Twisted Nematic 모드의 시야각 개선을 위한 필름보상 연구
Optical compensation film using discotic liquid crystals, WV-film, has been commercialized to suppress light leakage of twisted nematic (TN) liquid crystal (LC) cells in the dark state when the viewing directions are off axes. In the conventional film, the tilt angle variation of the discotic LC layers is linear, whereas in rod-like LC layers of the TN cell are nonlinear with twist alignment. We investigated the optical compensation effects in terms of iso-contrast ratio, gray scale inversion and color shift in the compensated TN cell with discotic films having linear and nonlinear tilt orientation without twist angle and having nonlinear tilt with twist angle. In addition, discotic film has been optimized by Rth (out of retardation value) of TAC film as well as by change in orientation of discotic film. The results showed that the optical compensation with nonlinear orientation exhibited an improved performance in suppressing light leakage in the dark state.

군사지리학 학문 체계 정립에 관한 연구 : 도덕성과 전쟁활용의 균형을 중심으로
As a normative study contributing to the promotion of human life in general geographic space related to military affairs, Military geography should be equipped with the capability to describe every geographic elements theoretically and scientifically. Therefore, This research has investigated the entity of military geography and established necessary disciplinary domain based on the consideration for the previous research. This treatise has established four fields such as the definition of study, study domain, research direction, and research task as components of disciplinary domain. The definition must defog the orientation direction for military geography, the disciplinary domain must be composed systematically and logically to correspond with the definition. The research direction must have a capability to propose the reasonable direction of discussion for disciplinary domain, and the research tasks are specific practical fields. Existing definition of military geography has experienced evolution stage with three paradigms such as the connectivity recognition with geography from awakening of necessity for utilization during war fighting, full-fledged utilization for winning the war as a applied geography, and the expansion of research domain forward to peace and humanitarianism and the extensity of armed conflict. So, This treatise made the study of military geography to contribute for the improvement of human life by presenting new definition, which means military geography is studying about the action and the result of action considering the organic connection relationship of geographic components within all domains including war-preparation and war-performance, and post-war, through reviewing previous paradigms. The study domain is composed of four fields including research aim, research domain, research field, research objective corresponding with new definition. The research aim is the improvement of human life within geographic space related to military affairs and the research domain is divided into war-preparation and war-performance, and post-war corresponding with the stage of war study. Each research domain has own research fields and research objectives to act as a power source of efficient research progress. The research direction supports balanced research of morality and war utilization based on the lesson from special stress of war contribution caused research slump phenomenon of military geography. So, this treatise proposed research consciousness enhancement including three fields and the activation of interact relationship between geographical society and education institutions and policy division as a practical measure. Also, this treatise proposed practical research tasks including 26 fields.
