西洋美術史에서 일루젼(illusion)의 개념은 많은 변화를 가져왔다. 본 연구는 이 과정을 통해 본인의 작품에 나타나는 회화적 공간의 일루젼을 분석하여 조형이념에 대한 이해를 도우려 한다. 본 논문은 다음의 세 장으로 구성되어 있다: 1. 일루젼과 연관된 미술사的인 검토로 알타미라(Altamira)동굴 벽화에서 부터 시작된 再現的 繪畵(representational painting)에서의 공간성과 추상회화 이후에 등장되는 非再現的 繪畵(non-representational painting)에서의 일루젼, 그리고 미술에 등장된 오브제 이후의 일루젼을 연구했다. 2. 공간에 대한 연구로 實際空間과 虛構空間의 연구를 통해 현대에 와서 모호해진 공간개념에 대한 인식을 돕고자 한다. 3. 본인작품의 연구 및 분석에서는 여섯가지의 구분 즉, 1) 리얼리티(reality), 2) 오브제, 3) 투명성과 일루젼, 4) 드리핑(Dripping), 5) 실제공간을 위한 회화연구등을 통해 공간성에 의한 일루젼을 중심으로 고찰했다. 이상의 연구에 의하여 도달할 수 있는 결론은 다음과 같다. 시대에 따라 유동성을 지닌 회화적 공간의 일루젼은 현대에 이르러 허구공간과 실제공간의 구분을 불분명하게 했다. 즉, 공간에 대한 적극적이고 새로운 해석은 조각과 회화의 각 위상을 애매모호하게 만드는 탈장르화 현상을 낳게 했다. 그러므로 본인은 그러한 모호성에서 비롯되는 회화적 공간성의 일루젼에 관한 현대적 개념의 인식을 본인의 실기 작업을 통해 끊임없이 추구해 나아갈 것이다. As we know, illusionistic concept has been changed in the history of art. The purpose of this thesis is an analysis of the illusionistic extensity represented in the pictoriorial space on my painting. This thesis is devided in three chapters: Chapter One deals with the historic survey of the representational painting beginning with the Altamira cave mural Painting, and the illusion in the non-representtinal painting, and the illusion in the concept of "object" Chapter Two discusses about the actual and the false space. It can help us recognize the concept of space which is vague in the contemporary art. Chapter Three have five sections : 1) Reality. 2) Object. 3) Relationship between the transparency and the illusion. 4) Dripping. 5) Painting for the actual space. These five subjects are discussed with the view of the illusionistic extensity in my painting. As a result these studies, I concludes the classification of the illusion in the pictorial space is not necessary to divide into the actual space and the false space. Such division has been obscured in contemporary art. There is no more ramification between sculpture and painting. We need to have a new and positive appreciation of the space. Therefore, through my works, I will make a constant effort to recognize the new concept about the illusionistic extensity in the pictorial space.
