Background: Coronavirus is posing challenges for the international community due to the escalating economic and social disorder across all sectors of society. It was unexpected that COVID-19 broke out and it led many universities to launch online programs to prevent its spread. Throughout the world, teaching and learning activities have been disrupted by the pandemic. Consequently, many organizations and education institutions have modified their strategies and systems and adopted new technologies. As a result, online learning has played a key role in the teaching and learning process. Therefore, understanding learner satisfaction with online learning is imperative, especially for international students who using the Korean Language in learning, for implementing the program effectively. Objective: Our study seeks to compare and investigate international students’ satisfaction with face-to-face (F2F) and online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic while learning a second foreign language (Korean). Methods: Study participants are selected by convenience sampling based on a cross-sectional design. This study was undertaken among 69 undergraduate international students who had participated in the online classes (zoom) started during the COVID-19 pandemic and those who willingly participated in this study. In collaboration with the global and educational office and the student management office, the recruitment advertisements have been posted in the dormitory around the School campus. Categorical data is described in terms of frequency and percentage, and the level of students’ satisfaction presents in this study using Means; to interpret the level of students’ satisfaction based on Mean score. The paired sample t-test was applied to evaluate the difference between the two variables of the study. A p-value of < 0.05 was considered significant. Results: Study participants included 69 international undergraduate students studying at SCH university while learning a second foreign language (Korean) during COVID-19 pandemic. There were 57,9 % males and 42 % females in this study. Over half of the students have been living in Korea for over a year (56.5%). Although most of the respondents' Korean competence is level 3, more than half of them report difficulty in listening and understanding Korean in online classes (Zoom) (56,5%). There is no report of difficulty handling electronic devices. According to the findings of this study, the overall results demonstrate that there is a difference between the two types of learning platforms, the student prefers face-to-face learning methods (M=48±13.36) compared to Zoom learning (M=45.30±11.39), t (68) = -1.67, P=0.097. Conclusion: A pandemic of Covid-19 affected many universities around the world. Remote learning became increasingly popular during this crisis. Zoom classes gradually replaced many face-to-face classes. It was not a prepared shift for either instructors or students. Based on the results of this study, most students prefer a face-to-face learning environment. It may be because face-to-face classes allow students to ask questions and instructors to elaborate on difficult points. As a result of interacting with other students, the student gains a sense of belonging to a learning community and develops a deeper understanding of the material.
