실란화와 UV를 통해 개질된 TiO_(2)를 이용한 수용액상의 양이온 염료의 광분해율 향상에 관한 연구
TiO2 is modified with silanes and UV for increase of photocatalytic efficiency. HS and OTCS, having liner structure, formed more dense layer on TiO2 surface than cyclic TMCTS. Modified TiO2 is increasing adsorption rate more than pure TiO2. Since SiOx layer of catalyst surface appear charge in water, adsorption rate of methylene blue which is one of the cationic dye is elevated by electrostatic attraction. Comparing pure TiO2 with modified TiO2, photodecompositoin rate as remarkably accelerated to surface modified TiO2 with silanol. In hydrido silane(HS) and chloro silane(OTCS), there is no difference in photodecompositoin rate. Treated TiO2 with TMCTS appeared more effective result than others in initial photodecomposition rate. Since residual alkyl group of silane after UV treating, approaching of cationic dye to catalyst surface in water is hindered. Thus photo degradation rate of modified TiO2 is dependent upon more residual alkyl chain length than silane structure.
