루터의 종교개혁이 가져온 교육의 변화 : 포스트 코로나 시대를 위한 제언

오늘날 전 세계는 코로나–19의 어두운 그림자와 함께 2021년 새해를 맞이하였다. 전 세계 모든 나라는 전염병의 확산을 막는 데에 초집중하고 있다. 약 1년이라는 시간은 지금까지 유지되었던 생활 방식을 이전에는 경험되지 않았던 생활로 빠르게 변화시켰다. 더욱이 현재의 위기가 미래에 어떤 영향을 미치게 될지 예측하기는 쉽지 않다. 전문가들을 코로나-19가 사라지더라도 코로나-19 이전 모습으로 돌아가는 것이 어려울 것이라는 견해이다. 이렇게 급변하는 변화의 시대에 교육 또한 예외 일 수 없다. 교육의 변화가 불가피하기에 본질에 주의를 기울여야 한다. 그날의 위기를 해결하기 위해 “무언가를 하라”는 분명한 요구 속에서 교육의 본질이 잊히거나 단지 부차적인 지위로 강등 될 위험이 있기 때문이다. 그러므로 이 논문은 교육을 하는 근본적인 본질을 적절한 위치로 복원하는 것에 목표를 두고 있다. 교육의 본질을 회복하기 위해 가장 먼저 해야 할 일은 교육의 출발점을 찾아 연구하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 현대 공교육의 창시자로 널리 알려져 있는 마르틴 루터에게 초점을 맞추었다. 루터가 교육의 본질을 깨닫고 교육적 관점을 실천하면서 공교육이 실체화되어 실현되었기 때문이다. 루터의 이러한 교육적 견해는 여러 면에서 그가 촉발한 개혁 운동의 자연스러운 논리적인 결과라 할 수 있다. 루터의 개혁운동은 유럽 사회의 정치, 경제, 교육 등 사회의 다양한 측면에 비범하고 지속적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 모두 성경에 대한 올바른 해석에서 시작되었다. 루터는 성경에 기초한 독특한 교육 원리를 고안했다. 성경에는 하나님께서 우리 인간에게 주시고자 하시는 말씀이 들어있다. 하나님의 말씀을 바르게 이해하기 위해서는 적절한 교육이 수반되어야 했다. 이것이 루터가 사람들을 교육시키는 본질이라 할 수 있다. 여기서 우리는 루터가 이 교육의 본질을 인식하고 표현하게 된 과정을 알아야 한다. 그러면서도 루터가 사람들을 교육시키는 본질이 그의 시대에만 적용되는지 아니면 오늘날 이 시대에도 여전히 유효한지 결정해야하기 때문이다. 이것은 이 연구에서 매우 중요하다. 이 연구를 위해서는 루터를 이해해야 한다. 루터를 이해하려면 루터 시대의 전반적인 환경과 삶의 측면, 신학사상, 교육사상을 알아야 한다. 진실로 우리는 이러한 자료를 통해서 연구할 때 루터를 올바르게 이해할 수 있고 루터가 바라보는 시각을 우리도 볼 수 있기 때문이다. 루터가 사람들, 특히 어린이들을 교육해야 한다고 말한 이유가 그들이 성경을 바르게 이해하고 올바른 믿음을 가진 선한 사람으로 성장하며 살 수 있기를 희망했기 때문이다. 이런 교육을 받고 자란 소명을 가진 믿음의 사람들은 세상을 섬기는데 쓰임 받게 될 것이다. 루터의 개혁 운동은 어두운 중세 유럽을 일깨웠고 그의 교육개혁은 수세기 동안 유럽을 계몽하고 형성하는데 도움이 되었다. 확실히 그의 교육에 대한 올바른 이해는 우리가 코로나-19 이후 시대를 준비할 때 교육의 본질에 대한 유사한 통찰력과 이점을 제시할 것이다. 교육에 대한 루터의 견해는 코로나-19 이후 우리 사회에서 가정교육, 공립교육, 기독교교육과 관련하여 어떤 방향을 취해야 하는지 알려주고 있다.

종교개혁과 루터, 그리고 그의 음악 : 기독교한국루터회 예배음악을 위한 제안

Reformation movement has made a significant impact on almost every aspects of human life at that time, and in year 2017, we will be celebrating 500th anniversary of the Reformation. In that respect, Martin Luther who bravely posted his 95 theses on the Power and Efficacy of Indulgences on the door of the Castle Church of Wittenberg deserves to be the center of festivity. This thesis examines how the music has changed after the Reformation and how it influenced the future generations. It will also try to prove why Luther needs to be accepted as a serious musician by proving that Luther had respectable college educations to become a good musician, specially as a good composer. I examined few of Luther's contemporaries who attended the same university with Luther to prove that. This will provides evidence that Luther had essential talents of both the composer and the preacher. More extensive and enduring research would likely have allowed a better opportunity to further expand the musical horizons at Reformation periods. But, at least, this thesis will demonstrate that there is a inseparable relationship between lyrics and music in Luther's musical outputs. From this - 133 - respect I tried to suggest a modification to the liturgic musics which almost every Lutheran church in Korea uses for their service, in terms of a better relationship between the music and the words, and a acceptability of the music as well. For last 3 years, the writer had a opportunity to worship in the Lutheran seminary and in the Oksoo Lutheran Church as well. That experience provided a good insight towards this modification.

팬데믹에 대한 루터의 권고에 관한 연구

중국 우한에 발생한 코로나19는 전 세계적으로 팬데믹 상황을 발생시켰다. 이러한 팬데믹 상황은 대한민국에도 영향을 미쳤다. 국가는 코로나19 바이러스 발생 된 대규모 전염병 감염 확산 방지와 이로 인한 사회적 혼란과 불안 확산을 막기 위해 사회적 거리 두기 시스템을 만들어 사회 곳곳을 통제하기 시작하였다. 이와 같은 국가의 통제를 사람들은 자발적⦁비자발적으로 받아들이기 시작하였다. 그러면서 곳곳에 반발의 목소리가 나타났고, 사회 구성원들 사이에서는 분열과 갈등의 양상이 도래되었다. 정부의 사회적 거리두기 방침에 따라 교회는 예배 통제를 받게 되었다. 예배와 모임의 인원수가 제한 혹은 축소되었으며, 대면 예배가 아닌 온라인 비대면 예배를 드리게 되었다. 정부의 통제로 인해 현장 예배를 드릴 없는 교회는 혼란에 빠지게 되었다. 교회들은 대면 예배와 비대면 예배의 여배 형식을 놓고 갈등하기 시작하였다. 예배 형식 변화의 갈등과 혼란 속에 대다수 교회들은 사회적 거리두기와 비대면 예배 등을 독려하며 정부의 통제에 협조하였다. 하지만 일부 교회들은 대면 예배를 고수하였다. 교회의 갈등과 혼란 속에 코로나19가 교회를 중심으로 4차례에 걸쳐 확산되었다. 교회의 예배, 성가대 모임, 집회, 성경 공부 등을 중심으로 교회발 감염 사례들이 발생하였다. 또한 단계적 일상회복 상황 가운데 오미크론 변이 바이러스에 감염된 목회자 부부의 거짓말로 인해 다시 한번 교회를 중심으로 코로나19가 재확산되었다. 코로나19 확산의 원인으로 교회가 지목되면서 사람들은 교회에 대하여 신뢰할 수 없는 부정적인 종교단체로 인식하게 되었다. 이에 여기서 몇 가지 질문이 발생한다. ‘왜 한국 교회는 이처럼 사람들에게 부정적이고 신뢰할 수 없는 혐오의 대상이 되어버렸는가?’, ‘한국 교회가 코로나19로 인해 예배 형식인 ’대면 예배냐‘, ’비대면 예배냐‘를 놓고 서로 갈등과 혼란을 겪고 있는 사이에, 교회 스스로가 놓치고 잇는 부분이 있는 것은 아닌가?’라는 질문이 나타나게 된다. 코로나19 팬데믹 상황 가운데 ‘한국 교회의 부정적인 이미지를 탈피하고 신회를 회복하기 위한 해답’을 찾기 위해, ‘우리는 치명적인 전염병으로부터 피할 수 있는가?’라는 루터의 공개서신을 토대로 ‘팬데믹에 대한 루터의 권고’를 연구하고 현대 교회에 적용하고자 한다.

루터 신학과 성경 : '오직 성경(Sola Scriptura)'을 중심으로

한국의 교회와 성도는 예수님을 믿는다 말하고, 성경을 믿는다 말하지만, 삶에서는 성경이 말씀하는 것을 실천하지 못하고 있는 것이 현실이다. 2020년 9월 7일 기독신문의 기사 “개신교 부정적 인식 확산, 본질 회복 시급하다”를 보면, 코로나19 이전과 이후 종교별 신뢰도 변화를 조사한 결과가 나온다. 응답자의 63.3%가 개신교에 대한 신뢰도가 “더 나빠졌다”고 답했다. 그 이유를 알기 위해 ‘개신교가 가장 힘써야 할 활동’이 무엇이냐고 질문했다. 응답자들 중에 가장 많은 34.8%가 응답한 것은 “윤리와 도덕 실천운동”이었다. 그 뒤를 잇는 응답은 “사회적 약자 구제 및 봉사”(24.1%)였다. 이 두 응답은 결국 한 가지를 말한다. 성경은 이러한 삶을 살라고 말씀하는데, 교회와 성도는 왜 성경대로 살지 못하느냐는 것이다. 연구자는 이 문제의 원인이 교회와 성도가 성경을 자신의 유일한 ‘규범’으로 받아들이지 않았기 때문이라 생각한다. ‘규범’이라는 단어의 사전적 의미는 ‘마땅히 따라야 하거나 따를 만한 본보기’라는 뜻이다. 즉, 성경은 교회와 성도에게 어떻게 살아야 하는지 본보기가 된다는 의미이고, 마땅히 성경을 따라야 한다는 의미이다. 하지만 교회와 성도는 성경을 자신의 규범으로 삼았다고 보기 힘든 모습으로 살아가고 있다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 성경을 자신의 규범으로 놓고, 치열하게 ‘오직 성경’을 외쳤던 루터에게서 답을 찾으려 한다. 이 연구의 중심이 되는 자료는 ‘루터선집’이다. 루터가 했던 말들 중 일부를 선택하고 한글로 번역한 것인데, ‘루터선집’에 나오는 내용들을 중심으로 루터에게 성경은 어떤 의미였는지 알아보고, 성경이 교회와 성도에게 규범이 된다고 말한 내용들을 정리하겠다. 이를 통해 이 시대의 교회와 성도들이 루터가 말한 ‘오직 성경’의 의미를 다시 한 번 깨닫고, 성경을 자신의 규범으로 받아들여서 말씀대로 살아가는데 유익을 끼치길 기대한다.

힐데가르트 폰 빙엔과 마틴 루터의 생태사상

This study was started in midst of the ever increasing interest in our ecosystem. The purpose of this study is seeking the meaning of God's creation through the ecological thoughts of Martin Luther and Hildegard von Bingen. This study especially focused on the views towards nature of these two persons. This study is looking at the general meaning of ecology and introducing ecology as a human science as well as ecological theology which is derived from the study of evolution and ecology. Also the author examined eco-feminism which receives keen interest today. Common spirituality and eco-spirituality which will be encountered in the course of this study are also examined. The author examines what God-cenetered ecological spirituality which we can often encounter in the Bible really means. He also explains how the medieval scholastic view toward God had influenced Luther and Hildegard. The author also tried to explain ecological spirituality by comparing Luther's view toward God and the late medieval Mysticism. In particular, in this study, Hildegard‘s view of nature characterized by viriditas and Luther‘s view of nature stressing the continuity of creation became the center of this paper. The ecological concepts of these two persons are compared in this paper to enable today's reader to envision an ecologically alternative life-style. In this study, the author tries to emphasize that the existence of both basically different concepts of ecological spirituality is according to God's good will. In addition, this research has made the author understand how today's humankind should live together with God, with nature and with each other.

‘하나님의 의(義)’에 대한 바울과 루터의 사상 연구

St. Paul maintains that the righteousness of God is a righteousness by faith. Forgiveness of sins by God and His justifying act reveal that reveals that He is righteous. The assertion, "the righteous will live by faith," reveals that God declares a sinner to righteous. Luther also finds in the same assertion that God is righteous. He finds that saving faith is not a human enterprise but God's act and gift. Luther stresses then that works follow from faith, and that only true faith can beget good works. That is, works must come as a result of faith. However, good works can not be a prerequisite for human righteousness. They cannot be criteria for human righteousness and thus cannot be human possession. Luther thus speaks of double righteousness, stressing that human beings cannot reach their own righteousness without going through the righteousness of Christ. Christians today need to realize that the righteousness of God St. Paul and Luther found is a true principle of faith. God clothes the believers with the righteousness of His only Son which is perfect, spotless, and without blemish. This is what it means to be justified by faith alone. Human beings are justified by believing in Jesus Christ apart from good works. They also bear the cross by themselves. For the righteousness of God is spoken to us in the word and becomes our own righteousness in faith. Sinners become righteous by faith in the sight of God. God declares them as free from sins in the word and through the Holy Spirit. We are saved by the righteousness of God. This righteousness does not spring from the inside of human beings, but is given by God. Thus it is an alien righteousness. God declares sinners to be free through the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, bestowing them righteousness. We are justified while he who is the only righteous one is undergoing the death penalty. This is a happy exchange. Therefore, the righteousness of God which is the ground of our salvation is one given through the cross of Jesus Christ. We need, therefore, as St. Paul and Luther did, to reestablish our Christian identity through a correct understanding of the righteousness of God which the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ has brought.

루터의 “칭의 사상”의 발전 : 생애와 성서강해를 중심으로

The purpose of this thesis is looking at how the theory of "Justification by faith only" by Luther had evolved through his lifetime. The study was done by examining Luther's life and his biblical lectures. Today's Korean churches are increasingly becoming exclusive rather than inclusive, and also becoming a community which is centered on ministers not on the doctrine of Christ. The direction of this study is aiming at the progress of theological thoughts which might have influenced Luther throughout the course of his lifetime, specially before and after the Reformation. The doctrine of "justification by faith alone" which Luther had said applies to all creature despite of whether they are monachs or gatekeepers, healthy or sickly person, anad wise or ignorant. Because "justification" is not to get by contributions or labor of people. Rather it comes from the Creator's own right. As we can see from this study, korean churches of this generation need a re-awakening of justification which Luther spoke about. A recovery of the spirit of Lutheran Reformation should be proceded for the restoration of faith. In our time "Justification" is a personal and community events. This event delivers us from all evil things. In this respect, "Justification" is the essence of Christianity. We obtain justification through our faith in Christ only. God's work is done both in one time and ongoing relationship with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. In this relationship, the proclamation in justification makes us to realize that we are sinners. On these principles, Korean churches can be build as a gospel oriented church which proclaims the pure love of our Lord. Justification which comes from God, comes because of Christ, and comes with a guidance of the Holy Spirit, is realized by faith. Justification of God precedes the realization of a sinner, it is stronger than all our sins. God's grace is what people say, as "cheap grace" but "can not repay grace. If we add anything to God's justification, or if we tell people that we need to be a human partner in God's justification, it is not only an insult to God but it is a anti-christian. The concept of justification which Luther had pursued throughout his lifetime is not merely a product of one person, it is rather a God's justice which reveals who he truly is.

한국 개신교의 문제점과 대응에 관한 연구 : 루터신학과 기독교 한국루터회를 중심으로

ABSTRACT A Study on the Problems of the Korean Protestant Church and How to Address them ‘with a focus on Luther’s theology and Lutheranism in Korea’ Jeong, Jun sik Master of Divinity Department of Theology Luther University Graduate School Today's Korean church has many problems that are similar to the church at the time of Martin Luther, 501 years ago. To identify these problems, I studied how Christianity itself first came to Korea. and how it settled and developed in Korea after that. I then I looked at how the Lutheran church was settled in Korea and how the first Lutheran church conducted itself as a mission endeavor in Korea. This approach was necessary because in order to fully understand the problem as it exists today, one must start from the very beginning. If Christ is a human being who is the very image of God, the Church is a community that displays Christ to the world. Paul refers to the church as "the body of Christ," (1 Cor. 12:27 et al.), which best summarizes the essential identity of the Church. Therefore, the church is the body of Christ living on earth as a community. And the saints are each part of the body; literally, they are the body’s members. Therefore, the world must be able to witness the image of Christ through the church, understand his character, and experience his grace. When the church becomes a true community of Christ, people experience the kingdom of God and recognize the truth and reality of the gospel. The problem is that Korean churches are not behaving that way, today. In this era of media development and the information age, any faults and failures in a local or denominational church are immediately broadcast for all the world to see. Critics are quick to pounce on these sins and use them to vocally and vociferously denounce the Christian church as a fraud. This, in turn, brings dishonor to our Lord and Savior himself and undermines the gospel message. Jesus said, "I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance" (Luke 15:7). But rather than preaching the need for repentance to its hearers, the Korean church is showing its own unworthiness and need to repent! As a student studying Lutheran theology, I believe that the whole Korean Protestant Church is heir to the spirit of the Reformation movement begun by Martin Luther. Therefore we have the hope of solving the problems of Korean Protestantism, just as surely as the Reformation movement solved the problems of medieval Roman Catholicism, through the unique insights Martin Luther provided. So I was motivated to study the Korean problem from the perspective of Lutheran theology.

루터신학에 따른 목회모델 연구

ABSTRACT Study of Luther's theology in Pastoral Models Lim, Jinsu Master of Divinity Department of Theology Luther University Graduate School Many people point out that the corruption of the Protestant church in Korea is, in many ways, similar to that of the medieval Catholic church. At this point, it is beneficial to consider Martin Luther's theology and his ideas for reforming the medieval Catholic Church to prevent its collapse. This study aims to review various aspects of Luther's thought and to propose a fresh application of Luther's pastoral theology to the Christian church in Korea. To Luther, the church was a gathering of believers where the gospel was proclaimed in truth and purity, and where the Sacraments were administered properly. Based on this ecclesiology, the researchers emphasizes that the modern church should manifest the truth of the inward-transforming gospel message through outward visible service. He also recognizes the significance of the priesthood of all believers, which is an important topic for him, and proposes core values of the church accordingly. Next, Luther's understanding of the Word was that Christ was the basis for everything, and he interpreted and preached the Bible according to this standard. Based on this understanding of the Word, the researcher says that the preacher should pursue a model of Christ and that preaching is always accompanied by a ministry of giving comfort to believers. Third, the researcher studied Luther's thoughts on worship and the sacraments. His understanding of worship is that God is serving, and human beings therefore respond with thanks and praise. In addition, Luther embraced the concept of Augustine's sacramental idea, expressing the importance of the sacrament in God's promise, which, through the Word, played a role in reinforcing our relationship with God through faith. Luther's concept of sacrament, in contrast to the seven sacraments of Catholicism, recognized only two things that could be included based on the Bible: baptism and the Lord's Supper. Luther, baptism was to establish a relationship with the saving God, and this relationship must always be recalled and remembered. Luther understood that the Lord's Supper was Christ's actual arrival in, with, and under bread and wine, and that it would bring comfort to the remission of sin to those involved. He emphasized repentance, which, unlike the medieval Catholic bishops, does not come out of force or force, but he emphasized that the conscience must repent sincerely, with conviction and urgency, to forgive sins. particular, Luther had opposed the interpretation of the enthusiasts regarding the sacraments. Their radical interpretation led them to lose the salvific aspect of the sacraments. Therefore, this study proposes a return to proper sacramental practice and suggests the use of the baptism ceremony found in the Christian Korean Lutheran worship book, which is in keeping with the tenets of Lutheran theology. Finally, the researcher examined the breadth of spirituality which is encompassed in Luther's theological methodology of prayer, meditation, and trials. In addition, Luther's central idea of "theology of cross" was examined, which reminds us that trials that have come to church and individuals will make Christians more mature.

주일예배에 나타난 구약의 예배사상 : 기독교한국루터회 주일 예배 중심으로

기독교 한국 루터회(이하 LCK)는 초대교회로부터 내려오는 전통을 그대로 지키면서 개신교의 장자 교단이라는 사명감을 가지고 그 전통을 이어가고 있다. 하지만 요즘 LCK의 성도들은 이 예배 의식의 의미를 모른 채 그저 주일 예배 때 하는 한 행위로 따라 하는 경우를 보게 된다. 이렇게 의미를 모른 채 예배 의식을 따라 하게 되면 예배의 의미를 잃어버리고 행위를 중요시하는 행위 주의자로 변질이 될 가능성이 크다. 루터교회의 예배 특징은 예전을 가진 예배이고, 전통을 유산으로 물려받은 예배이다. 이 전통을 유산으로 물려받은 루터교 예배는 구약시대에 드려졌던 예배의 전통을 물려받고, 이 전통을 지키면서 예배를 드리고 있는데 예배를 드리는 루터란(Lutheran)은 그 예배 안에 있는 의미를 정확히 이해하고, 그 예배에 집례자가 시키는 대로 하는 수동적인 자세가 아니라 성도 스스로 예배에 참여하여, 그 속에서 주님을 만나는 능동적인 자세가 필요하다고 생각되었다. 그래서 본 연구에서는 LCK의 성도들이 능동적으로 예배를 드리기 위해서는 먼저 성경과 중세교회부터 종교개혁자의 예배 의미를 살펴보고, 그 후 구약에서 드리는 예배 의식을 살펴보고, 그 예배 의식에서 나타난 예배 정신을 살펴볼 필요가 있다고 생각되었다. 이렇게 구약시대의 예배 정신을 이해한 후 LCK에서 사용하고 있는 예배서에서 근거의 말씀으로 삼고 있는 구약의 본문들을 통하여 LCK의 예배의 의미를 연구할 필요가 있다고 생각되었다. 이러한 작업을 통하여 본 연구에서는 LCK에서 신앙생활을 하는 성도들이 매 주일 드리는 예배 의식의 의미를 정확하게 이해하고, 드리는 예배를 그저 형식으로 드려지는 예배가 아니라, 자신을 위하여 이 땅에 오셔서 돌아가시고, 부활하신 주님께 욱더 감사하고, 그 주님을 진심으로 예배드리도록 도와주는 것이 이 논문의 목적이다. 이 목적을 이루기 위하여 본 논문은 LCK에서 사용하는 예배서에서 근거로 삼고 있는 구약성서의 구절로 정하였고, 이 구절들은 ‘본 문 비평방법론’으로 연구하고, 그 본문들의 의미를 파악한 후 현재 사용하고 있는 예배서에 적용을 시켜서 현재의 예배서에 의미를 파악할 것이다. 이런 연구를 통하여 성도들이 예배의 의미를 올바르게 파악하도록 교회에서 도와줄 수 있는 방법을 다음과 같이 제안한다. 먼저 교회에서 예배의 의미를 설명을 해야 한다. 교회에서 드리는 예배가 어떠한 뜻을 가지고 있으며, 그 단어의 뜻 속에 어떠한 신학적인 의미가 가지고 있는지를 설명해주어야 한다. 그 설명을 마친 후 목회자는 우리가 드리고 있는 예배의 요소에 대한 설명이 꼭 필요하다. 그 요소마다 신학적인 의미가 있고, 신앙적인 의미가 있다. 그 의미들을 성도들에게 교육하면서 성도들이 그 예배의 의미를 정확히 이해하고, 그 예배 가운데 임재하신 주님을 만나고, 주님의 은혜로 일주일동안 살아 갈 수 있는 힘을 얻게 되는 것이다. 이렇게 예배는 크리스천들에게 매우 중요하다. 하지만 그 예배를 아무런 의미가 없이 드리는 것을 그 예배를 통하여 내려 주시는 주님의 은혜를 경험할 후 없게 되는 것이다. 이제 한국의 루터란들이 예배의 의미를 깨닫고, 그 속에서 임재하시는 하나님의 은혜를 깨닫기를 바란다.
