This study is intended to investigate the perception of home-based occupational therapy among 200 occupational therapists from June 7, 2021 to June 16, 2021. A total of 200 questionnaires were answered, and the results were as follows.
First, occupational therapists who participated in the questionnaire were 154 women (77%), the age of 112 (55%) 26-30 years old, and 71 patients (35.5%) with a clinical experience of 3 to 5 years or more 99 students (49.5%) had a bachelor's degree and 97 (48.5%) worked at a rehabilitation hospital.
Second, 81 people (40.5%) responded negatively to whether they were aware of home-based occupational therapy, and 70%, 68.5%, and 66.5%, respectively, said that they did not respond to the systemicity, information accessibility, and satisfaction of home-based occupational therapy in Korea. gave a negative response. A total of 184 people (92%) answered that home-based occupational therapy was necessary. Regarding the application of medical insurance, 141 people (63.5%) responded positively, and the approach method was high in 'activity of daily living training' (33.2%) and 'home environment modification' (19.3%). As for the expected effect, the availability of 'activity daily of living training' suitable for the actual home environment was the highest at 76.0%, and the problem with the lack of legal system was the highest at 57.0%.
Third, in the difference in necessity according to general characteristics, the need was higher among those aged 31-35 than those of those aged 26-30 (p>.05). Regarding the operation plan and details, the respondents aged 31 to 35 and 36 years of age and older responded more positively to the application of medical insurance than those aged 26 to 30. According to the final educational background, the positive responses to medical insurance application were higher in professional bachelor's and master's degree than bachelor's degree. (p>.05)
As a result of this study, there were differences in the need for home-based occupational therapy, operation plan, and details according to the general characteristics, and further research is needed to generalize the results of this study. It is meaningful as a basic research that can raise awareness and emphasize the necessity of home-based occupational therapy by examining the awareness and necessity of home-based occupational therapy, and various studies on home-based occupational therapy should be conducted in the future.
