The propose of this study was to investigate the influences of emotional intelligence and ego-resilience on interpersonal problems in undergraduate students. 386 college students answered the questionnaire consisting of Emotional Intelligence Inventory, Ego- Resilience Inventory and Interpersonal Problems Inventory. The data were analyzed by regression analysis.
emotional intelligence and ego- resilience had significant influence on interpersonal problems. The higher Emotional Intelligence and Ego- Resilience students had, the less Interpersonal Problems they had. Specifically, emotional intelligence influenced on coldness, socially control, self centerdness, nonassertiveness, dominance, self sacrifice and coldness was the factor of the interpersonal problems which was influenced the most. ego- resilience influenced on nonassertiveness, socially control, coldness, self centerdness, over nurturant and nonassertiveness was the factor of the interpersonal problems which was influenced the most.
These results represented a necessary step n developing a counselling program to enhanced Emotional Intelligence and Ego- Resilience to reduce Interpersonal Problems.
Finally, implications and limitations of this study were discussed.
