        The purpose of this study was to examine the value and limits of women's education in terms of freedom and equality, which was suggested by Rousseau. He has been estimated to be the very starter of women's education. For this study, I looked into the society around women in 18th century, which had stimulated his thoughts, and his view to women along with contents of women's education during the period. His core thought was emphasized on the value of human being as a subject of equality and he opened possibility that women were to be equal with men in virtual situation, which he called the state of nature. However, he didn't apply to women. His works treated of education of women but failed to encourage the realization of women's freedom and equality. He argued that men and women were born with inequality so that they were supposed to be treated differently: they were to be respected by gender distinction and their own independence. He insisted, therefore, that we should admit the discrimination either mentally or physically. The thought of Rousseau on women was the criticism against women in vanity in French novelty, was represented well in Emile and was reflected to women education. He took the education by the nature as a comprehensive link to the entire women's education and presented men and women's respective characteristics to adopt the education of their fixed roles by characteristics. There was still such a contradiction against his freedom and equality theory when he contended biological decision led the distinction between men and women and looked down on women as men's complement, excluding women from political and social area and presented different education for women from men's. Rousseau set forth the freedom and equality, which, however, was only applied to men and his women's education theory was merely in the frame of men-centered ideology. Women's education was rather a means to make an ideal home than for women themselves. Though the main stream also seized Rousseau, he admitted women as different subjects from men and drew them in the circle of education, seeing the possibility of women's education. Women's education implies historical significance, as the door to education was open to women since Emile.

      • 수로 및 소규모하천의 환경친화적 정비공법에 대한 안전성 해석

        한글초록: 본 연구에서는 환경친화적 공법의 역기능으로 지적되고 있는 홍수피해에 대하여, 식생의 식재 등으로 인한 하천에서의 홍수위 변화와 공법의 허용유속 및 소류력에 대한 수리․수문학적인 안정성 분석을 통한 지속적인 환경친화적 호안공법의 정착 방안을 모색하고, 친환경 정비수로의 치수설계에 있어 기초 자료로 이용하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 환경친화적으로 조성된 경기도 여주군 송삼지구 제2호 배수로와 강원도 원주시에 위치한 동막천, 원증천을 연구대상지역으로 선정하여, 환경친화적 공법 적용 후 정비에 따른 안전성 분석을 다음과 같은 방법으로 수행하였다. 1) 대상지역의 실측자료를 통해 HEC-RAS 모형의 입력 값을 확보하고, 2) 조도계수는 바닥부분과 사면부 식생 피복을 고려하여 0.03~0.045의 값을 점차적으로 변화시켜 계산된 설계홍수량에 의한 홍수범람 및 수리특성을 모의하였으며, 3) 모의된 수리학적 자료를 통해 하천과 수로에서의 적용공법에 대한 안전성을 분석하였다.홍수 후 각각의 단면들에 대해서 모니터링 한 결과 유속이 빠르게 나타난 부분에 대해서 유실이나 제방 붕괴가 발생한 것으로 조사되어 모형에 의한 모의 결과와 유사하게 나타는 것으로 분석되었다. 모의 구간에 적용된 공법에 대해 모니터링 결과, 홍수에 의한 유실이나 붕괴발생 부분이 없는 것으로 조사되어 대상지역의 환경친화적으로 조성된 공법들은 홍수에 비교적 안전한 것으로 판단되며, 제시된 유속 및 소류력 자료는 공법의 계획 및 설계 시 참고자료로 활용 가능할 것으로 판단된다 영문초록: Many studies have been fulfilled for the consolidation of rivers, and recently some environment favorable techniques and materials are popular. The interest for the consolidation of irrigation and drainage canals and small streams in rural area environmentally and ecologically favorable are sharply increasing because of the growth of living standard and environmental conservation. For these reasons, many consolidation methods in the way of environmentally and ecologically favorable have been developed in Korea. However, these methods or techniques tend to focus on the landscape rather than the safety of structures. Hydraulic safety of the consolidated structures using different techniques and materials should be studied in flood condition. The purpose of this study is to produce the data for the planning and designing environment friendly canals and small streams hydraulically safe. In this study, hydraulic safety of the consolidation methods adapted to the environment friendly canals and small streams has been analyzed, and for this, the input data of HEC-RAS model was monitored in situ, and the mean flow velocity and the tractive force at the design flood under various roughness coefficient was simulated, and the safety of different methods have been compared

      • Size-related comparison between enzyme activity and mRNA for the lactate dehydrogenase in freshwater fish(Rhynchocypris oxyephalus)

        젖산탈수소효소 (Lactate dehydrogenase, EC.1.1.1.27. LDH)는 에너지 대사작용에 관련된 중요한 당분해 효소중 하나이다. 젖산탈수소효소의 활성도는 계절의 변화, 하루의 시간, 스트레스 등 생리, 생태 환경과 관련되어 있다(Vermouth et al., 1984 ; Kolok, 1992). 개체의 크기와 근육의 LDH 활성도 사이의 상관관계 여부와 근육의 LDH 활성도가 유전자의 전사 조절에 의하여 조절되는 지를 확인하고자 국내에 널리 서식하는 담수어의 일종인 잉어과의 버들치(Rhynchocypris oxycephalus)의 백색근(white skeletal muscle)을 재료로 LDH의 활성도와 LDH mRNA의 양을 동시에 측정하고, 물고기 개체의 크기와 LDH 활성도, LDH 활성도와 LDH mRNA양 사이의 상관관계를 분석하였다. LDH partial cDNA를 탐침자로 사용하여 northern blot analysis로 LDH mRNA를 정량하였다. LDH 활성도는 버들치의 무게가 증가할수록 증가되었다(LDH activity = 0.1□weight(g) + 0.72, p<0.002). 반면, LDH mRNA 양과 물고기 개체의 크기와 LDH 활성도와 mRNA 양 사이에는 상관관계가 나타나지 않았다(p>0.15). 이상의 결과는 버들치에서 개체 크기의 증가에 비례한 LDH 활성도의 증가는 전사 조절에 의한 것이 아니고 전사 후 조절에 의한 것임을 시사한다. Lactate dehydrogenase (EC.1.1.1.27. LDH) is one of the most important glycolytic enzymes concerned anaerobic energy metabolism. LDH activity is related to the various physiological and environmental conditions, including the season, the time of day, and stress (Vermouth. et al., 1984; Kolok, 1992). To ascertain the relationship between the body size and the LDH activity, and whether the LDH activity is regulated under the control of transcription rate, the levels of LDH activity and LDH mRNA were measured simultaneously in white skeletal muscle in fish(Rhynchocypris oxycephalus), and the relationship between body weight and LDH activity and that between LDH activity and its mRNA level were analyzed. The quantities of LDH mRNA were measured by Nothern blot analysis using LDH partial cDNA probe. LDH activities increased as the body weight went up (LDH activity = 0.1□body weight(g) + 0.72, p<0.002). Contrary to that, there were no significant correlations between LDH mRNA amount and fish weight nor between LDH activity and its mRNA level(p>0.15). These results suggest that the size-related increase in LDH activity is regulated by post-translational level not transcriptional control in fish(Rhynchocypris oxycephalus).
