국문초록 우리나라는 세계 빈곤 국가들 중에 하나였다. 그러나 산업화 속에서 급속한 경제적인 성장이 이루어졌고, 의료기술의 발달과 개인의 여러 가지 환경이 개선됨에 따라 평균 수명이 점차 늘어나게 되었다. 평균 수명이 늘어나다보니 사람들은 점점 각 개인에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 이러한 관심은 자기 개발과 함께 자기 자신의 존엄성에 대한 시각적 변화를 가져왔다. 현대 사회에 급속한 경제 발전과 의료 기술의 발달로 노인의 인구가 증가되고, 점점 더 평균 수명이 높아지고 있는 고령화 시대에 노인에 대한 관심을 가지지 않을 수 없게 되었다. 사회의 여러 분야에서 노인에 대한 관심을 갖고 여러 가지 문제를 제기하면서 그 문제를 해결하려고 하지만 수박 겉 할기식의 모습으로 그치는 것을 보게 된다. 쇠퇴하는 한국 교회는 이런 노인의 문제의 심각성을 알고, 노인에 대한 문제를 정확하게 진단하면서 교회의 총체적인 성장을 위해 노인 목회와 선교적 방안을 제안하고자 한다. 본 연구를 통해서 첫째, 노인 개인이 가지고 있는 기본적인 특성과 그에 따른 다양한 문제점들을 살펴보면서 그 문제를 어떻게 해결할 수 있을 지를 제안하고자 한다. 둘째, 사회의 고령화 속에서 교회 또한 고령화가 급속하게 진행 됨에 따라 교회가 가지는 여러 가지 문제를 또한 살펴보면서 앞으로 성장하는 교회가 노인에 대한 접근방법과 교회에서의 역할이 어떠해야 하는지를 살펴볼 것이다. 셋째, 고령화 시대에 노인에 대한 이해와 문제, 교회가 가지는 다양한 문제를 인식하고 노인 목회의 중요성과 필요성, 그에 따른 방법론을 제시할 것이다. 넷째, 노인 개인과 교회의 문제 인식에 근거한 한국교회의 총체적인 노인 목회 전략과 선교적 방안을 제시하면서 다양한 노인 목회 전략을 살펴보면서 그에 따른 평가와 문제점을 제안하고자 한다. 고령화 시대의 문제인식에 근거한 한국교회의 총체적 성장을 위한 노인 목회와 선교 방안을 제안하면서 연구 방법으로는 다음과 같이 사용한다. 첫째, 제 1장 연구문제에서는 연구배경, 연구목적, 문제설정, 연구질문, 연구제한범위, 연구 중요성, 연구절차로 기술한다. 둘째, 제 2장에서는 고령화 시대의 노인에 대한 이해와 특성, 그리고 노인 개인의 문제를 다양한 관점에서 살펴보며, 여러 논문이나 노인에 대한 전문서적을 중심으로 문헌 연구를 활용한다. 셋째, 제 3장은 고령화 시대의 교회가 가질 수 있는 다양한 문제를 살펴보면서 그에 대한 목회 전략을 제안할 것이다. 넷째, 제 4장에서는 고령화 시대에 한국 교회의 노인 목회의 중요성과 필요성, 방향과 다양한 전략을 기술한다. 다섯째, 제 5장에서는 고령화 시대 노인 개인과 교회의 문제 인식에 근거한 노인 목회의 전략과 선교 방안을 제시할 것이다. 노인의 인구가 점점 증거하는 고령화 시대에 교회는 어떠한 역할이 필요한지를 필자가 섬기는 교회를 통해서 고민을 하게 되었고, 그에 따른 고민과 함께 앞으로의 목회 방향 속에서 한국 교회의 총체적인 성장에 대한 생각을 하게 되었다. 본 연구를 통해서 다시 한국 교회 뿐만 아니라 노인에 대한 이해와 함께 정체와 쇠퇴 속에 허덕이는 한국 교회가 다시금 노인 목회를 통해서 한국 교회 성장을 가져오길 기대한다. 그런가 하면, 고령화 시대 노인들이 가지고 있는 다양한 달란트를 교회 성장과 선교에 관심을 갖게 되면 더욱 한국 교회가 성장을 가져올 뿐 아니라 노인들이 하나님의 나라와 복음의 확장을 위해 더욱 기쁘게 헌신하며 충성하게 될 것이다. 노인들에 대해서만 관심을 가지느냐는 질문을 할 수 있다. 그러나 필자는 확신한다. 한국 교회의 총체적 성장을 위해서는 노인의 영성이 다시금 회복되어야 하며, 노인들로 하여금 자녀들이 은혜의 자리, 예배의 자리로 회복될 것을 기대한다. 이러한 면에서 다양한 방법을 결론에서 제시하면서 필자가 섬기는 소망부(70세 이상)의 예를 제시하고, 성장 방안을 논할 것이다. 아무쪼록 본 연구가 교회 성장에 갈급한 목회자에게 뿐 아니라 교회 성장을 위해 관심을 갖고 있는 모든 성도들에게 조금이나마 도움이 되길 소망한다.

고령화 시대 노인 문제 유형과 노인 목회를 통한 교회 성장 방안

【Abstract】 A Patterns of the Problem of the Aged in the Aging Era and Church Growth Plan through the Pastoral Program for the Aged Eum, Hyun Mok Major in Church Growth Professional Gradute School of Pastoral Theological Chongshin University The year of 2018 was definitely a thoughtful year in Korea due to the Olympics that were held in Pyeongchang. Out of the world, the national prestige of Korea soared and we were able to spend a memorable time. Just like any national prestige, Korea has been struggling with various amounts of hurts and problems, which resulted in the heartache of many. The conflict of the ideology of progressivism and conservatism are still lingering. Also while the population of the world has been increasing, Korea is showing a decrease in their population. As the population decreases, more conflicts are developing, especially the labor in the aging society. Unlike other countries in the world, our nation is rapidly spreading as the aging society. Even a few years back, we never took the conflict seriously. But now it has spread way too fast, showing unprepared signs nationally and also in churches. Although, we are trying to take this conflict into perspective, understanding the elders and their welfares, we are still seeing some troubles in coming up with a solution. Not only is it bringing risk to the nation but to the church as well. To this day, the church was never able to prepare for the conflict of the aging society, in particular, bringing attention to the problem of the elders. So in result, the church was unprepared for a pattern of the problem that the elders brought in the churches. This author realized aging of the society was the aging of the church so the author decided to research the different types of problems, how they are actually going to approach the problem, the rise of the church from the solution, and in hopes of improving the church’s achievement in overcoming the problem. Also, to give more of our attention to the elders by trying to understand the culture and their interests, showing sympathy for their pains so that they can reflect and set a goal from the hurtful past that have occurred. The Korean church has been getting into the aging society, and because of the problems with the elderly, we cannot ignore the fast growth. So starting from now, we should reflect back on the problems of the elders and find out the solution individually with the church. There are many different methodologies for Korean church growth. However, without solving the fundamental problem, it seems difficult to suggest a church growth plan easily In the previous experiments, they carefully observed the problems with the elders in the aging society with the help of the solution the church finalized and through those solutions, they experimented more towards the way of overcoming the problem. While performing the experiment, followed by precise observations, they took the base of the previous researches and suggested an alternative by looking further into the advices of the elders, their welfare, education, and their care. The previous thesis consists of six chapters and each of them relates to the same prompt. First chapter introduces the idea, second chapter discusses about the improvements of the church and the understandings of the elderly ministry, third chapter is the elders realization of the aging society, fourth chapter provides the topic of the aging society and the types of conflicts within the elders, fifth chapter continues with the types of the conflicts that had rose from the aging society and the alternative of the improvement of the church, and sixth chapte concludes with the solutions that were discussed previously. In chapter 1, the problem, the research motivation, purpose, the research questions, research methods, research limitations of the study are introduced. In chapter 2, along with the church growth including the biblical and pastoral understanding of the senior ministry, it provides a logical reasoning academically to make the understanding easier. To understand the correct growth of the church, we looked into the theoretical basis of the church’s meaning and essence. We also looked further into the biblical essence of the senior ministry and the relationship between the growth of the church and the ministry itself. In this age of situation, church growth and the elderly ministry can not be considered separately. The reason for this is that the dynamic force of the church growth is from the elderly people now beyond next generation. The population of elders had been increasing, out-numbering the young adults. From those circumstances, the relationships of the church growth and the ministry was understood and explained. In chapter 3, followed by the understandings of the aging society, we discussed how we can come to understand their general, theological, biblical, and historical part of them. Also, through the various theories of the elders, that became a catalyst to understand their conflict’s essential reasoning. Seniors usually want to participate in social activities, especially learning from young adults about the society and experience, while gaining the satisfaction and completing their achievements. Furthermore, their physical, mental, social, educational, and religious aspects were researched to understand the various conflicts and different types of individual interests they had in mind. Including the influential change that they have been going through from the society, while learning about their homes and family, culture and the generation that they had lived in. In chapter 4, it discussed the aging society and the various types of conflicts within the seniors. the concept and the cause of the aging society was found and thoroughly observed how the social status was according to the types of conflicts. the questions of their financial problems, physical problems, problems within the families, and even death were approached by carefully examining those types of conflicts, the influence in the church and the society can be seen by the elders. Along with the changes in the society, the causes and effects, cultural changes, and changes that affected the church as a whole can be seen. In chapter 5, the way to approach the aging society’s problems and another way to improve the church growth through senior ministry was suggested. First, the importance of the ministry counsel and strategies were suggested by practical alternatives to directly promote the cure through counseling. The various programs and the necessity of the counseling theory research also were allowed by training professional counselors to offer counseling systematically. Second, they were able to apprehend the elder’s needs through the senior ministries and education, setting specific goals for senior educations, hiring professional professors to actually train to richly increase their quality of life. The government should be able to secure the manpower of professional teachers and to help solve a wider variety of elderly problems by establishing an organic cooperative system through alliances with churches or welfare institutions within the local communities. Third, while discussing elderly pastures and welfare, the church presented more interest in the welfare of the elderly and the access to welfare of the elderly at the church level, as well as various means of welfare for the elderly at the church, while presenting what the basic direction should be. The church should pay attention to the elderly in the community and understand the problems of the elderly in a more aggressive manner. Fourth, discussing the elderly and pastoral care, it was suggested that, through various types of care, the church should actually look back and take care of the elderly first. A pastoral care can function and play a role through healing and maintenance, reconciliation and parenting. With today's call for a change in the attitude of the church members toward the elderly, the elderly need to recognize that they are the object of care and honor the Bible says, and guide the elderly to faithfully handle their roles through practical care. For the care of the elderly, the church should approach them from a consultative, educational, and welfare, and further, the elderly themselves should be able to realize their care. By taking care of the elderly themselves, the church has shown that it can grow healthier. Chapter 6 summarized the research in this paper, presented its conclusions, and made suggestions for the next study. This dissertation is a study on the types of problems of senior citizens in the aging era and ways to grow churches through the aged population. It has come to the following research conclusions. First, how important it was realized that is to understand the problems and the understanding of the elderly and the biblical, theological, and historical background of the senior ministry. Awareness of an aging era must precede, and without knowing what age it is in, it will never be easy to approach even the various problems of older people. In that respect, understanding the situation of the time, understanding the right understanding of the aged, and understanding the meaning and nature of the church are important factors in establishing a relationship between church growth and the elderly. Having understood church growth as the number of Christians and the building of the church, it was true that there was a lack of real understanding of church growth and elderly pastoralism. Through the relationship between church growth and the elderly pastoral society, the church was able to understand where the church should be concerned and in what direction the church should grow. Second, the understanding of the elderly was able to be better in an ageing age. The vision of the elderly has simply broadened the understanding of the older people, the theory of the elderly has enabled them to trace the problems of the elderly in its essential respects, and the various changes that older people have through their characteristics and their influence on society. The Korean church will suffer from various elderly problems due to aging. Therefore, it is considered important and urgent to understand the elderly. As there is a wide understanding of the elderly, there will be growing interest in the elderly in the future. It should become a Korean church and society that recognizes the elderly at the center of various changes and harmonizes with them. Third, the types of elderly problems in the aging era, along with social problems arising from aging were looked at specifically. The problem of aging is now seen as a social problem and a national problem, now the national burden will increase and economic growth will also slow down. Along with the unemployment of youth, the same problem for the elderly will emerge, putting pressure on social and national development. In addition, there may be government-level difficulties with regards to pension and medical expenses. With these problems, the elderly will face a variety of problems. Through this types of problems, we can understand them and think about how to achieve church growth through the senior ministry. As a whole through the influence of the elderly problem on society and church, changes and trends in society, economy, culture, and church were looked at. As the saying goes, "Know your enemy and who you are, then you'll never lose." An understanding of the elderly's problem will make the direction and goal of the senior ministry even clearer. Fourth, what direction the church should lead in the future was realized in, as looking specifically at senior ministry and church growth plans through the types of problems of aged people in the aging era. The church cannot avoid the old age problem. Therefore, it is necessary to recognize the problem of the elderly, look at the more senior citizens, take a change in the pastoral paradigm for the elderly, and to be able to draw a blueprint for a real aged gathering in terms of counseling, education, welfare, and care for the elderly. The elders assume that they are not needless in church, is not worthy in this era, and will realize that they can be the main force for church growth in aging age, and in hopes to help achieve church growth through old people by referring to practical alternatives presented in chapter 5. This dissertation looked at the types of elderly problems in the ageing age and how to grow a church through the senior ministry. Then, studied how to grow the church through a gathering of senior citizens. Recognizing that the problems of older adults in the aging era are problems for individuals, families, churches and the nation. More active attitudes can greatly help solve and overcome the problems of older people in the aging era. The interest for the elders is the concern for the soul, and the interest for the soul is the foundation of the church growth. We should be true Jesus’ disciples who serve the elders with constant interest and love. 【국문초록】 고령화 시대 노인 문제 유형과 노인 목회를 통한 교회성장 방안 엄 현 목 2018년은 세계가 주목하였던 평창 동계올림픽이 우리나라 평창에서 열리게 된 참으로 뜻깊은 해라 할 수 있다. 세계 속의 한국의 위상이 더욱 높아지는 참으로 중요한 시간을 보내게 되었다. 이러한 국가의 위상에 못지않게 한국은 여러 가지 아픔과 문제로 가슴앓이를 하고 있다. 진보와 보수라는 이념의 갈등이 좀처럼 사그라들지 않고 있다. 또한 세계적으로 인구는 늘어났지만 한국은 점점 인구가 줄어드는 현상을 나타내고 있다. 인구가 줄면서 여러 가지 나타나는 문제들 중에 하나는 바로 저 출산, 고령화의 문제이다. 무엇보다 우리나라는 급속하게 고령화가 진행되고 있다. 불과 몇 년 전만 하더라도 고령화에 대한 문제를 심각하게 생각하지 않았다. 그러나 지금은 너무나 급속하게 찾아온 고령화로 인해서 준비되지 못한 모습들을 국가적으로 혹은 교회적으로 바라보게 된다. 늦게라도 고령화의 문제를 심각하게 받아들이고 국가적으로 노인 문제와 노인 복지에 대해서 대책을 세워가고 있지만 여전히 어려움을 겪고 있음을 보게 된다. 무엇보다 이러한 급속한 고령화는 국가적인 위기 뿐만 아니라 교회의 위기로 다가오게 되었다. 그 동안 교회는 고령화에 대한 대비를 전혀 하지 못했다. 특별히 노인의 문제에 대해서 전혀 관심을 갖지 못했다. 그러다 보니 고령화 시대에 교회는 노인들에게서 나타나는 다양한 문제를 무방비 상태로 접할 수 밖에 없었다. 필자는 이러한 사회의 고령화는 곧 교회의 고령화임을 깨닫고 고령화 시대에 노인들의 문제의 유형들을 살펴보면서 교회가 실질적으로 노인들에 대한 여러 가지 문제의 유형을 어떻게 받아들일지, 그리고 그 문제를 해결함으로써 교회의 부흥, 교회의 성장을 조금이나마 극복하는데 도움이 되었으면 하는 바램으로 연구를 하게 되었다. 또한 고령화 시대 노인에 대한 이해를 높이므로 교회와 가정과 개인이 노인에 대한 관심과 이해를 가지며, 노인의 아픔과 문제가 그들만의 문제가 아닌 개인과 가정과 교회, 더 나아가 국가적인 문제와 아픔으로 여기며 돌아보기를 원하는데 목적을 두었다. 한국교회는 이제 고령화 시대에 접어들었고, 고령화로 인한 노인의 문제들을 방관할 수 없다. 그러므로 이제라도 노인의 문제를 돌아보고, 개인과 교회는 그 대안을 찾아야 할 것이다. 한국교회성장을 위해서는 다양한 방법론들이 많이 있을 것이다. 그러나 근본적인 문제를 해결하지 않고서는 쉽게 교회성장 방안을 제시하기가 어려울 것으로 보여 진다. 본 연구는 이러한 면에서 고령화 시대 노인들의 문제 유형을 면밀히 살펴보고, 교회의 고령화 속에서 노인 문제 해결과 함께 노인 목회를 통한 교회성장 방안을 연구하였다. 구체적으로 노인 문제 유형을 살펴보았으며, 그에 따른 실질적인 대안으로 노인 상담과 노인 교육, 노인 복지, 노인 돌봄의 대안을 제시하였다. 본 논문은 총 6장으로 구성되어 있으며 각 장의 주제는 다음과 같다. 제1장 서론, 제2장 교회성장과 노인 목회의 이해, 제3장 고령화 시대의 노인의 이해, 제4장 고령화 사회와 노인 문제의 유형, 제5장 고령화 시대 노인 문제 유형과 노인 목회를 통한 교회성장 방안, 그리고 제6장 결론으로 구성되어 있다. 제1장은 서론으로써 문제 제기, 연구 목적, 연구 질문, 연구 방법, 연구 의의, 연구 한계, 그리고 선행 연구 및 용어 정의에 대해서 살펴보았다. 제2장에서는 ‘교회성장과 노인 목회의 성경적·목회적 이해’로써 교회성장과 노인 목회에 대한 다양한 이해를 돕기 위해서 이론적 학문적인 논리를 전개하였다. 교회성장을 바르게 이해하기 위해서 교회성장의 이론적 근거와 교회의 의미와 본질을 살펴보면서 교회성장의 다양한 근거를 살펴보았다. 노인 목회에 대한 이해와 성경적인 근거, 교회성장과 노인 목회의 관계를 살펴보았다. 이 시대의 상황을 볼 때 교회성장과 노인 목회를 분리해서 생각할 수 없게 되었다. 그 이유는 교회의 성장 동력은 다음세대를 넘어 이제는 노인들이라 할 수 있기 때문이다. 노인들의 인구가 늘어가고 있고, 노인들의 숫자는 젊은이를 넘어서고 있다. 그러한 차원에서 교회성장과 노인 목회의 관계를 이해하고 설명하였다. 제3장에서는 ‘고령화 시대의 노인의 이해’를 다루면서 노인을 어떻게 이해할 것인지 노인에 대한 일반적, 성경적, 신학적, 역사적인 이해를 살펴보았다. 또한 노인에 대한 다양한 이론을 통해서 노인들이 가지는 문제의 본질적인 원인을 깊이 이해하고 인식하는 계기가 되었다. 노인은 스스로 사회적 활동과 참여를 원하고 있고, 사회나 젊은이들로부터 분리를 경험함으로 오히려 만족감과 성취감을 높이려는 모습들이 있음을 살펴보았다. 더 나아가 노인들이 가지고 있는 신체적, 심리적, 사회적, 교육적, 종교적인 특성을 이해함으로 노인들에 대한 다양한 문제 유형의 모습과 노인들이 가지는 개개인의 특성을 살펴보았다. 또한 노인들이 사회적인 변화 속에서 다양한 영향 아래에 놓여 있음을 살펴보면서 노인들이 가지고 있는 위치와 가족, 문화와 세대 간의 모습을 제시하였다. 제4장에서는 ‘고령화 사회와 노인 문제의 유형’을 다루었다. 고령화에 대한 개념과 원인을 찾고, 고령화의 문제로 인해서 사회적인 상황이 어떠한 지를 살펴보았다. 또한 고령화 사회 속에서 노인 문제의 유형을 아주 구체적으로 살펴보았다. 노인이 가지는 경제적인 문제, 신체적인 문제, 가정의 문제, 심리적인 문제, 죽음의 문제 등등 노인들이 가지고 있는 다양한 문제에 접근해 보았고, 그 문제를 구체적으로 살펴봄으로써 노인들이 교회와 사회에 어떠한 영향을 끼치고 있는지를 볼 수 있었다. 아울러 노인 문제가 사회적으로 경제적으로 미치는 변화와 영향, 문화적인 변화, 그리고 교회 전반에 가져온 변화를 살펴보았다. 제5장에서는 ‘고령화 시대의 노인 문제 유형과 노인목회를 통한 교회성장 방안’을 제시하였다. 첫째로 목회 상담의 중요성과 방법에 대해서 제시하면서 상담의 유형과 방법, 그 실천대안으로 적극적인 홍보와 상담을 통한 치료와 예방을 제시하였다. 또한 다양한 프로그램과 상담 기법 연구의 필요성, 전문적인 상담자를 훈련하며 제도적으로 상담을 제공하는 것을 제시하였다. 둘째로 노인 목회와 교육에 대해서 논하면서 노인의 욕구를 파악하고, 노인 교육의 목표를 설정, 기획하고 전문적인 교사를 양성하여 실제적으로 노인의 삶의 질을 높여주고, 풍요롭게 하도록 제시하였다. 전문적인 교사의 인력을 확보하고, 지역 사회 내의 교회나 복지 기관과의 연합을 통해서 유기적인 협력체계를 구축하여 보다 다양한 노인 문제를 해결할 수 있도록 도움을 줄 수 있어야 한다. 셋째로 노인 목회와 복지에 대해 논하면서 교회에서의 복지 정책과 기본적인 방향이 어떠해야 하는지를 제시하면서 교회가 노인의 복지에 더 많은 관심과 함께 교회에서 할 수 있는 노인 복지의 다양한 방법들, 교회 차원에서의 노인 복지에 대한 접근을 제시하였다. 교회는 지역 사회에 노인들에게 관심을 가져야 하며 교회 내의 노인들에게도 보다 적극적인 자세로 노인들의 문제를 이해해야 한다. 넷째로 노인과 목회적 돌봄에 대해 논하면서 다양한 돌봄의 유형을 통해서 실질적으로 교회가 노인을 돌아보고, 살피는 일이 우선이 되어야 함을 제시하였다. 목회적 돌봄은 치유와 유지, 인도와 화해, 양육의 모습을 통해서 그 기능과 역할을 해 나갈 수 있다. 오늘날 노인에 대한 교인들의 태도의 변화 촉구와 함께 노인들은 돌봄의 대상이요, 성경이 말하는 공경의 대상임을 인식하고 실질적인 돌봄을 통해서 노인들이 자신의 역할을 충실히 감당할 수 있도록 안내할 필요가 있다. 노인의 돌봄을 위해서 교회는 상담과 교육과 복지적인 차원에서 접근해야 하며, 더 나아가 노인 스스로도 돌봄을 실현해 나갈 수 있어야 한다. 노인 스스로를 돌보는 모습을 통해서 교회는 더욱 건강하게 성장해 나갈 수 있음을 제시하였다. 제6장은 본 논문의 연구를 요약하고 결론을 제시하였으며 다음 연구를 위한 제언을 하였다. 본 논문은 고령화 시대 노인 문제 유형과 노인 목회를 통한 교회성장 방안에 관한 연구로서 다음과 같은 연구 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 고령화 시대의 노인들에게 나타나는 문제와 노인에 대한 이해 그리고 노인 목회에 대한 성경적, 신학적, 역사적인 배경을 이해하는 것이 얼마나 중요한지를 깨닫게 되었다. 고령화 시대에 대한 인식이 선행되어야 하며, 지금 현 시대가 어떠한 시대적인 상황에 놓여 있는지를 알지 못한다면 결코 노인들이 가지는 다양한 문제에 조차도 접근하기 어려울 것이다. 그런 면에서 볼 때 시대적인 상황을 이해하고, 노인 목회에 대한 바른 이해와 교회의 의미와 본질을 이해하는 것은 교회성장과 노인 목회에 대한 관계성을 정립하는데 있어서 중요한 요인이 된다. 그 동안 교회성장을 교인의 숫자나 교회의 건물로 이해를 하다 보니 실질적인 교회성장과 노인 목회에 대한 이해가 부족했던 것이 사실이다. 교회성장과 노인 목회의 관계를 통해서 이 시대에 교회가 어디에 관심을 가져야 하며, 어떠한 방향 속에서 노인 목회를 통하여 교회가 성장해 나가야 하는지 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 고령화 시대에 노인에 대해 보다 깊이 이해를 할 수 있었다. 노인을 바라보는 안목이 단순히 나이가 많은 사람에서 보다 체계적인 이해의 폭을 넓힐 수 있었으며, 노인에 대한 이론을 통해서 노인 문제를 본질적인 차원에서 추적할 수 있었으며, 노인의 특성과 노인이 사회에 미치는 영향을 통해서 노인이 가지는 다양한 변화의 모습들을 살펴보았다. 한국 교회는 고령화로 인해서 다양한 노인의 문제를 겪게 될 것이다. 그러므로 노인을 이해하는 것이 중요하며 시급하다고 여겨진다. 노인을 이해하는 폭 만큼 앞으로 한국교회는 노인에 대한 관심이 커져갈 것이다. 다양한 변화 중심에 노인들이 있음을 알고 함께 조화를 이루어가는 한국교회와 사회가 되어야 할 것이다. 셋째, 고령화로 인해서 나타나는 사회적인 문제와 함께 고령화 시대 노인 문제 유형을 구체적으로 살펴보았다. 고령화로 인한 문제는 개인의 문제를 넘어 이제 사회적인 문제, 국가적인 문제로 나타나고 있다. 국민적인 부담이 증가하며, 경제성장률 또한 둔화되거나 저하시키는 요인이 될 것이다. 청년 일자리 문제와 함께 노인의 일자리 문제가 나타나며, 사회개발과 국가 발전에 부담으로 다가올 것이다. 아울러 연금 및 의료비 부담에 대한 정부차원의 어려움이 나타날 수 있다. 이러한 문제와 함께 노인들은 다양한 문제 앞에 놓여 있다. 이러한 노인 문제 유형을 통해서 노인들을 어떻게 이해하며, 노인 목회를 통해서 교회성장을 어떻게 이룰 수 있는지를 고민할 수 있는 계기가 되었다. 노인 문제가 사회와 교회에 미치는 영향을 통해서 사회, 경제, 문화, 교회 전반에 나타난 변화와 흐름을 살펴보았다. “지피지기면 백전백승”한다는 말처럼 노인 문제에 대한 이해는 노인 목회에 대한 방향성과 목표를 더욱 분명히 할 수 있을 것이다. 넷째, 고령화 시대 노인 문제의 유형을 통해서 노인 목회와 교회성장 방안을 구체적으로 살펴보면서 앞으로 교회가 노인 목회를 어떠한 방향으로 이끌어 나아가야 할지를 깨닫게 되었다. 교회는 노인 문제를 피할 수 없다. 그러므로 노인 문제를 인식하고 더욱 노인을 살피고, 노인들을 위한 목회적 패러다임의 변화를 가져야 하며, 노인을 상대로 하는 상담, 교육, 복지, 돌봄의 차원에서 실질적인 노인 목회에 대한 청사진을 목회자들이 그릴 수 있어야 한다. 노인은 교회에서 필요 없는 존재들, 이 시대에 가치 없는 존재들이 아님을 기억하고 더욱 존귀하게 여기고, 노인들이 고령화 시대에 교회성장의 주역이 될 수 있음을 기억하고 5장에서 제시한 실천적인 대안을 참고함으로 노인 목회를 통한 교회성장을 이루는데 큰 도움이 되길 소망한다. 본 논문은 고령화 시대 노인 문제 유형과 노인 목회를 통한 교회성장 방안에 관한 연구로서 노인 문제 유형을 살펴보았다. 그리고 그에 따른 노인 목회를 통한 교회성장 방안을 연구하였다. 고령화 시대 노인의 문제는 개인과 가정, 교회와 국가적인 문제임을 인식하고 보다 적극적인 자세로 임할 때 고령화 시대의 노인의 문제를 해결하고, 극복하는데 큰 도움이 될 수 있음을 확신한다. 노인의 관심은 곧 영혼의 관심이요, 영혼의 관심은 곧 교회성장의 밑거름이 된다는 사실을 기억하고 끊임없는 관심과 사랑으로 섬기는 참된 예수의 제자가 되어야 할 것이다.
