김영숙의 통합피아노교수이론에 근거한 초급 피아노 지도방안 연구 : 베스틴 교재를 중심으로

ABSTRACT A Study of Piano Teaching Method for Beginners on Kim' s Piano Pedagogy Integration Theory - Focusing on Bastien Piano Series - Song In Young Master's Degree of Piano Pedagogy Graduate School of Music Gachon University Thesis Advisor: Professor Kim Young Sook The objective of music education is to develop the musical talent of individual student and nurture one's heart in music deeply and extensively. The ideal growth in music ought to be balanced in both talent and heart. Therefore piano education is not only acquisition of skill but it should have purpose on developing the students' potential with internal growth in music. I searched for new textbooks that are oriented towards comprehensive musical development of theories of the twentieth century with the newest teaching methods. Unfortunately, there were none that pursues balanced development of musicality and one's inner growth. Since I started Piano Pedagogy course in graduate school of Gachon University, I have been interested in Professor Kim's Piano Pedagogy Integration Theory and it motivated me to study about integrated piano teaching method for beginners. There are teaching materials with relatively various types of tonality being used in Korea and I have chosen Bastien Piano Basic for my study because the exercise of each tonality is systematic and the contents and composition are comprehensive which make it suitable to apply to Kim's theory. In this thesis, I am going to suggest the efficient elementary level teaching method for balanced musical growth with application of Bastien Piano Basic. As proving the development of Center of Being takes years, I took an approach to it with four axes instead. And that are Inner Listening, Sense of Rhythm, Technique, and Musical Language based on Center of Being. The procedure of the study is as below. First, I have examined elementary level piano teaching method in Professor Kim's Piano Pedagogy Integration Theory and music educationalist, James Bastien's book, How to Teach Piano Successfully. Second, I have examined the composition, contents and features of Bastien Piano Basic. Lastly, to attain integrated education through four axes of Inner Listening, Sense of Rhythm, Technique, and Musical Language in piano integration theory, I have suggested step-by-step teaching method using Bastien Piano Basic and applied to my students. As a result, there have been positive changes in the students' balanced development in musicality, interest in learning the piano, and the growth of their inner selves. Music soothes us and gives energy and joy in our lives. This is feasible when the correct musical education is done that suits the musical purpose and the correct musical education should be started from the elementary level. I hope that my teaching method for balanced development in musicality will be helpful for elementary level education. 〈국문초록〉 김영숙의 통합피아노교수이론에 근거한 초급 피아노 지도방안 연구 - 베스틴 교재를 중심으로 - 송 인 영 가천대학교 음악대학원 피아노 페다고지 전공 지도교수 김 영 숙 음악교육은 학생개개인의 음악적인 능력을 점진적으로 개발하고 음악적인 심성을 깊고 넓게 육성하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이홍수, 「음악교육의 현대적접근」(서울: 세광 1990) p.176-177 그러므로 바람직한 음악적 성장을 위해서는 피아노교육 역시 단순히 기능습득의 차원에서 이루어져서는 안 되며 학생의 심미적 가능성의 계발과 전인적인 교육으로서의 목표를 갖고 음악성의 균형 있는 발달과 내면의 성장이 함께 이루어지도록 해야 한다. 이에 본 연구자는 포괄적인 음악성의 계발을 지향하는 20세기의 음악교육이론과 최신의 교수법을 적용한 새로운 교재들을 살펴보았으나 음악성의 균형 있는 발달과 내면의 성장을 함께 추구하는 교수이론을 찾지 못하였다. 그러던 중 대학원에 입학하여 피아노교수법을 공부하며 피아노 교수학자 김영숙의 통합피아노교수이론에 관심을 갖게 되었고 이것이 피아노를 처음 시작하는 초급단계부터 적용되어져야 한다고 생각하여 본 연구를 시작하게 되었다. 연구를 위한 중심교재로는 현재 국내에서 사용 중인 교재들 중 비교적 다양한 조성을 경험할 수 있고 각 조성에 따른 훈련이 체계적이며 내용과 구성이 포괄적이어서 통합교수이론을 적용하기에 적합한 베스틴 교재(Bastien Piano Basics)를 선택하였다. 본 논문에서는 베스틴 교재를 활용하여 균형 있는 음악적 성장을 위한 체계적인 초급피아노 지도방안을 연구하고 이를 제시하며 실제 적용하여 보고자 한다. 이에 있어 통합피아노교수이론의 내면의 중심(core)이 성장함을 증명해야 하나 이를 단시간에 증명하기 어려우므로 대신 내면의 중심에 근거한 내청(Inner Listening), 리듬감(Sense of Rhythm), 테크닉(Technique), 음악언어(Musical Language)의 4축을 중심으로 다루었다. 연구방법은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 이론적 배경으로 피아노 교수학자 김영숙의 통합피아노교수이론과 James Bastien의 저서「how to teach piano successfully」에 언급된 피아노 학습의 기간에 따른 단계적 계획안에 대해 살펴보았다. 둘째, 베스틴 교재의 구성과 내용 및 특징에 대해 살펴보았다. 셋째, 통합피아노교수이론의 4축 (내청, 리듬감, 테크닉, 음악언어)을 통해 통합된 교육이 이루어지도록 베스틴 교재를 활용한 단계적인 지도방안을 제시하고 본 연구자가 운영하는 교습소의 학생을 대상으로 지도방안을 실제 적용하고 이를 관찰하였다. 그 결과 음악성의 균형 있는 발달, 피아노에 대한 관심과 흥미, 내면의 성장에 있어 긍정적인 변화를 보임을 알 수 있었다. 음악은 우리의 마음을 순화 시키고 삶에 활력과 즐거움을 준다. 이는 음악교육의 목표에 맞는 올바른 음악교육이 이루어질 때 가능하며 올바른 음악교육은 피아노를 처음 배우는 초급단계부터 이루어져야 한다고 생각한다. 본 논문에서 제시한 지도방안이 균형 있는 음악적 성장을 위한 초급 피아노 교육에 조금이나마 보탬이 되길 바라며 앞으로도 초급피아노교육에 대한 더 많은 후속 연구가 이루어지길 바란다.

his paper is an analytic study of the violin sonata K.301 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 ~ 1791). For the purpose of analyzing K.301, I first examined the historical background and aspects of Mozart’s life during the 1780s from which the piece originated. K.301, which was composed in 1788 during Mozart’s second period of life, was written in two movements based on Mozart’s experiences during his travels at the time. Other notable characteristics of this piece include the use of various musical techniques to highlight the tonic (I) / dominant (V) chords and cadence, and the use of a shortened development section (development, B part).
