In order to examine the historical nature of the 10.27 Dharma Difficult(法難), In this study, the 10.27 Dharma Difficult(法難) in 1980 was defined as a oppression against Buddhism. In this study, I tried to examine who was the subject of the oppression, and what was the outcome of the Buddhist oppression. Through this, the purpose was to clarify the development process and nature of the 10.27 Dharma Difficult(法難). Therefore, by comprehensively analyzing the literature study of the law, it was intended to suggest future issues of the Buddhist world, and the results according to the research purpose are as follows.

As a result of the study, the encroachment occurred in the dictatorship in which Korean Buddhism was invaded and repressed in the history of the 20th century, and at that time Buddhism saw that overcoming the Dharma Difficult(法難) was the last way to regenerate Buddhism. At that time, Buddhism had both external and internal viewpoints, so it had both internal and external factors that could jeopardize the Buddhist world, and the problem of external viewpoints caused by repression was pointed out as a powerful factor that caused the 10.27 Dharma Difficult(法難) to occur. This is an abuse of state power, and it was confirmed that the political sphere tried to justify this behavior by injecting facts and other various contents into the public for the suppression of the Buddhist world.

The 10.27 Dharma Difficult(法難) was enforced under the name of a social level of cleansing measures, and it was a case in which the basic rights of the people were damaged by state violence, and it can be defined as a case with the nature of religious repression. In the midst of this, Buddhism was denied in society, and religious honor and dignity fell. However, as a result of constant struggle and failure to surrender, it has resulted in the establishment of a moral society with democracy and universal ethics. In addition, an opportunity for the development of the Buddhist world itself was provided, and the internal self-cleaning ability was established, and the direction to eradicate corrupt Korean Buddhism and set the course of development. This is how the Buddhist world can re-examine the law as a struggle for civil recognition of national violence through the process of liquidating the 10.27Dharma Difficult(法難).

10.27 Dharma Difficult(法難) will become an object that moves like a living life, and continuous research should be conducted as a part of modern Korean history. From a macroscopic point of view, it can be seen that Buddhism's independence and resolution of internal Buddhism problems have been achieved. In addition, it was found that it was necessary to establish an independent operating framework and to prepare an institutional mechanism that allows ordinary believers to participate as well as establishing the unique character of Buddhism. As for the 10.27 Dharma Difficult(法難), such as 5.18 and 4.3, there were no research institutes, so exhibitions and academic research were insufficient. Therefore, there is a need for institutional supplementation to establish a research institute and to conduct exhibitions and academic events.

The limitations and suggestions of this study are as follows.
First, since this study conducted research and analysis through literature research, there may be limitations in its interpretation. In a future study, a qualitative study, such as in-depth interviews with Buddhist personnel and experts related to the 10.27 Dharma Difficult(法難), is required, and research that can vividly testify on the situation of the 10.27 Dharma Difficult(法難) at the time is necessary. Research is also needed in relation to quantitative research. Therefore, it is considered that studies of various approaches to complement this need to be conducted.

Second, there was a lack of various literature and academic research related to the 10.27 Dharma Difficult(法難). It is believed that not only books but also academic reviews and various approaches on 10.27 Dharma Difficult(法難) are needed. In the modern and contemporary history of Korea, we need a multi-faceted approach to this so that we can reflect and develop morally, ethically, and religiously without forgetting.
