중학교 체육교사들의 보건교육에 대한 인식 및 실태에 관한 연구 : 서울에 소재하는 중학교 체육교사를 중심으로

본 연구는 학교 체육교육에서 체계화 되어있지 않은 보건교육에 대하여 보건교육에 참여하는 중학교 체육교사들의 보건교육에 대한 인식과 보건교육의 실태 등을 파악하고 분석하여 우리 나라 실정에 맞는 효과적인 중학교 보건교육의 방향을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 1999년 현재 서울에 소재한 중학교 중에서 40개 중학교를 단순 무선 표집에 의하여 추출하고, 표집된 40개 중학교의 체육교사 199명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 중학교 체육교사들의 보건교육에 대한 인식 및 실태에 관한 연구에서 사용한 검사도구는 보건교육과 관련된 선행연구 - 배원환(1983), 김동근(1989), 김요한(1991), 이인구(1992), 김재희(1996) - 자료들과 여러 문헌 고찰을 기초로 작성하였다. 제작된 설문지는 본 대학의 체육계열 교수님들의 검토와 논평을 통하여 수정 보완하여 타당성을 검증하였고, 사전 검사를 통해 얻은 30부의 설문지를 토대로 SPSS(Statistical package for the social science) 8.0 프로그램을 이용하여 Chronbach'α 계수를 산출하여 신뢰도를 검증하였다. 가설검증을 위한 통계기법은 SPSS 8.0 프로그램을 이용하여 T-test와, 일원분산분석, Chi-Square를 실시하였다. 이와 같은 연구절차를 거쳐 얻어진 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. ① 교사들의 성별에 따른 보건 교육에 대한 인식은 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타내지 않았다. ② 교사들의 연령 및 교직 경력에 따른 보건 교육에 대한 인식은 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타내지 않았다. ③ 교사들의 근무 학교에 따른 보건 교육에 대한 인식은 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타내지 않았다. ④ 교사들이 근무하고 있는 학교의 설립 주체의 차이에 따른 보건 교육에 대한 인식은 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타내지 않았다. ⑤ 교사들의 연령 및 교직 경력에 따른 보건 교육의 실태는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타내지 않았다. ⑥ 교사들의 근무학교에 따른 보건 교육의 실태는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났는데 보건수업의 방법에서 남자중학교에 근무하는 교사들과 여자중학교와 남녀공학 중학교에 근무하는 교사들간에 유의한 차이가 나타났으며 보건영역의 평가 실시에 있어서 남자중학교에 근무하는 교사들과 여자중학교와 남녀공학 중학교에 근무하는 교사들간에 유의한 차이가 나타났으며, 보건교육의 발전을 저해하는 요인에 있어서 유의한 차이가 나타났다. ⑦ 교사들이 근무하고 있는 학교의 설립 주체에 따른 보건 교육의 실태는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났는데 보건수업의 방법과 보건영역의 평가실시에 있어서 그룹간에 유의한 차이가 나타났다. The purpose of this study is to increase the effectiveness of the health education in middle schools setting. First, we will try to find out the realities of the health education in schools and the ideal of health education of which the physical education teachers think about. We selected 40 middle schools in Seoul by random sampling, and handed out the questionnaires to 199 physical education teachers of the selected schools. The survey materials used in this study were invented after study survey used in previous studies concerning the health education - By Bae Wonhwan(1983), Kim Dongkeun(1989), Kim Yohan(1991), Lee Inku(1992), Kim Jaehee(1996) - and the various related books. Professors of the Department of Physical Education at Yonsei University reviewed and commented on the questionnaires. They also helped to revise and supplement the questionnaires. They verified the validity of the questionnaires. Researcher could verify the reliance of this study by using SP SS (Statistical Package for the Social Science) 8.0 version to get Chronbach's a of the 30 preliminary survey questionnaires. Researcher performed T-test, oneway Anova test and Chi-Square test by using the SPSS statistical package in order to test this study's hypotheses. Based on the results of these procedures, the following conclusions were made. First, in terms of physical education, the sex of teachers does not make any statistical difference in their recognition of the health education. Second, the age and the career of the teachers do not make any statistical differences in their recognition of the health education. Third, the schools work do not make any statistical differences in teachers' recognition of the health education. Fourth, the fact whether the schools are public or not, does not make any statistical differences in the teachers' recognition of the health education. Fifth, the schools where the teachers work do not make any statistical differences in teachers' health education at their schools. Sixth, the fact whether the schools are boys' schools or not, does makes a statistical difference. The teaching methods of the health education in the boy's schools are significantly different from those in the co-ed schools and in the girls' schools. And in the area of the health test, the same difference was be found. These differences can help us to find out what is impeding the development of health education. Seventh, whether the schools are public or private, it makes significant differences to the health education which is going on these days. The public and the private schools are distinguished themselves from teaching methods and the tests of the health education.
