In this paper, a spread spectrum clock generator (SSCG) with sawtooth modulation profile is proposed. Simulation results show that the sawtooth modulation profile performs better EMI reduction than both the sine modulation profile and the triangle modulation profile. The proposed SSCG has been fabricated in 0.18um CMOS process. The spread spectrum clock generator with proposed sawtooth modulation profile generates output clocks at 1.5GHz, a 5000ppm down spread with a modulation frequency of 30∼33kHz.
