      • To Explore Student`s Perception between Teaching and Coaching in Sport : Focused on Department of Physical Education and Department of Sport

        The purpose of this study was to explore whether students in College of Kinesiology(Department of Physical Education and Department of Sport) have any opinions in regard to teaching and coaching in sport. College of Kinesiology use different terminology across multiple areas. It is necessary to evaluate each meaning of "Teaching" and "Coaching". The method used in the study was qualitative research. The data was collected using surveys for 5 months time period from March to July, 2016 with interviews and observation of 3 different College of Kinesiology students. The collected data was analyzed using the inductive method to conduct classification analysis through the form of a transcription, coding and categorization. They have different perception about teaching and coaching in sports: Department of PE student considered teaching has broader meaning than coaching. Because most of the students wanted to be a PE teacher, and they learned curriculum and school operation in educational part. Under these influence, They perceived teaching category is more important than coaching category. They think coaching is narrow concept, due to the purpose of promoting the learning motor skills and performance in psychomotor value. So they think that teaching is educational purposes with affective, cognitive, and psychomotor value add on coaching. Department of Sport students considered more deeper coaching meaning than teaching meaning, because they give a lesson in variety range of age for specific oriented goal. The purpose of coaching effects on exercise performance enhancement, so they focus on their specific technical aspects and performances. Department of Sport student perceived teaching applies only in realms of middle school, high school, and college. therefore teaching is limited to teaching the contents in curriculum. But coaching is related to life cycle with all kinds of sport, so Department of Sport student recognized that coaching has more serious role in area of sports. On the other hand, some student has more coaching is looking to raise their area of expertise elite athletes. Teaching is as a professional area to train educators or teacher. In the intersection part of coaching and teaching was education value, That is to teach someone had emphasized that it is also part. Therefore, Based on the perception College of Kinesiology student, there is a need that a more clear concept of coaching and teaching in sport. In particular, it is necessary to further highlight the educational value at interrelation between teaching and coaching. For integration of teaching and coaching in sport, It will need to be helped by the expertise of different professional areas. Therefore, Teaching and coaching would have a complementary relation rather than being seperated.

        Effects of Dual Tasks on Balance Ability in Patients with Cerebellar Ataxia

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of dual tasks on balance and postural control during standing in patients with cerebellar ataxia (CA). It was hypothesized that CA patients would exhibit different sway characteristics of the center of mass (COM) depending on the complexity of the secondary cognitive tasks compared with normal control subjects. Methods: A total of 8 patients with CA and age-matched healthy control subjects participated in this study. They were instructed to perform two balance tasks (non-dual and dual movement) with 3 different complexity of dual tasks. Range, variability, and velocity of COMs were measured. Results: According to the results CA patients showed deficits in balance and postural control with increased dual-task complexity during the static balance task in saggital sway movements. However, there was no significant difference in static balance in frontal sway. With higher difficulty in the cognitive task, CA patients took longer to stabilize their body center, while normal control subjects showed no change between conditions. In addition, CA patients had a greater COM resultant velocity during recovery in the dual-task condition compared with the single-task condition. These findings indicate that CA patients had defendable compensatory strategies in performing dual tasks. Conclusion: In conclusion, CA patients appeared to manage the priority to balance and postural control. Particularly in a situation with a postural threat such as when potential consequences of the loss of stability increase, they appeared to prioritize the control of balance and posture over the performance of the secondary task.

        한 골프지도자의 골프대학 교수경험에 대한 자문화기술지

        나는 골프대학에서 학생들을 가르치는 교수활동에서 얻은 경험들을 자문화기술지를 통해 기술하였다. 골프지도자로서 교수활동을 하는 과정에서 자신에 대한 역할의 변화, 골프지도방법과 수업내용의 재구성, 그리고 골프교육이 지니는 의미와 가치에 대해 개인의 이야기를 사회문화적 맥락과 연결 지어 기술하고자 하였다. 본 연구 결과를 살펴보면, 첫째, 골프지도자에서 골프교수로서 변화하는 과정에서 역할변화에 따른 혼란을 경험하였다. 골프레슨을 하는 골프지도자의 삶에서 학생을 가르치는 교수의 삶으로 변화하는 과정에서의 나의 설렘과 기대감은 교육적 활동에 대해 내가 세운 목표에서 비롯되었다. 나의 교육적 목표에 포함되어 있는 학생과 학교시스템에 대해 실망하고 이를 극복하며 다시 기대를 하는 나의 모습을 통해 역할의 혼란을 겪으면서 골프교육자로 거듭날 수 있었다. 둘째, 골프대학의 교수활동에 있어 수업지도방법과 수업내용을 다르게 구성하는 나를 경험하였다. 골프대학에 대한 학생들의 불만과 불신은 수업의 운영과 방식에서 비롯되어 이를 넘어서기 위해서는 교육내용보다 교수의 역할이 더욱 중요하다는 것을 알게 되었다. 셋째, 골프기량위주의 실기수업만이 아닌 인성과 기본 소양을 포함한 기초이론을 가르치기 위해 노력하는 나를 되돌아보면서, 골프대학 학생들이 프로골퍼가 되기 위해 노력하는 것이 내가 추구하는 골프교육의 가치와 상충되지 않는다는 것을 경험하였다. This article describes my experiences of teaching professors teaching students in a golf college through an autoethnography. I experience that changed professor`s role, remake golf teaching method and teaching contents, and verified golf education`s meaning and value. The narratives of micro-personal stories about the meaning and value of golf education are described in connection with the macro-socio-cultural context in the process of teaching as a professional golfer. The specific results are as fellows: First, I have experienced role confusion in the process of changing from a professional golfer to a golf professor in college, I learned that my excitement and expectation stemmed from my goals for educational activities. But I was disappointed with the students and the golf college system included in my educational goals, and I was able to become a golf professor by being confused by my role in overcoming expectations. Second, I have experienced the construction of teaching methods and contents of teaching theoretical and practical classes in golf college. The dissatisfaction and disbelief of the students at the golf college came from the class operation and the method, and then it was found that the role of the professor is important. Third, I am trying to practice the intrinsic value of golf education that I pursue through the teaching activities of golf college, and the external values of students trying to become professional golfers are not different from each other.

        대학 골프전공수업에 관한 학생인식 탐색

        본 연구는 골프전문인 양성을 목적으로 설립된 골프학과의 전공수업에 대한 학생 인식을 탐색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 수도권 소재 골프학과 재학생 2명과 졸업생 2명으로 총 4명의 주 연구참여자를 선정하여, 2015년 09월부터 2016년 06월까지 10개월간 참여관찰과 심층면담을 통해 수집된 자료를 귀납적 범주분석 방법을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 첫째 학생들은 골프기량과 실력향상을 위한 실기수업위주로 구성되어 있어 골프이론을 배우기 위한 수업은 부족하다고 인식하였다. 둘째, 실기수업이 진행되는 과정에서 학생들은 서로 다른 형태로 수업에 참여하고 있다고 인식했다. 프로골퍼학생은 교수의 수업을 보조하는 역할을 담당하고 있고, 일반학생은 프로골퍼학생과의 골프기량 차이로 인해 수업이 이루어지는 연습장과 필드에서 소외를 받는다고 생각하였다. 셋째, 학생들은 골프전공과목이 전문적인 소양을 위한 이론적 체계가 구체화 되지 않았으며, 이를 실전에 활용할 수 있도록 제공되는 수업 역시 부족하다고 인식하였다. 이러한 학생들의 인식 결과를 바탕으로, 첫째, 프로골퍼학생과 일반학생들이 혼재되어 있는 수업방식을 나누어서 진행할 수 있도록 바뀌어져야 한다. 둘째, 선수육성을 위한 실기위주의 수업방식이 아닌 다양한 영역에서의 골프전문인을 양성할 수 있도록 이론수업과 실기수업의 균형이 필요하다. 마지막으로 골프이론을 기반으로 운영되는 수업의 확대, 이론을 실전에 적용시키는 수업 등에 대한 학습자의 요구와 필요를 받아들이고 이를 수업에 활용함으로써 교수 중심으로 운영되는 수업의 내용에서 탈피하여 골프에 관한 보다 전문적 자질과 소양을 갖출 수 있는 수업의 구성과 운영이 필요하다. The purpose of this study was to explore the students" perception of the golf classes. The student were chosen by received golf department classes in Metropolitan area. The data was collected 10 months time period during September 2015 to June 2016 with in-depth interviews and observation. The collected data analyzed using the inductive method to conduct classification analysis. This study results, First, the students felt that the basic golf theory classes were lacked on their classes because golf department was made by skill-oriented curriculum. Second, the golf department showed the difference perception between the normal student and golf-professional student. normal student receives the alienation on their class, and golf-professional student helps their faculty"s class like a teaching assistant. Third, student have a perception that curriculum operated by teacher-centered education. Based on these results, it suggested a way to provide to improve of the golf department class qualities. First, the classes operate other way such as golf professional student participated as a student rather than a teaching assistant role, and normal student participate without alienation on their class. Second, Through the configuration of a systematic curriculum by combining a good application aspects of basic kinesiology theory and golf part theory that must put the academic worth in golf department. Last, The curriculum will be made operational to meet the student"s needs and requirements with their level.
