한?중 애니메이션 각색비교 연구 : 한국애니메이션<날아라 슈퍼보드>와 중국애니메이션 <서유기> 중심으로
고전은 전 세계에서 문화콘텐츠의 소재로 애용되고 있다. 그렇지만 같은 고전이라도 각색 작업을 진행하는데에 있어서 각 문화 간에 차이가 존재할 수 있다. 이를 문화적인 배경에 귀결시켜도 합리적이지만 원작에 대한 이해 정도의 차이 역시 일종의 원인이 된다. 고전 중에서 중국의 소설 《서유기》는 각 나라 문화콘텐츠 원천소스의 애용소재로 군림하고 있다. 국제화 배경 아래 문화콘텐츠도 그 추세에 맞춰 국가와 상관없이 고전, 신화 등 창작 원천을 사용하고 있다. 한국과 중국은 역사상으로는 물론이고 문화상에서도 일맥상성이라서 서로의 창작 원천소스를 활용하고 있다. 《서유기》를 각색한 한·중 문화콘텐츠 중에서 가장 많은 부분을 차지하는 것이 바로 애니메이션이다. 이로 인해 본 논문은 한·중 《서유기》에서 각색한 애니메이션을 대비하면서 양국의 각색을 고찰을 하고자 한다. 그 내용은 다음과 같다. 한국의 애니메이션 <날아라 슈퍼보드>는 1990년대에 창작되었으며 주요 관람객은 아동이다. 개방적인 사회 배경에 빙의해 원작을 더 현대적으로 각색하는 수법으로 변형한다. 특히 인물 디자인과 무기 다자인에 있어서 원작과 큰 차이를 가지고 있다. 스토리는 원작의 일부분만 채용하고 시대적인 의미를 가진 요소도 많이 채용한다. 원작과 같지만 관계는 원작과 큰 차이를 가지고 있다. 비록 원작의 스승과 제자로 볼 수도 있지만 같이 여행을 떠나는 친구로 간주해도 합리적이다. 시대 배경에 있어서 현대와 고대를 섞어서 서사를 전개한다. 애니메이션에서 나타난 건물, 인물 복식, 그리고 무기 등 요소들은 현명한 현대적인 특징을 갖추고 있다. 주제의식에 대해 말하자면 원작의 "불심에 일편단심" 주제를 채용하지 않고 수용층을 고려해 더 쉽게 이해할 수 있는 팀원 간에 한 마음을 모여 모든 난관을 극복할 수 있다는 주제를 선정한다. 중국의 애니메이션 <서유기>도 1990년대에 창작하며 주요 수용층을 아동으로 설정한다. 한국과 달리 이 애니메이션은 중국국가의 지지를 받아 《서유기》 원산지로서의 우세를 보여줄 수 있는 작품을 만들자는 목표를 가지고 창작되었다. 이러한 배경아래에서 애니메이션 <서유기>는 원작과 큰 차이가 없고 원작의 복원이라는 결과를 가져오게 된다. 캐릭터 주조는 원작과 똑같으며 관계도 큰 차이가 없다. 비록 인물 간에 관계는 원작과 같이 엄격한 스승과 제자들의 말투는 아니지만 큰 차이는 없다. 주어진 배경은 원작과 일치하고 당나라로 설정하며 원작의 작은 스토리도 많이 복원한다. 인물의 복식, 건물 스타일, 무기 등 요소도 역시 원작과 일치한다. 주제에 있어서 원작의 기본 주제와 일치하지만 수용층을 고려해서 사법을 존경하고 한 마음으로 협력하면 어려움을 극복할 수 있다는 주제도 그의 주제로 채용한다. 비록 같은 시대에 창작되었지만 양국의 정치와 사회 배경에 있어서 큰 차이를 가지고 있으므로, 또한 중국은 원산지로서의 자존심을 가지고 있어서 《서유기》에서 각색한 양국의 애니메이션은 큰 차이를 가지고 있다. 문화콘텐츠를 국가와 상관없이 유통하고 있는 오늘에 양국은 서로의 고전을 각색한데에 있어서 각자가 더 선호하는 각색방향을 잡아 더 혁신적인 수법을 채용하게 된다면 원작의 더욱 큰 효과를 발휘할 수 있다. 오늘 양국의 시대적인 배경을 고려해 《서유기》에 대한 새로운 이해를 고찰해 더 많은 문화콘텐츠 유형에서 활용할 수 있다. 중국은 《서유기》를 각색한 방법을 더 현대적이고 혁신적인 수법을 채용하야 한다. 한국은 《서유기》를 각색할 때 영역을 더 넓혀 영화나 드라마에서 더 큰 성과를 얻을 수 있다. 특히 모바일 문화콘텐츠 영역에서 양국 간 경쟁이 치열해서 《서유기》를 원천소스로 창작하는 데에 서로의 각색 수법을 참고하면서 더 빛나는 결과를 기대해도 될 것이다. Classical novels have always been an important source of inspiration for cultural creation. Under the background of internationalization, classical novels have been given more vitality and more cultural inspiration. But each country has its own cultural background, and the way to adaptation is also characteristic. In many classical novels, <Journey to the West> had been adapted many times in different country. South Korea and China are very similar in both history and culture, and they have also adapted < Journey to the West>. In the adaptation works, animation accounts for the majority. In this thesis, two works are compared and the conclusions are the same with bellowing. South Korea's animation <Flying Super Board>was created in 1990s, the mainly crowd were children. At that time, the cultural policy and cultural environment of South Korea is opened which made this animated film more adaptable to the original work. Although the character structure is the same as the original, the relationship has changed a lot. They are no longer the strict teacher-student relationship in the original work, but team members that to travel together. The background of the story has also changed a lot, whether it is the clothing of the characters, the style of the building, the weapons used by the characters have changed a lot. Because the main audience is children, the animation has also adjusted the theme. The theme of the novel is the loyalty to Buddhism, but it has become a relatively simple theme in the animation which is as long as all of the people work together they can get to succeed. <Journey to the West> of China was also created in 1990s. Unlike South Korea, the animation was created under the support of the state. They asked the animation to restore the content of the original novel to the effect of educating children and let them know that China has such a great novel. Under the background , the novel is basically not very different from the original one. The story is also the original story. The structure and relationship of the characters are all restored to the original. Although not much difference, there are some changes in the relationship. Because the main audience is children, the characters' lines have added a lot of interesting points. The background is also the same with original book which is the Tang Dynasty . The theme is basically the same as the original. But considering that the main audience is children, it not only shows the enthusiasm of the original to Buddhism, but also expresses the theme that if we work hard together we can overcome all the difficulties. In conclusion, the adaptation of South Korea is more innovative and China's adaptation is more conservatism. Today, with the increasingly frequent internationalization of cultural exchanges, the two countries will have more excellent works if they know more about their adaptation styles and apply them to future cultural creation. South Korea can apply the adaptation of <Journey to the West> in various fields. China uses more innovative ideas in the adaptation of <Journey to the West>which not only makes <Journey to the West> more luminous and colorful but also makes the communication between two countries get better understood.
