immunoturbidimetry assay (Roche Diagnostics, Switzerland). Results: Mean values of CRP and ELISA haptoglobin were not significantly different between preterm and term babies. The 2.5 percentile and 97.5 percentile values of ELISA haptoglobin concentration were as follows: 80 neonates, 0.01 mg/dL and 0.59 mg/dL; 29 preterm babies, 0.08 mg/dL and 0.18 mg/dL; and 51 term babies, 0.07 mg/dL and 0.23 mg/dL. There were no differences in ELISA haptoglobin concentration according to maternal underlying diseases, delivery method, usage of antibiotics or steroids before delivery, gestational age, gender of baby, or twin gestation. Conclusion: A highly sensitive haptoglobin method should be used to determine the haptoglobin concentration in Korean newborns because the reference values of cord blood haptoglobin concentration in Korean newborns are less than the lower detection limit for commonly used immunoturbidimetric haptoglobin measurement methods.
Long-term follow-up results of cytarabine-containing chemotherapy for acute promyelocytic leukemia

Background/Aims: We evaluated the feasibility and long-term efficacy of the combination of cytarabine, idarubicin, and all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) for treating patients with newly diagnosed acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL). Methods: We included 87 patients with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia and a t(15;17) or promyelocytic leukemia/ retinoic acid receptor alpha (PML-RARα) mutation. Patients received 12 mg/m2/day idarubicin intravenously for 3 days and 100 mg/m2/day cytarabine for 7 days, plus 45 mg/m2/day ATRA. Clinical outcomes included complete remission (CR), relapse- free survival (RFS), overall survival (OS), and the secondary malignancy incidence during a 20-year follow-up. Results: The CR, 10-year RFS, and 10-year OS rates were 89.7%, 94.1%, and 73.8%, respectively, for all patients. The 10- year OS rate was 100% for patients that achieved CR. Subjects were classified according to the white blood cell (WBC) count in peripheral blood at diagnosis (low-risk, WBC < 10,000/mm3; high-risk, WBC ≥ 10,000/mm3). The low-risk group had significantly higher RFS and OS rates than the high-risk group, but the outcomes were not superior to the current standard treatment (arsenic trioxide plus ATRA). Toxicities were similar to those observed with anthracycline plus ATRA, and higher than those observed with arsenic trioxide plus ATRA. The secondary malignancy incidence after APL treatment was 2.7%, among the 75 patients that achieved CR, and 5.0% among the 40 patients that survived more than 5 years after the APL diagnosis. Conclusions: Adding cytarabine to anthracycline plus ATRA was not inferior to anthracycline plus ATRA alone, but it was not comparable to arsenic trioxide plus ATRA. The probability of secondary malignancy was low.
RNA-Seq for Gene Expression Profiling of Human Necrotizing Enterocolitis: a Pilot Study

<P>Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) characterized by inflammatory intestinal necrosis is a major cause of mortality and morbidity in newborns. Deep RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) has recently emerged as a powerful technology enabling better quantification of gene expression than microarrays with a lower background signal. A total of 10 transcriptomes from 5 pairs of NEC lesions and adjacent normal tissues obtained from preterm infants with NEC were analyzed. As a result, a total of 65 genes (57 down-regulated and 8 up-regulated) revealed significantly different expression levels in the NEC lesion compared to the adjacent normal region, based on a significance at fold change ≥ 1.5 and <I>P</I> ≤ 0.05. The most significant gene, <I>DPF3</I> (<I>P</I> < 0.001), has recently been reported to have differential expressions in colon segments. Our gene ontology analysis between NEC lesion and adjacent normal tissues showed that down-regulated genes were included in nervous system development with the most significance (<I>P</I> = 9.3 × 10<SUP>−7</SUP>; <I>P<SUB>corr</SUB></I> = 0.0003). In further pathway analysis using Pathway Express based on the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) database, genes involved in thyroid cancer and axon guidance were predicted to be associated with different expression (<I>P<SUB>corr</SUB></I> = 0.008 and 0.020, respectively). Although further replications using a larger sample size and functional evaluations are needed, our results suggest that altered gene expression and the genes' involved functional pathways and categories may provide insight into NEC development and aid in future research.</P>
