공군 방공무기통제사의 심리적 문제에 대한 합의적 질적 연구 = The consensual qualitative research of air force air defense weapons controllers' psychological difficulties

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 방공무기통제사가 작전을 수행하면서 갖게 되는 심리적 문제를 이해하고 그들이 원하는 해결방향을 발견하는 것이다. 이를 위해 다음과 같은 연구 문제를 설정하였다. 첫째, 방공무기통제사의 작전적 어려움은 무엇인가? 둘째, 이로 인해 발생하는 심리적 문제는 무엇인가? 셋째, 방공무기통제사는 이를 극복하기 위해 어떤 대처 방법을 선택하였는가? 넷째 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 제도적으로 지원해줄 장치는 무엇인가? 이다. 연구 수행을 위해 교대근무를 하는 방공무기통제사(기사) 12명을 대상으로 심층면접을 실시하고 합의적 질적 연구 방법(Consensual Qualitative Research)으로 분석을 실시한 결과 6개 영역과 23개의 범주가 도출되었다. 각 영역은 ‘작전수행 관련 어려움’, ‘교대근무 관련 어려움’, ‘작전수행 및 교대근무 관련 어려움에 따른 영향’, ‘심리적인 어려움을 극복하는데 도움이 된 것’, ‘근무환경과 관련된 기대 및 요구’, ‘상담체계의 요건’ 이었다.
도출된 영역과 범주를 통해 얻게 된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 방공무기통제사는 단기간에 항공작전 전문지식과 지속적으로 숙련된 통제 능력이 요구되고, 항공기 사고 위험에 노출되어 있으며 불확실한 상황을 통제해야 하고, 특수한 근무조건 안에 있으며 통제행위를 수행할 때 팀워크가 요구되었다. 둘째 교대근무로 인해서 규칙적인 휴식 및 수면이 보장이 되지 않으며 가족 및 지인과 관계 유지가 어려웠다. 셋째, 이로 인해 심리적으로 많은 영향을 받고 있었으며 신체적으로도 어려움을 겪고 있었다. 넷째, 극복하는 데 도움이 되었던 것으로는 동료들과 대화나 의논하는 것을 가장 많이 꼽았으며 심리적인 지원과 운동 등의 취미활동을 언급하였다. 다섯째, 심리적인 어려움을 낮출 수 있는 방안에 대한 의견으로는 전문적인 심리상담, 교대근무체계와 보상체계 개선을 이야기하였다. 마지막으로 방공무기통제사가 바라는 상담체계에 대한 요건에 대해서 구체화하였다.
이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 상담에 대한 시사점과 더불어 본 연구의 제한점과 후속 연구의 제언을 논하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to understand the psychological difficulties that air defense weapons controllers have in carrying out operations and to discover the solutions they want. To this end, the following research questions were established: First, what are the operational challenges of air defense weapons controllers? Second, what are the psychological difficulties that arise from this? Third, what response did the air defense weapons controllers choose to overcome? Fourth, what devices would you systematically support to solve this problem?
In-depth interviews were conducted with 12 air defense weapons controllers(air defense weapons control technician) working shifts to conduct the research, and analysis was conducted using a Consensual Qualitative Research. The analysis produced six areas and 23 categories. Each area was 'operational difficulties', 'shift-work difficulties', 'effects from operational performance and shift-work difficulties', 'induced to overcome psychological difficulties', 'work environment expectations and demands' and 'requirements of consultation system'.
The results obtained from the areas and categories derived are as follows: First, air defense weapons controllers required short-term expertise in air operations and continuous skilled control, exposure to aircraft accident hazards, uncertain situations, and teamwork when performing control activities. Second, due to shift-work, regular rest and sleep were not guaranteed and it was difficult to maintain relationships with family and acquaintances. Third, it was affected psychologically and physically. Fourth, the most helpful thing to overcome was to talk or discuss with colleagues and to have hobbies such as exercise and psychological support. Fifth, opinions on ways to reduce psychological difficulties addressed professional psychological counseling, improvement of shift system and compensation system. Finally, I have specified the requirements for the consultation system that the air defense weapons controllers want.
Based on these findings, I discussed implications for consultation as well as the limitations of this study and suggestions for further study.
