Nowadays, many kinds of simulations are being proceeded to imitate and foresee the result of actual situations economically. Discrete event system formalism(DEVS formalism) is often used in implementing simulation models because it has advantage to specify the target system easily by distinguishing between internal events and external events.
Generally, simulation development process contains the procedure establishing the system dynamics and implementing the simulation model with it. In this procedure, testing each model should be prompted frequently and this takes lots of time.
This paper proposes a development support method using C-interpreter for dealing with frequent testing situations to develop discrete event simulation models. This method shortens the whole development process so that developers can save the time by adding test codes without re-compilation. Finally, in order to show the feasibility of this method, this paper introduces a simulation model based on the DEVsim++, discrete event system simulation development tools.
