      • 排水閘門의 管理 및 排除流量에 關한 硏究

        This study was carried out to analyze the operation of the sluice gates by taking Sabkyo Reservoir as the model, and to examine the formulae of the design criteria for the Agricultural Land Improvement Project by hydraulic model experiments. The results were summarized as follows; 1. According to the records of gate operation for 9 years, the mean height of the opened gates was 4.13m, the mean number of operated gates were 4.04, the average annual number of operation were 67 times, the average annual operating time were 192.5 hours, and the average operating time were 2.88 hours. 2. The water supplied through Sabkyo Reservoir was 88.15 Megatons per year, which was about 1.4 times the effective storage capacity. And the annual volume of pumping in May, which is the most water demanding season, was 29.56 megatons in average. 3. As the submerged orifice was transformed into the surface orifice, the suggested formulae for the orifice flow on the design criteria for the Agricultural Land Improvement Project showed a discontinuity line on the transition zone. It should be improved, because it is different from the real hydraulic phenomena. 4. The formulae for the orifice flow which are divided into the submerged and surface orifices are being used. However, these formulae could be substituted for the formular, q=C·W□2gHl, if the discharge coefficient considering the reservoir water level, the sea water level, and the gate opening height is used.

        After the study of Okdong, Lee Seo's calligraphic theory, I came to some conclusions as follows. First, he proclaimed the propound calligraphic theory, 'Seo Juk Yin' on the background of Confucian ideology. Second, he established the Korean calligraphic theory creatively. Third, he emphasized the building of the perfect personality and the academic pursuit rather then the techniques or the artistic values. Fourth, he also emphasized the moral trainings for the expression, technipues and artistic sublimation in his book, `Pil Kyul'. They are as follows; 1) harmony of the cosmic dual forces, 2) the writing with the ideal and strong mind 3) the pursuit of right mind, that is to say, honesty 4) the equability that means the harmony 5) the right way or the justice 6) the right method, that is, the right tradition 7) the mindful writing that means the calligrapher's mind appears in each storke. 8) the theory of impartiality or the secret of moderation. Fifth, he provided the calligraphy in Yi-dynasty period with the scholastic foundation. Sixth, he increased the pride of the korean coming calligraphers by learning his theory and also motivated them to develope individual style of calligraphy. Seventh, he attached its importance not only to artistic values to offer the comfort and pleasure from appreciating but also the values of self-morality and self-culture. that is his great achievement in the calligraphic history. It resullted from his constant effort for the study and perfect personality against his own riches and wealth as I referred about his whole life.

      • Type Ⅱ Collagen으로 유발된 관절염에 대한 관절1호방의 억제 효과

        This study was carried out to know the immune responses of the Gwanjulbang-1 (hereinafter referred to GJB-1) in Collagen Ⅱ-induced Arthritis(CIA) Mice. Various experiments were performed to analyze the immune effects of the GJB-1. The results were obtained as follows : 1. The spleen weight was reduced, and Arthritis index change and Arthritis incidence were reduced as a statistical significance compared with control groups. 2. The production of IgG3, IgG2b and IgM RF in the serum were reduced as a statistical significance compared with control groups. 3. There was a statistical significance of CD3+(T), CD19+(B), CD3+/CD69+, CD4, CD8, γδ T cells and CD4+/CD25+ compared with control groups. 4. Joint erosion, infiltrating lymphocytes and synovial proliferation significantly decreased in histological change compared with control groups. The comparison of the results showed that the GJB-1 had immune effects of suppressing or enhancing for the rheumatoid arthritis. So we expect that the GJB-1 should be used as a effective drug for not only the rheumatoid arthritis but also any other auto-immune disease. Therefore we have to research continuously into looking for the effective substances and their mechanisms to control the rheumatoid arthritis in the near future.

      • 유기질 비료 생산을 위한 국내 토착 미생물의 동정 및 이용

        Manure of livestock has been used as a rich source of nutrients for farmland . Although land application of the manures is the least costly and most effecient disposal method, composting of the manures prior to land application has potential advantages of increasing humic components, eliminating plant pathogens and reducing transportation costs by reducing the bulk mass. These studies were conducted process of composting involves the breakdown of complex and simple organic materials by microorganism. These results were summarized as follow; 1. Screening and verification of current microbial inoculants and basic researches for composting was developed microbial inoculants using indigenous microbial. Microbial strains were selected Bacillus subtilis, Paenibacillus macerans L, Plantarum, Rhodopseudomonas sp. for composting strains. 2. The fermentation process was obtained 10^(8) cfu/ml viable cell density within 36 to 48hours. 3. By treating the developed microbial inoculant for composting, the composting process was shorten for about 5 days.

      • 梔子가 Apoptosis 관련 단백질의 발현에 미치는 영향

        본 연구에서는 梔子가 4-HNE에 의해 apoptosis가 유도된 PC-12 cell에서 관련 단백질 발현에 영향을 미치는지 알아보았다. 梔子가 PC-12 cell에 대해 세포독성을 가지는지 알아보고, 4-HNE에 의해 유도된 PC-12 cell의 산화적 스트레스에서 세포보호 효능이 있는지 알아보기 위해 MTT assay가 수행되었다. Apoptosis에 관여하는 단백질인 Bax, Bcl-2, Caspase 3, TNF-α의 발현에 梔子가 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위해 western blot이 수행되었다. 실험 결과, 梔子 물추출물은 PC-12 cell에 대해 세포독성이 없었고, 4-HNE에 의해 유도된 산화적 스트레스에서 PC-12 cell에 대한 세포보호 효능을 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 梔子 물추출물이 apoptosis에 관여하는 인자들인 Bax, Bcl-2, Caspase 3, TNF-α 단백질 발현에 영향을 미쳐 apoptosis를 억제함으로써 손상된 세포를 보호하는 효능이 있는 것으로 나타났다.
