(The) promotion of the agriculture sector and the role of government in least developed countries : empirical analysis and policy recommendations

Agriculture is one of the most important industries in many Least Developed Countries. Although many of them have recently shown an incredible growth, it is still and has been one of the most challenging tasks to overcome in fighting against the poverty. LDCs are trying to enhance the agriculture sector that will provide sustainability. Besides, agriculture sector has always been a sensitive issue between countries.
In this paper, its purpose is to find out how various factors and policies can be effective to the development of agriculture and rural development outcomes. The study aims to identify the effectiveness or the linkage of the endogenous factors weather it can contribute to productivity in enhancing the agriculture sector in some LDCs.
This paper is targeting about one hundred LDCs around the world. There will be a brief description of theoretical background about economic growth related to agriculture along with the examination of the related literatures about agriculture sector in LDCs. Then, the paper will be dealing with the empirical analysis using SPSS tool set and its interpretation.
