LED lighting has excellent characteristics such as long lifetime, high energy efficient, environment friendly. So LED lighting is widely used commercial lighting, sign lighting, landscape lighting, road and tunnel lighting. Recently, LED lighting market shows a strong growth trend throughout the world. Therefore, the market is expected to expand. In generally, LED lighting is the heat radiation characteristics is important because it increases the higher the heat output. Especially, LED street light will have a significant impact on lifetime and properties decreases does not solve the problem because of the high radiation output. Therefore, heat radiation characteristics of the LED street light is very important. Recently, many studies have been carried out to heat the material and design in order to improve the heat radiation characteristics. Therefore, in this study was studied development of LED street light for the expansion of the LED street light market. Heat radiation properties was improved to develop a thermal design by ANSYS program. Lifetime of LED street light improved by replacing SMPS with AC Direct Driver IC. And then. LED street light had been developed excellent design and price competitiveness by the extrusion process.
